John Stamos stars as Marvyn, a temperamental basketball coach who, after being fired from a high profile job, has to settle for coaching the team at an all girls high school. The show also stars the always funny Yvette Nicole Brown as the school's principal, so it should be a good time.
The Mandalorian was Disney+'s most anticipated original title back when it launched in 2019, and for good reason. It's the first live-action show set in the Star Wars universe, which has been significantly expanded (and looks amazing). The show gives us two gifts: Pedro Pascal's amazing performance as the titular character, and Baby Yoda AKA The Child, who is the cutest creature you'll ever see on screen.

Everyone Has A Character From "The Mandalorian" That Matches Their Personality — Here's Yours
This docu-series about the making of The Mandalorian might seem like something you could skip, but honestly, don't. The series comprehensively breaks down every aspect of the show's production, from locations to visual effects to picking the directors who worked on each episode (including Bryce Dallas Howard!). Wanna know the secret to making Baby Yoda AKA The Child look so real? Look no further. Series creator Jon Favreau walks you through every step, and it's clear how much he loves the material.
This docuseries about life in the School of American Ballet is intense. The dancers, who all hope to get into New York City Ballet, work extremely hard and push their minds and bodies to the absolute limit, and then they push some more. You'll walk away from this one learning at least one thing: Ballet is the hardest sport in the world.
This reality show reunites groups of former theater kids and asks them to stage an encore performance of the musicals they performed in high school (with the help of professional directors, choreographers, and vocal coaches, of course). If that sounds like a brilliant concept for a reality show, you are right. Watching adults act like teens on TV is always funny, but it's also pretty moving to hear the former thespians reflect on their glory days as adults.

17 Hilarious Tweets That Prove People Need To Stop Sleeping On Disney+'s "Encore!"
"If you're looking for an injection of hope in this mad, uncertain time we live in, this here is the only series you need. Each episode follows a different extraordinary child, who is overcoming overwhelming obstacles and making differences to their community along the way. I got chills watching this."
"Grab a tissue and watch the love stories of multiple couples unfold before your eyes. The first season of this show originally aired on Freeform, but Disney+ has since created a second season for the streaming platform. From an over-the-top proposal at the Aulani resort to a wedding in front of Cinderella Castle, this show might just make you start planning your own imaginary Disney wedding."
Jeff Goldblum can make pretty much anything more interesting, so it's hard to think of a better documentary host. Each episode has a topic — like ice cream, sneakers, or pools — and explains everything you need to know about with the help of science and history experts, all interviewed by Jeff. It's fun, educational, and a great way to spend a half hour.
"Love dogs and overall wholesome content? Give Pick of the Litter a chance. I watched the entire series as each episode was coming out and haaaated having to wait a whole week for an update on these incredible puppies and their owners. This show will take you on a dog's journey from their puppy days to when they become fully employed guide dogs. You'll learn so much about puppy raisers, trainers, and the entire process of becoming a guide dog. It's really interesting and filled with adorableness we can all appreciate."
If you call yourself a Star Wars fan, you need to watch Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It takes place between Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith from the prequel trilogy, and rectifies some of the more, um, unpopular choices that those movies made. It really fleshes out the characters of Anakin and Obi-Wan while introducing Ahsoka Tano, who is a total badass. All seven seasons are on Disney+.
"I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that Disney's The Imagineering Story is my favorite thing on their entire streaming platform. It's just so...magical. The series begins with the development of Disneyland and goes all the way up to the latest additions to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. I even cried during some of the episodes because it's so incredible to see what all the things these hard workers have achieved. If you really love Disney, you're gonna want to watch."
Ned is an alien whose dad sent him to conquer Earth, but Ned just can't help himself and becomes fascinated with the planet and decides to start a talkshow from his spaceship. Think The Muppets, but instead of Kermit the Frog, you get Ned the Alien. The show has real celebrity guests like Raven-Symoné, RuPaul, and Brenda Song. The silly but clever writing and incredible work from the puppeteers and voice cast (and guests!) make this one worth checking out. I mean, where else would you ever find something like it?
Oh, Agent Carter, you left us far too soon. This isn't technically a Disney+ original since it aired on ABC from 2015 to 2016, but it fights right in with the rest of the Marvel series coming to the platform. The show follows the work of Peggy Carter as a spy in the 1940s, after the events of Captain America: The First Avenger. After playing a supporting role in the MCU films, it's great to see Peggy (and Hayley Atwell) step into the spotlight as the confident, skilled, and bold woman that she is. It doesn't hurt that we routinely get to see her shut down the men who foolishly doubt her.

