    1. A spray hand and surface sanitizer aptly named "Germaphobe" that has a refreshing black tea scent and actually leaves hands feeling moisturized instead of woefully dry and sticky β€” like some other sanitizers I know!

A hand holding a spray bottle of Every Humans Germaphobe hand sanitizer
    Every Humans

Germaphobe has none of the nasty chemicals found in a lot of traditional sanitizers but it's just as effective, killing 99.9% of germs and exceeding CDC sanitizer guidelines.

"A lot can be said about 2020, but one positive thing is that I've found a new favorite hand sanitizer. This beaut from Everyday Humans is small enough to fit in my purse, leaves my hands feeling sanitized *and* moisturized, and has a nice black tea smell that has me sniffing my hand throughout the day (totally normal!). It's fully converted me to spray hand sanitizer. No more gloopy liquid for me. Quite frankly, I should just go ahead and buy a case." β€”Elizabeth Lilly

Get it from Everyday Humans for $8.50.

    2. A pack of Sticky Stakes to trap all the fruit flies, fungus gnats, and other bugs attacking your houseplants β€” and your sanity.

"There is NOTHING more irritating than gnats or any other tiny insects invading your home. I have these Sticky Stakes in every potted plant I own and they actually really work! Each pack comes with seven traps, so feel free to stock up" β€”Heather Braga

Get a pack of seven from Amazon for $5.09.

    3. A tube of IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer that really delivers on its name. Bags, begone!

A before image showing a BuzzFeed writer with darker circles and fine lines, and an after image of them holding the concealer tube and showing that the dark circles and fine lines are gone
    Elena Garcia / BuzzFeed

The concealer is cruelty-free and vegan with no parabens, sulfates, or phthalates!

"I've used a bunch of different under-eye concealers (all cruelty-free, of course) to hide the disaster that lives under my big blue eyes, but none have worked nearly as amazing as It Cosmetics' Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer. It gives me perfectly matte, full coverage without clumping up into the wrinkles of my eyes. It's supposedly waterproof too, but since discovering this concealer, I never cry anymore, so I can't say I've ever tested it out." β€”Elena Garcia

Get it from Sephora for $27 (available in 24 shades).

Check out Elena's in-depth It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer review for more deets!

    4. A spotted headband because why do your hair when you can distract with a poppin' hair piece? And support global artisans in the process!

    Noonday Collection

Noonday Collection is a Certified B Corporation and a Fair Trade Federation member, partnering with local artisans to support their craft and create meaningful employment for those who need it most!

"Headbands are my jam because I rarely have time (or want) to comb my hair but it’s also hard to find some that will stay on my large head (serious noggin here). I was sent this super cute headband and not only did it fit my head, it didn’t slide the entire day. #winning" β€”Kit Stone

Get it from Noonday Collection for $22.

    5. A pack of SpaceSaver vacuum storage bags that'll give you back SO much storage space. Fill up a bag with clothes, towels, or other linens, suck out the air, and watch the pile shrink down to a fraction of its original size!

    Maitland Quitmeyer / BuzzFeed

Each pack includes a travel hand pump to pull the air out, but you can also use your vacuum!

"The plastic is thick, the bags rarely re-inflate, and I feel confident that everything is safe and secure when stored inside. When you take things out, just give anything a quick steam if super wrinkled and it's ready to wear! Take it from this Virgo, my closet game is forever changed!!! Seasonal closet transitions = a breeze with these." β€”Maitland Quitmeyer

Need more convincing? Check out Maitland's full Spacesaver vacuum storage bags review!

Get a six-pack from Amazon for $25.99+ (available in three sizes and as a variety pack).

