Newt Gingrich released a new ad today, hitting Mitt Romney over his support for Paul Tsongas in the 1992 Massachusetts Primary, his blind trust investments in Fannie and Freddie, and his denial of having seen an ad he in fact approved. The new spot, which quotes Mike Huckabee, was quickly responded to by Huckabee. Through his PAC, Huckabee released a statement saying "Any use of an out of context quote from the Republican Presidential primary 4 years ago in a political ad to advocate for the election or defeat of another candidate is not authorized, approved, or known in advance by me."

Newt Gingrich's superPAC Winning Our Future has been making a habit of recycling old attacks on Mitt Romney. First, they released a widely panned documentary, When Mitt Romney Came To Town.