Disney+ is a great place to fine some really interesting behind-the-scenes details about your favorite movies at shows. If you were ever wondering what went into making one of Disney's animated classics, you can finally get some answers. Into the Unknown: Making Frozen II is a six-episode docu-series that follows the voice cast and crew of Frozen II during the film's last year of production (yes, these animated movies take a looong time to make). The most interesting part by far is seeing how the iconic songs all came together and how much they changed over the production process.
This Disney + original series is not too different from the original Muppet Show format, this one just has a modern setting. There's a bunch of different segments and sketches, and your favorite Muppets interact with celebrity guest stars like RuPaul, Aubrey Plaza, Linda Cardellini, Seth Rogen, and many more.

This documentary series will reveal how some of the most recent Marvel hits were made. The first episode covers the making of Wandavision, and it's so cool to see how everything came together. There will also be episodes for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Hawkeye, and also for Black Widow. Fair warning: you will have a strong reaction to seeing Paul Bettany on set as Vision without the CGI that completes his look.
Legends is made up of clips and behind-the-scenes footage from old MCU films, and it's meant to refresh your memory regarding each character's storyline. For example, right before the release of WandaVision, Wanda and Vision each got their own episode. Now there are episodes for Bucky, Sam, Sharon Carter, and Zemo, ahead of the premiere of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. It's a great way to make sure you're up to speed before starting to watch the new shows!
Disney+ is home to a lot of cool National Geographic titles, and Meet the Chimps is a great place to start watching. It follows the goings on at Chimp Haven, a 200-acre sanctuary in Louisiana that is home to 300 chimps.
"This six-part nation Geographic series tracks the ups and downs of the extraordinary group of chimps, who have been given a second chance at life by a staff whose dedication, compassion, and commitment knows no bounds. Through a seamless blend of natural history and observational-documentary filmmaking, the chimps — the heart and soul of the series — are front and center."
And it's narrated by Jane Lynch!
Perhaps the most iconic of Disney icons, Mickey Mouse is back with a brand new show! Each episode is nine minutes and features this cute little guy getting into all sorts of hijinks with his friends. The format is somewhat similar to the Mickey cartoons of yesteryear, but the new animation style is an appropriate 2020 update.
Another behind-the-scenes documentary series, but this one is about Pixar! The studio that gave us masterpieces like Up, Inside Out, and the Toy Story series is held up by the work of a lot of artists, and each episode highlights one of them. Their stories are personal and moving, but you'll also get to see the technical aspects that make up some of your favorite movies.
Shop Class is one of the latest original shows to pop up on Disney+. If you've finished watching every season of The Great British Baking Show and are craving another competition show, you'll definitely get a kick out of this one! The show features a group of kids who are tasked with designing and testing unique creations. Give it a shot — we all have plenty of time!
This anthology series doesn't add new stories or characters to the Star Wars canon, but it does show the existing material in a brand new light. Some incredibly talented anime creators are putting their own spin on some of the lesser known stories in the lore.
The popular sitcom from the '90s — which starred Neil Patrick Harris as a teenage medical prodigy — just got a 2021 reboot. This one stars Peyton Elizabeth Lee as Lahela "Doogie" Kamealoha and isn't a direct continuation of Doogie Howser, M.D.; instead, the characters acknowledge the television show and give Lahela the nickname "Doogie" because she is also a teenage doctor. This is one you and your parents will like equally
Josh Peck is getting back in touch with his sitcom roots as Scott Turner, Jr., who is introduced as — can you believe it? — THE SON of Tom Hanks's character from the original movie. They very quickly explain that the older Mr. Turner is dead, so don't expect a Tom Hanks cameo. This show is the third entry in the Turner and Hooch Cinematic Universe, and the basic plot remains the same: straight-laced policeman has to look after and partner with an unruly, giant dog. Sounds like the perfect recipe for hijinks!
The Owl House is, in a word, delightful. Here's the gist: Luz Noceda (Disney's first bisexual lead character!) accidentally falls into a portal to a magical land called the Boiling Isles, where she quickly makes friends with her new mentor Eda (a witch) and King (a tiny demon). Luz becomes enthralled with her new friends and surroundings, but she also misses her family feels torn between both worlds. It's a show you can enjoy at any age.
Lizzie! Freaking! McGuire! This show defined the 2000s, and for good reason. Lizzie's trials and tribulations as a middle schooler were instantly relatable, and she was the best kind of protagonist: someone who, despite making some mistakes, was just doing her damn best. Even though the reboot seems to be on pause forever, it's a privilege to relive the show's glory days.

