15 Celebs Who Have Already Been Problematic In 2021

Featuring a lot of your faves.

Well, it's only a month into 2021, and the celebs are celebbing — AKA, some of them are being problematic and abiding by a different set of rules.

Here are some of the things they've gotten backlash for in 2021 so far:

    1. To begin the year, Blake Shelton faced criticism for his song "Minimum Wage," which people thought was insensitive:

blake shelton in a cowboy hat you’re welcome 😍😍

The chorus is, "Girl, your love can make a man feel rich on minimum wage." Not exactly on-brand for 2020–2021 America.

    2. Demi Lovato faced backlash for her Demi-centered tweets during the Capitol riot:

THIS IS WHY I POST AS MUCH AS I DO. THIS IS WHY I CARE. THIS CANNOT HAPPEN ANY FUCKING MORE. I’m angry, embarrassed and ashamed. I’m in the studio working on something special after today’s assault on democracy. #impeachtrumptonight

    3. Lana Del Rey had this weird explanation about her album cover when no one asked:

    4. Dixie D'Amelio faced backlash for her privileged, out-of-touch comments about not going to college:

    5. Michael Che made this transphobic joke:

This isn’t funny and so many people had to let this joke get to air y’all are dumb

    NBC / Twitter / Via Twitter: @rosedommu

He said, "President Biden signed an executive order repealing Trump's ban on transgender people serving in the military. It's good news, except Biden is calling the policy, 'Don't ask, don't tuck.'"

    6. Armie Hammer's alleged DMs of him talking about cannibalism and other dark stuff leaked, leading him to drop out of multiple upcoming projects:

    7. And then people called out Bella Thorne for randomly defending him:

    8. Kylie Jenner threw Stormi a lavish birthday party, ignoring several COVID-19 restrictions:

    11. And Charli and Dixie D'Amelio, Noah Beck, Chase Hudson, and Madi Monroe went to the Bahamas during a pandemic:

    12. Tyra Banks was called out by former America's Next Top Model contestant Lisa D'Amato, who said that Tyra exploited her childhood trauma:

    13. Piers Morgan faced backlash for this weird, rude tribute to Larry King, who died last month:

Larry King was a hero of mine until we fell out after I replaced him at CNN & he said my show was ‘like watching your mother-in-law go over a cliff in your new Bentley.’ (He married 8 times so a mother-in-law expert) But he was a brilliant broadcaster & masterful TV interviewer.

    14. Ted Cruz made an ableist remark in a series of back-and-forth tweets with Seth Rogen:

They’re all dead. So I think we’re good. And Walt Disney was a Republican. Even though you behave online like a Marxist with Tourette’s (screaming “F U! F U!” is really, really clever), your movies are typically pretty funny. I’m sure you hate that I enjoy them. https://t.co/ImVm26QWb8

    15. And lastly, Bow Wow threw a huge party in a club, UGH:
