Movie Buzz Fan boy Dogan Can Gundogdu made this dark and visceral sequence — feels like I was watching the opening to Se7en. The real “Dark Knight Rises” doesn’t drop until July 20th.
Celebrity Buzz With The Dark Knight Rises set to release in July of this year, Christian Bale is back and looking pretty fine. But there's something about this method actor that is somewhat unsettling. Maybe it's the fact that he's willing to starve himself to the brink of hair loss, or all of those temper tantrums he has on the set of productions.
Culture Buzz This little guy might only stand at 1:6 scale, but he cranks up the baby doll creep factor to a whole new level. Now someone make a baby Batman so they can have an adorably bizarre mini-battle in a Gotham day care. (via nerdapproved.com)
Movie Buzz It didn't take long for this to happen, and it LOOKS LIKE it also didn't take long for this to happen. It's still perfect. Just saying.

Animator David A. Rose (Happy Dragon Pictures) gave an update to the opening credits from the 1966 Batman TV show. Now if only someone could mash up Hans Zimmer's TDK score with the old school series, that'd make my night weekend! Seriously — nice work, David.
The other candidates are just as crazy. You know it’s true.
Got 20 minutes? Chicago Sun-Times' movie critic Jim Emerson gives the Red Letter Media treatment to a piece of Christopher Nolan's “The Dark Knight,” specifically the chase scene after Harvey Dent turns himself in. No pizza rolls here. Just some serious film editing analysis. (via.)
Movie Buzz Didn't Christopher Nolan say he was obsessed with “Blade Runner?” Well he's not alone. Inspired by John Alvin's original artwork for “BR,” deviant artist Alexander Stojanov created these posters for Nolan's “Dark Knight” trilogy.
More on-location footage in Pittsburgh of “The Dark Knight Rises”: The Batwing was spotted chasing a HEMTT on a hydraulic rig. Kind of impossible to miss.
Hmph. Maybe he's not rebuilding decks in Missouri after all. (via.)
Movie Buzz Check out this clip from Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, recorded on location at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. It's a pretty climactic moment, and, even though you're just listening to Tom Hardy as Bane, it is a teensy bit spoiler-ish. It's also pretty interesting what Hardy does with Bane's voice and accent. (via.)
At least, that's what it looks like to me. Christian Bale, seen on the set of The Dark Knight Rises this weekend in Pittsburgh, PA, as was Tom Hardy in full costume as Bane.
Here's Tom Hardy as Bane, one of Batman's villains, released through the official website for The Dark Knight Rises. The viral campaign for Christopher Nolan's next Bat-movie has kicked off more than a year before its release. This is going to be an agonizingly long wait.
A mashup of “My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic” with the trailer for “The Dark Knight.” It gives me goosebumps. Hopefully those goosebumps are from a thyroid condition, because the alternative is too embarrassing to admit.
Culture Buzz Based on his old MySpace, Tom Hardy used to be kind of douchey? THE INTERNET NEVER FORGETS. I love how every time he tries to act like a gansgta, something in the background ruins the effect. (More pics here.)
Movie Buzz “The Dark Knight Rises” is the third installment of director Christopher Nolan's Batfilms, following “Batman Begins” and “The Dark Knight.” Christian Bale reprises his role as the Caped Crusader, thirsting for justice and a lozenge. Follow this page for all the latest casting news, villain updates and wild speculation on 2012's biggest blockbuster!
Movie Buzz Christopher Nolan, the cagey auteur behind “Batman Begins” and “The Dark Knight,” let slip a few precious scraps of information on the next Batman film. First, the title will be The Dark Knight Rises. Second, the villain will not, repeat not, be The Riddler. Also, Nolan will be eschewing 3D and continue down the path of filming in IMAX that he began with “The Dark Knight.” Even though this is terribly trivial information, as a huge Batman fan, I need to change my bat-briefs.