In my humble opinion, That's So Raven is the absolute peak of Disney sitcoms, and it's just as funny now as it was when it originally aired. Raven-Symoné is a comedy star, and we simply don't talk about that enough. She and Anneliese van der Pol embodied Raven Baxter and Chelsea Daniels, who were basically a modern-day Lucy and Ethel (the rest of the cast was amazing as well). The Halloween episode where Raven and Chelsea turn into cows is a thing of beauty.

Ducktales has perhaps the catchiest TV theme song ever written. Lucky for us, there are two versions for us to enjoy, since both the original 1987 cartoon and 2017 reboot are available on Disney+. If you're in the mood for simpler plotlines and strictly nostalgic viewing, stick to the original. If you want witty millennial dialogue and David Tennant's take on Scrooge McDuck, try out the reboot.

Gargoyles is what would happen if Game of Thrones married Law and Order and Outlander. This Shakespearean-level epic cartoon didn't get too much attention when it originally aired in the 90s, but it's high time we appreciate it now.

In case you were wondering, she can still do anything. Along with Ron Stoppable and tech gadgets provided by Wade, Kim Possible was basically Black Widow in an American high school. In this age of superhero films, it's nice to remember the time Kim spent on our screens, letting us know that teenage girls were perfectly capable action heroes.

There's something really satisfying about a teen TV show that actually depicts the passage of time in a normal way instead of keeping its characters in the same grade forever. Cory, Shawn, and Topanga go from middle school to high school to college, and the show gets increasingly more mature as they do. It also doesn't hurt that it's genuinely so funny.

The show that sky-rocketed Miley Cyrus to superstar status and made us all daydream about having a pop star alter ego. Ah, memories. This show remains one of Disney's best offerings for a number of reasons, chief among them that it's a time capsule of 2000s fashion. Plus, the songs are bops: "Nobody's Perfect" remains a game-changer.
The show that made The Muppets cultural icons is finally available to stream, and it's about time! If you grew up with the Muppets, you can relive your youth with all 120 episodes. If you only have a passing knowledge of the Muppets, allow Kermit and Miss Piggy (a queen) to guide you through the hijinks for the very first time.
More on The Muppet Show:
This show only had one season on ABC, and it's not the first thing people think of when they imagine the Muppets, but it's a delight. The Muppets star in their very own mockumentary sitcom in the style of The Office and Parks and Recreation, as they work together behind the scenes of Miss Piggy's late night talk show, Up Late with Miss Piggy (honestly, the perfect job for her). Characters we know and love in a totally new setting? What's not to love?
Alex Russo was the first Disney Channel teen who really understood the power of sarcasm, and she should get more credit for that. This was really her show, and everybody else was there for the ride (even though the rest of the cast was great too). Selena Gomez's ability to deliver a zinger remains unmatched in those who came before and after her.
Once Upon a Time combines all of your favorite Disney and fairytale characters in one live-action fictional world. It starts off with the classics like Snow White and Belle, but before long you've got more modern characters like Elsa and Anna from Frozen and Tiana from The Princess and the Frog. A lot of characters are based on their animated counterparts while others are given completely new looks/personalities, but the show makes it clear that it's an independent creation that doesn't tie into Disney canon. It really shouldn't work, but somehow it does!
The songs are more than enough to watch (or rewatch) Phineas and Ferb — "Busted," "Gitchee Gitchee Goo," and "Perry the Platypus," all bangers — but it's also just a delight on its own. You have Phineas and Ferb getting up to their hijinks, Perry (the platypus) being an actual spy with a nemesis, and Candace providing some teen drama.

Zendaya produced and starred in her second Disney Channel show, which is about a teen spy who has to balance high school with saving the world. As usual, her star quality and charisma are on full display, and it's pretty nostalgic to see her in her pre-Euphoria days.
It's one of the greatest sitcoms to come out of Disney Channel for a reason, you guys. It was funny and had a great cast, obviously, but the best part of Suite Life was that it allowed us to vicariously live out our dreams of living in a five-star hotel. And yes, The Suite Life on Deck is there too.

Andi Mack is one of Disney Channel's newer sitcoms — as in, if you're the right age to have seen Boy Meets World you probably missed it. But both shows have a lot in common in the sense that they show teenage characters (played by actual teenagers) dealing with a lot of tough situations. Andi Mack is also responsible to Disney Channel's first gay main character, Andi's best friend Cyrus.
This show is a continuation of the story from Tangled, and Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi return to voice their original characters. After returning to her kingdom (ironically named Corona) at the end of the movie, Rapunzel and Eugene need to adjust to their new lives as royalty — remember, she was captive in a tower for 18 years and he was a fugitive. The voice cast also includes Julia Bowen (Modern Family) and Broadway stars Eden Espinosa, Jeremy Jordan, and James Monroe Iglehart.

Jeremy Renner is coming back as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, and this time he's got a protégé! Hailee Steinfeld is joining the MCU as Kate Bishop, who eventually goes by Hawkeye in the comics. The show will follow Kate's training and explore the time that Clint went by the moniker Ronin.
We don't know a whole lot about Secret Invasion yet, other than it will star the great Samuel L. Jackson as the big boss himself, Nick Fury. He's been a crucial presence in the MCU for a loooong time, and it will be great to see him take center stage. He'll be joined by Ben Mendelsohn's Talos, who was introduced in Captain Marvel. Last time we saw them both was in Spider Man: Far from Home. Secret Invasion is the name of a storyline in the comics, so check it out if you want to get a sense of what the show's plot might be.

We don't know too much about Moon Knight other than some basic information about the titular character, who will be played by Oscar Isaac. Here's the gist: Marc Spector, former Marine turned CIA agent turned mercenary, almost dies after he is betrayed on a job in Egypt. He's saved by the Egyptian god Khonshu in exchange for becoming his avatar on Earth, which in turn gives him superpowers. The only other thing we know is that Ramy star May Calamawy has recently joined the cast, as well as indie king Ethan Hawke, who will be playing the villain.
More on Moon Knight:
Don Cheadle will return to play Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes in this series, which will see Rhodey confront one of Tony Stark's greatest fears when Stark Industry technology falls into the wrong hands. Rhodey has been criminally underused in the MCU movies, so it's about time he gets his own show.
Dominique Thorne will star as young engineer Riri Williams, and that's basically all we know. However, in case you didn't figure it out by that title, there's a pretty strong connection to Tony Stark and Iron Man, which should keep things interesting.
She-Hulk revolves around Bruce Banner's cousin, played by Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany, who gains superpowers after receiving a blood transfusion from him. Mark Ruffalo will return as Bruce, and Tim Roth will reprise his role as Emil Blonsky aka Abomination from 2008's The Incredible Hulk.
After making her live-action debut at the end of Season 2 of The Mandalorian, Ahsoka Tano (as played by Rosario Dawson) will be the main character of her own show. Ewan McGregor will be back to play Obi-Wan in a series that takes place 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith, and he'll be joined by Hayden Christensen, aka Anakin from the prequels, as Darth Vader. Given how things ended between the two of them in Episode III, it's gonna be pretty amazing to see them together again.
The Proud Family is coming back! A blessing for us all. This reboot will reunite all of the original voice cast behind the Prouds, as well as Penny's besties Dijonay, Zoey, and LaCienega. Joining them will also be Keke Palmer playing a new character called Maya Leibowitz-Jenkins, who will initially have some issues with Penny (Kyla Pratt). This is one reboot that can't come soon enough.
Kristin Chenoweth will play Carol Dannhauser, a Wisconsin mom and waitress whose proudest achievement is being the star of her local community theater. Her stardom is immediately threatened when a struggling New York chorus girl moves back home, and competitive hijinks ensues. This seems like a role Kristin Chenoweth was born to play, and I can only hope she sings in every single episode.
Insecure's Yvonne Orji will write and executive produce this half-hour comedy, based on her own experiences growing up as a Nigerian immigrant in America, struggling to honor her culture while assimilating to a new country. She's terrific on Insecure, but Yvonne's standup special Momma I Made It will show just how funny she is and give you high hopes for this show.