    6. A pair of investment-worthy SPANX faux leather leggings that you can style a million different ways, which will hopefully distract anyone from noticing when you end up wearing them days in a row. They just look good with everything!

a model in the faux leather leggings
    @spanx / Via

"I finally did it β€” after eyeing these babies for months I caved and splurged on the Spanx faux leather leggings. I have seen COUNTLESS Instagram influencers boast about how wonderful and versatile they are, but I honestly didn't believe them until I tried them for myself. They are very stretchy, not too tight and overall have a nice texture to them. I'll definitely be pairing them with oversized sweaters all winter but can also see myself wearing them with T-shirts and denim jackets when the weather warms up again. I'm only about 5'1" so I ordered my pair directly from the Spanx site, as they have the option to get petite sizing. They're the appropriate amount of *snug* on top and the length is great. My only complaints would be, as with most high-waisted leggings, they tend to fold over a touch when I sit down and they don't photograph super leathery. But, hey, we can't have it all. I look forward to wearing these time and time again and feel good about investing in a pricier pair. Just don't tell my husband what they cost, OK?" β€”Heather Braga

Get them from Nordstrom or Spanx for $98 (available in sizes XS–XL petite, XS–XL straight, and 1X–3X plus and three inseam lengths).

    7. A BoxFox gift package you can customize with goodies of all kinds to show someone you're there for them, even if you're not there. More personal than traditional gift baskets, and lasts a heck of a lot longer than flowers.

A hand holding a card that reads "you're a fox" next to two gift boxes filled with skincare, books, candles and more
    @shopboxfox / Via

BoxFox also has a marketplace of pre-built boxes for even easier gift giving!

"First you choose your box color, then you fill it with items like fancy pens, colorful chocolate, beauty supplies, and books. Finally, you fill out a card, and bam! You're done.

I gifted this box to a friend earlier this year when she completed grad school β€” she loved it! Unlike many other personalized boxes, this one comes with a wide array of products to choose from when filling the box. My friend is usually hard to shop for, but with the product selection, I was able to find several things that she would love equally." β€”Jasmin Suknanan

Get it from BoxFox for $7+ everything you add to the box.

    8. A water tumbler that turns hydration into a high-stakes game! And by high-stakes I mean it comes with colorful bands to track each time you finish the bottle. It's a fun way to celebrate those small wins throughout the day!

    Samantha Wieder / BuzzFeed, Amazon

This 20-ounce bottle is made of durable BPA-free plastic and is top-rack dishwasher safe. But don't stick it in the microwave!

"I own this wonderful water bottle, and I swear it's the only reason I'm good at keeping up with my water intake now. It comes with eight colorful rubber bands, and each time I finish the bottle, I take a rubber band off and wear it on my wrist. It's actually so rewarding getting to take a band off, and even more rewarding once you take the last band off. I've tried setting alarms on my phone, buying bigger water bottles, using the Plant Nanny app β€” this is the only thing that has worked for me." β€”Samantha Wieder

Get it from Amazon for $17.99.

    9. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid β€” a good book to pass the time that you're likely going to wanna re-read as soon as you're done!

The book cover showing someone in a green dress
    Washington Square Press

"I don't want to give away anything from this book, because I had zero idea what to expect upon starting it. All I knew was that my friends LOVED it and had been recommending I read it for a while. It's very rare that I make it through a book as quickly as I made it through this one. I literally finished it within 48 hours and now I'm just wondering when is an acceptable time to re-read it again. I HIGHLY recommend it!" β€”Samantha Wieder

Get it from Amazon for $14.67, Bookshop for $15.64 (to support local bookstores), Target for $22.49, or check your local library.

    10. A lush fern kokedama that's been naturally preserved. What does that mean, exactly? No watering! Just hang it and enjoy your new greenery!

Thee hanging leafy green kokedama fern plants
    The Sill

You never need to water this preserved moss ball! Just keep it out of direct sunlight. It's that easy. Upon arrival, it may have a bit of an odor, but that will dissipate within the first couple weeks!

"I bought this months ago because I really wanted plants in my home and REALLY wanted to not kill them. This gave me a chance to beef up the plants I have without adding in more work. I dust it every so often but other than that, it's a no-effort piece of decor that looks *stunning* 24/7. I can't rave about it enough! And no fear for your furry pets! Even if you leave this where they can reach it, it's pet-safe!" β€”Mallory Mower

Get it from The Sill for $75.

    11. A wall-mounted workstation you can completely customize with modular shelves, power blocks, dry erase boards, and more! It'll change your WFH game, and doesn't take up a ton of floor space for all you tiny apartment dwellers.

