Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging

At BuzzFeed, it's important to us that our employees reflect the diversity in the world around us and that we cultivate an environment where everyone feels empowered to be their authentic self. Much of the work being done to create this environment is through our DI&B Council and our Employee Resource Groups.

We’ve created an environment where employees can bring their authentic selves to work while building tools and creating content that spreads joy and truth, and helps connect people across the globe.

BuzzFeed's Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Council leads company-wide initiatives that help to cultivate an environment that enables employees to bring their authentic selves to work and that ensures our internal processes are inclusive. The Council is comprised of employees from across the organization who work on projects that aim to increase diversity in recruiting, advance employees of color internally and amplify voices and challenges so that everyone is heard and feels a sense of belonging at BuzzFeed.

Employee Resource Groups at BuzzFeed

BuzzFeed currently has 5 ERGs with chapters in several BuzzFeed office locations. Our ERGs work hard to create affinity communities, celebrate heritage months and generate awareness around important issues impacting BuzzFeeders.

Use Previous and Next buttons to navigate the carousel, or jump to a group of slides with the slide dots.

1 Application Stage

Head to our BuzzFeed jobs page to view open roles. Even if you don’t meet every requirement listed in a job description that doesn’t mean we don’t want to hear from you. If you think you’d be a good fit for the job anyway, use your application to show us why! If a role isn’t currently open, we encourage you to apply for future consideration.

2 Application Review

Our recruiting team will review your application to see if it’s a good match for the position. Regardless of the outcome, you will hear back following your application with an update on your application status.

3 Recruiter Screen

This is an opportunity for us to get to know you and for you to learn more about us. A recruiter will reach out to schedule time to discuss the role and your interest in BuzzFeed – and communicate detailed process expectations.
