BuzzFeed spoke recently to Ben Jones, who played Cooter on the Dukes of Hazzard, ran against Newt Gingrich in 1994, and who really hates him. Here's the infamous anti-Newt rap ad that he ran which failed to stop Gingrich. It's like he distilled the entire 1990s into one 30 second ad.

Mike Huckabee Hits Gingrich Over Out Of Context Quote

Newt Gingrich released a new ad today, hitting Mitt Romney over his support for Paul Tsongas in the 1992 Massachusetts Primary, his blind trust investments in Fannie and Freddie, and his denial of having seen an ad he in fact approved. The new spot, which quotes Mike Huckabee, was quickly responded to by Huckabee. Through his PAC, Huckabee released a statement saying "Any use of an out of context quote from the Republican Presidential primary 4 years ago in a political ad to advocate for the election or defeat of another candidate is not authorized, approved, or known in advance by me."