Nine O, Mallory Mower / BuzzFeed

"This desk has upgraded my work from home life so drastically I can hardly remember life without it (pretty sure I've blacked out those work-from-bed days). I got the filing shelf to hold all my favorite spooky books, the dry erase panel for taking quick notes, and a headphone hook. It doesn't take up floor space (a need in my tiny apartment) and it even has a charging dock available with extra outlets for USB cords and standard plugs, so you don't have to hunt around your house for extra outlet space. The adjustable shelves are simple to set up and super satisfying. Plus it's pretty...dang pretty." β€”Mallory Mower

Get it from Dash for $275+ (available in four kits with additional add-ons).

    12. A holographic peel-off mask that's a hydrating party for your pores, with powerful ingredients like rose water, hyaluronic acid, and glycerin. Expect bright, glowy skin β€” plus the joy of that satisfying peeling!

This formula is clean, cruelty-free, and gluten-free!

"I originally purchased this mask because my face felt very rough and my skin looked dull, so I wanted something to pump the moisture back into it and make it smooth to the touch. I came across this mask and decided to buy it since it was more affordable compared to other high-quality masks, had great reviews, and it was a peel-off mask β€” honestly, I didn't feel like spending 10 minutes to thoroughly wash off anything. I wasn't disappointed! After just one use, my skin looked brighter, felt softer, and definitely felt hydrated. And, peeling off the mask was so fun! A little goes a long way, though, so you only need to apply a thin layer." β€”Jasmin Suknanan

    Get it from Amazon $12.70.

    13. A digital picture frame to connect to Wi-Fi so you can show off all your photos without printing them and overwhelming your walls. It's also great for sharing pictures with long-distance family and friends. You can send them from your phone straight to the frame!

The frame with a white and black frame around the digital screen with a picture of the reviewer and their father at a tennis match
    Abby Kass / BuzzFeed

There's no risk with this purchase! If you don't love your frame, Skylight will offer you a full refund.

"I actually got this frame for my dad a few years ago for Christmas. He LOVES taking pictures (like used to keep albums and albums before photos were digital), so I thought this would be great for him. It was super easy to set up and connects to Wi-Fi. It then comes with an email address where you can send the photos you want it to rotate through. My parents keep it running all the time. It's a nice way to actually see all the photos you have without them taking up all the walls in your home." β€”Abby Kass

Get it from Skylight for $159.

    14. A microfiber towel that'll protect sensitive strands from breakage and unwanted frizz β€” unlike regular terry bath towels.

    Crown Affair

"When I bleached my hair, I switched from drying it with a bath towel to drying it with a T-shirt because I read that my rough bath towel was too harsh on my already stressed strands. The one downside to my new method is that I was stretching out the necklines of my shirts :'( Enter this talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show-stopping, spectacular towel. It's incredibly soft and dries my hair super quickly, which is great because I hate wet hair but would prefer to avoid drying it with heat." β€”Melanie Aman

Get it from Crown Affair for $45 (available in a gift box for an additional $4).

    15. A universal gloss you can wear on your cheekbones, eyelids, lips β€” anywhere you wanna *glow.*

Fluide is a Brookly-based beauty brand creating clean beauty products for all skin types and gender identities! All of their formulas are vegan and cruelty-free with no parabens or phthalates!

"I love this product for when I want a makeup look that's extra and subtle at the same time. It goes on clear, but the gloss really pops, especially on the eyelids. I'm not a huge eyeshadow person, but it turns out I *am* a huge eye gloss person β€” who knew?" β€”Rachel Dunkel

Get it from Fluide for $15.

    16. A pair of super high-quality pocket lounge shorts because loungewear is life-wear right now and you deserve the best.

Nicer Laundry, Griffin Gonzales / BuzzFeed

Nice Laundry has a "Game-changer Guarantee." If you don't love your first pair, they'll refund you!

