I’m thinking after a few years of high-energy dance pop, it’s fun to have some summer tunes that are a bit more mellow, a la “Get Lucky”, “#Beautiful”, and “Blurred Lines”—all perfect for nighttime summer cruisin’. Also, just to clarify, I think you meant to write 1999 instead of 2001 in the first paragraph! :)
