Wall-E gets the Bento treatment in this awesome Flickr set entitled “cute lunches made for me by my girlfriend.” In related news, no one ever makes me cute, geeky Bento boxes for lunch, and I'm beginning to think that's unacceptable.
A companion piece to WALL-E, this is a short film about another dutiful robot.
The teaser trailer for Pixar’s next feature film Up. Breaking with past precedent, Pixar opted not to screen this in conjunction with Wall-E. Whether it was a conscious or unconscious decision, I wouldn’t read into it too much - By all accounts, Pixar can do no wrong. Look for it in theaters Spring ‘09.
Culture Buzz Disney releases fully-loaded WALL-E remote control robot. The Ultimate WALL-E Remote-Control Robot is every child’s dream toy. With an insane number of features, and spot-on detailing, look for this one to be the big hit of X-Mas ‘08 - You heard it here first.
Check out the Wall-E Deluxe Child Costume. Damn, if only they made them in adult sizes…may just have to squeeze.
Movie Buzz Everyone’s saying that Wall-E may be Pixar’s greatest creation to date. Disney’s internal rating system has Wall-E doing 30% better than Ratatouille did. The movie revolves around the last remaining Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class (“Wall-E”) robot on Earth. Despite Wall-E’s script having fewer words-per-minute than any other film this year, critics are calling it “an instant classic.” Wall-E is brought to us Andrew Stanton, the genius behind Finding Nemo. The trailers (which are more like short films) already have me smitten with the the little meeping robot. Can’t wait to see the full-length feature!