"I own several pairs of these shorts and they are hands-down the most comfortable lounge shorts of all time. They somehow have the breathability of nylon basketball shorts, but also have a just-warm-enough fleece-like lining that sets them apart from other athletic shorts. I am unashamed in admitting that I live in mine. You can also have them personalized with a letter or symbol of your choice (and believe me, you'll need to do this because everyone in your household is going to end up purchasing multiple pairs and you'll need to be able to differentiate who's whose)." β€”Griffin Gonzales

Get it from Nice Laundry for $42 (available in sizes S–XL).

    17. A compact makeup organizer that holds A TON of stuff in a countertop-friendly size. Sound too good to be true? Perhaps you should consult the other 12,600+ reviewers who swear by it!

BuzzFeed Editor AnaMaria Glavan's makeup organizer on a bathroom countertop neatly holding various makeup products
    AnaMaria Glavan / BuzzFeed

The bottom drawers and the top part actually come apart, so you can customize your storage layout.

"This nifty little organizer looks beautiful, can fit ALL of my everyday makeup, and (drumroll please) it keeps clutter at bay in my bathroom β€” which is extremely tiny, BTW.

I can fit so πŸ‘ damn πŸ‘ much πŸ‘ inside of this four-drawered thing. Here are all the products that I currently have in there: 32 lipsticks, six blushes and bronzers, two large highlighter sticks, one foundation bottle, three concealers, two contouring sticks, two rollerball perfumes, two primers, and the bottom drawer contains so many lip pencils, eyeliners, and eyeshadow sticks that I actually didn't even bother counting (but I'm going to guess AT LEAST 30 of them, I swear).* If you have A TON OF MAKEUP (which I do), then you may still have to store some extra stuff in your bags β€” but either way, this container holds SO much.

But the real winner, winner chicken dinner here? I have easy access to all the makeup I use every single day and can see all of it at once. I don't have to dig around the bottomless pit that is one of my many, many makeup bags anymore β€” I just have to open and close a drawer." β€”AnaMaria Glavan

Get it from Amazon for $14.24+ (available in five colors).

    18. A vitamin C serum from a Black-owned brand creating top-quality products to nurture melanin-rich skin. Expect smoother, brighter skin with this antioxidant-packed formula!

All of Buttah's products are clinically tested, cruelty-free, and organic!

"I wasn't expecting this serum to be so moisturizing but it covered my skin in all-day hydration (and even made me look a little dewy in the process). My face was very thankful since I was starting to develop dry patches from too-harsh cleansers (rude). Buttah is a Black-owned skincare biz and between you and me, I've got my eyes on their whipped body butter. πŸ‘€" β€”Jasmin Suknanan

Promising review: "I love this vitamin C serum. It’s not thick like other serums are and it doesn’t smell like vitamins. It absorbs right into my skin and pairs well with the cream moisturizer. My acne has cleared up incredibly. I had a small patch of eczema that popped up on my face and with Buttah skincare it has cleared up." β€”Kayla T.

Get it from Buttah for $39.

    19. Some loose leaf tea from Brooklyn Tea to make cold days a little cozier, specifically their Vanilla Rooibos and Darjeeling blends. Get acquainted with the screeching whistle of your tea kettle. You're about to be using it a lot more.

A BuzzFeed writer's two bags of loose leaf tea on a wooden tray with a mug and small saucer of looseleaf Darjeeling
    Rachel Dunkel / BuzzFeed

Brooklyn Tea sources organic and fair trade teas wherever possible, provides free tea education to the community, and provides compost to a community garden in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. That's all on top of serving just straight-up delicious tea!

"Brooklyn Tea is Black-owned and based in β€” you guessed it! β€” Brooklyn, New York. I love their tea because it's very high quality *and* they give you super precise brewing instructions on the back of the packaging. So helpful!" β€”Rachel Dunkel

Get them from Brooklyn Tea: the Vanilla Rooibos for $5.99+ (available in six sizes) and the Darjeeling for $6.99+ (available in six sizes).

    20. A pack of luxurious large silk scrunchies that captures all the benefits of a silk pillowcase in a daytime-ready hair tie, leaving your hair hydrated and frizz-free!

