I don't fully understand how some people can defend their insistence on having more children while mourning the loss of this one. This kid didn't make it because they've beat her insides like a tornado smashing a barn. Their irresponsibility caused this.

pretty much none of you get it: we are making a fuss over this because the Duggar's are retarded. you've had too many kids. your most recent ones are premies, stillborns, and the frankly starting to look inbred. people aren't meant to have so many kids- when you do, the genetic material breaks down and causes all the above-listed problems. NOBODY WANTS YOUR EFFED UP CHILDREN, DUGGAR FAMILY! perhaps rude, but definitely the truth. Duggar's, you are doing all your kids a disservice.

As misguided and disturbing as their continual wanting of children is, its their choice to make.  I'm a progressive liberal lady and I support abortion and women's right to choose but that also means pro-choice is pro-CHOICE. If these people want to have babies, go ahead, have them. If they want to hold a service for losing a baby they WANTED, go right ahead. I'm not sure who I find more distasteful: the Duggars for being batshit insane, or TMZ for being so eternally trashy.  Holding a funeral for a miscarriage is utterly ridiculous. It's not even like this was a full-grown baby that was stillborn; you only need to look at the pictures to see that this was nowhere close to being a full person. It's the size of a Lego figurine and only has four fingers. Plus, the fact that they thought it was a good idea to pose with the fetus (why wasn't it taken away, isn't this a biohazard?) calls into question what little sanity these people may have.  On the other hand, let's (reluctantly) give these crazies a little respect. These are people who, in their misguided religious beliefs, wanted to honor the “deceased” in an obviously private ceremony. The pictures are trashy, but that's how they felt it would be best to remember Jubilee (which is a name suited only for animals and X-Men, incidentally). That having been said, it's totally inexcusable that TMZ published these pics all over the internet, and that's not even taking into account what they must have done to get the pics to begin with. Do these people have the same expectation of privacy as someone who's not on a reality show? Absolutely not. But there's a line of decency, and TMZ crosses it often to be sure, but this is a new low even for them.  /rant

There are photographers on call at many hospitals all across the country to assist parents in this situation. It's probably the only memory they will ever have that their child existed, the only photo they will have of that child.  The fact that the Duggars chose to make use of this shouldn't diminish its importance for the other families.  As for the Duggars, they are grieving the loss of a child. Let's cut them some slack.

I get what the Duggars are trying to convey: this was a child, not a fetus. However, it's a bit much.
