Normally a reclusive group, cosplayers flocked in droves to the New York Comic Con. BuzzFeed editors braved the crowds to get some of the best candid shots of cosplayers in their natural habitat.
How could they leave out Slave Leia? Other than the bottom right, all of these tropes were present at NYCC this year.

I had the opportunity to check out this years NY Comic-Con and it was awesome. These were some of the funniest, weirdest, sexiest and coolest costumes from the event.
At Comic-Con, no one can hear you scream for help to save you from the press. Except your assistants. Luckily for Buzzfeed, these wonderful web comic artists were willing to bite the bullet for the One Question Interview.
Slave Leia is forever ruined thanks to Buzzfeed's very own Gavon! Wherever he went, Man Leia was a fan favorite. Hats off to him for having enough balls to wear a metal bikini.

Webcomic artist Joel Watson (Hijinks Ensue) introduced this tee to New York Comic-Con goers because he knows “you've been hurt by the relentless alterations, the consummate tweaking, and the seemingly infinite versions of your beloved Original Trilogy.” The inspiration for “George Hurt You” was based on this previous comic. It was madness. The comic legend was on hand to announce a new graphic novel to the press, but holding the conference on the show floor quickly spiraled into a circus.