"You've heard of silk pillowcases and the wonders they work on hair (less friction, baby!), but have you considered silk SCRUNCHIES? These luxurious hair ties are A Bit Much, but honestly worth the splurge. They're super soft and don't pull on my delicate strands when I remove them. They also just look a lot more polished than my usual tie-dye and leopard print ones." β€”Bek O'Connell

    Get a three-pack from Brooklinen for $32.

    21. A shoe storage rack to cut out the daily 10-minute hunt through your shoe pile to find that perfect matching pair. Now you can spend that getting-ready time doing something sitting on your bed in a towel scrolling through Instagram.

    Samantha Wieder / BuzzFeed, Amazon

It stores 12–20 pairs of shoes (depending on the size of the shoes), and each shelf can hold up to 30 pounds.

"One of my quarantine projects was giving my room a bit of a makeover since it now doubles as my home office. I had a LOT of clutter in my room, and to make it a more enjoyable space to spend time in, I basically pulled a Marie Kondo, got rid of a ton of things I don't need or use anymore, and then bought some handy organization products to keep my belongings neat and tidy β€” and this shoe rack is one of my favorite things I purchased.

Prior to buying this, trying to find a pair of shoes to wear was a...chore. I always tried to keep the bottom of my closet clean and neat, but as someone who would try on approximately 20 outfits a day before deciding what to wear, and saw my closet as a space to just store everything, my shoes were constantly being buried underneath all of my belongings. Now, my shoes have their own place inside my closet, and while I'm not reaching for different pairs of shoes much these days, knowing that I don't have to dig through a pile of stuff on my closet floor just to find a pair of shoes I want to wear on a given day makes my life so much easier.

I will say, this organizer is much easier to set up with another person. It's not impossible to set up alone, but it will be much quicker if you have someone who can help you hold up the other ends of the rods. Either way, this thing is incredible, and I'm so, so happy with it." β€”Samantha Wieder

Get it from Amazon for $19.97+ (available in two colors).

    22. An "Itsy Pack" of Clixo building toys that combines the staying power of magnets, blocks, and origami into one innovative set, offering kids a completely new and unique way to play!

"Getting to test out new toys 'for my son' is probably the best part of my job. Combine origami, building blocks, and magnets and you've got Clixo. These are so fun to play with (and satisfying when you hear and feel the magnets click together). And since they're for ages 3+ I get to enjoy them for another year or so before most of the pieces vanish under my child's care." β€”John Mihaly

Promising review: "Such a great product!! Everything from the cool packaging, fun instructions, great quality magnets, and above all the amount of time my kids have been playing with it. It has been only two weeks since they received it but both of them (ages 6 and 9) have been playing with it far more than any other toy they have had. I highly recommend it and glad I have a new product to buy for my kids' friends birthday parties." β€”Arielle B.

Get it from Clixo for $29.99 (available in three colors).

    23. A pack of pre-glued press-on nails so you can get the 'gram-worthy gel manicure you crave from the comfort of your couch.

"I've actually been wearing this set for almost a week now and have had no problems. I've cooked, washed dishes, even pretended to clean and they stayed on perfectly. The one recommendation I'd give is to make sure and follow the directions provided (which are SO easy) and size out what nails fit what fingers before you start applying." β€”Elena Garcia

Promising review: "Easy to glue on, it literally took two minutes for both hands. So far I've had them on for three days and so far so good. I did see minor chips on the tips but I filed the imperfections away." β€”Maggie

Get a set of 28 nails from Target for $9.99.

    24. A mystical, moondust powder-to-lather shampoo that's free of any synthetic scents, silicones, or parabens. Just au naturel creamy, moisturizing goodness.

    OWA Haircare

"I use this shampoo and it's amazing. My hair is much silkier and manageable now thanks to this fairy dust. You just need a small amount to get a really good lather going." β€”Bek O'Connell

Promising review: "I have short, healthy, baby fine hair and a healthy scalp. But over the years, I have become more sensitive to ingredients in shampoos and body products. I had been washing my hair with an organic Moroccanoil shampoo but was feeling that my scalp was a bit itchy after washing my hair. I tried OWA because of the simplicity of ingredients and couldn't be happier. My hair is soft and manageable and I don't experience any itchies. It took some trial and error to figure out the right amount to use. Too little left my hair feeling still dirty and too much was hard to rinse out. Just right is perfect (for my pixie cut, it's probably 1/8 teaspoon or less). I recently went on a road trip and it was super easy to just throw the mini in my bag. No fuss, no muss!" β€”Mags

Get it from OWA Haircare for $29.

    25. A Lovecraft Country vinyl sticker featuring *RAD* original artwork of Leti Lewis and Atticus. It's also waterproof so no fear if your water bottle needs a Lovecraftian update!

    Salem 365 / Etsy

Based in Brooklyn, Salem 365 is a small biz creating pop culture-inspired stickers and prints with gorgeous original illustrations.

"If you haven’t taken the time to be swept up by the sci-fi horror that is Lovecraft Country, it’s time to get on it. It’s like The X-Files mixed with Indiana Jones drenched in Black history excellence. But, after any good show, you wanna find merch to rep your fave characters. This vinyl sticker of the main characters, Atticus and Leti, was a godsend and will definitely hold me over until the official merch drops." β€”Kit Stone

Get it from Salem 365 on Etsy for $3.99.

    26. A fuzzy teddy coat that's the perfect warm-yet-trendy topper for brisk days. Who woulda thought teddy bears would become my No. 1 style icon?,

"My best friend and I both picked up this coat last year and have already discussed how excited we are to break them out again now that the weather is slowly getting colder. It makes me feel like I'm being enveloped in a warm hug β€” and who doesn't want that?" β€”Heather Braga

Promising review: "This jacket is so soft and warm, and the big pockets are a plus. Like other reviewers, order a size up so you can comfortably layer under and zip up. I usually wear a small but got a medium and it’s perfect! Super cute, I’ll probably buy another in a different color LOL." β€”Brianna

Get it from Amazon for $20.99+ (available in sizes S–3XL and in 33 styles).

    27. A Vellabox candle subscription to send you a sweet-smelling surprise every month! Each all-natural candle is artisan made, so you can regularly support small businesses and smell your way to relaxation any time.

Two candles sitting in an open cardboard box next to a vase
    @vellabox / Via

"I really love the Vellabox candles! They smell so lovely and the containers are so aesthetic, and I love putting them on top of a pile of books or on my table, wherever, because they just spruce up the room and make it look Tumblr-esque LOL. Lighting one also makes the whole room smell great in a few minutes. If you're wondering, my favorite scent is the mandarin and mimosa! I've got my eye on the eucalyptus rain next." β€”Nusrat Sultana

Sign up at Vellabox starting at $10 per box.

    28. A T-shirt inspired by Taylor Swift's Folklore album that'll have Swifties swooning over its cute, collegiate design and comfy fit.

Emma Lord / BuzzFeed, bzzylizzy / Etsy

Based in Massachusetts, bzzylizzy is a new (est. 2020) small biz creating all manner of pop album-inspired tees, stickers, and more!

"Psst β€” I own this shirt, and I love the daylights out of it. I intentionally ordered it two sizes up for an 'oversized' feel and it is so cozy and brings me so much joy that I feel genuine despair when it's in the laundry and not on my person. I also just think this concept is so fresh and unique as album merch β€” don't tell Taylor, but I love this even more than most of what you could buy officially on her site (which, to be clear, I also love a lot, because I am an unrepentant Swiftie monster). I also got several other BuzzFeeders to buy this shirt and they are similarly ~living~ for them!!" β€”Emma Lord

Get it from bzzylizzy on Etsy for $24 (available in unisex sizes S–2X and also in green).

The 11-piece set comes with the blender, additional blender cups, blades, a recipe book, and more!

"I love smoothies for breakfast, but for a long time, I was stuck in a bad routine of buying a $10 drink almost every morning just because I didn't feel like taking the time to make one at home. Then I got a Magic Bullet and realized how easy it is to whip up my favorite breakfast in minutes. I prep my smoothie ingredients in little plastic bags in the freezer, pop them into the Magic Bullet with some almond or oat milk, blend it, and walk out the door. I love that the blender cups come with lids so that you don't even have to transfer your smoothie into another glass." β€”Hannah Loewentheil
