Tie-dye sweatpants, biker shorts, wireless bras, and more styles that defined 2020 for us and will most likely define 2021 for you, too.
"I purchased this chore coat a while ago, and I can't say enough about it. I wanted something soft and cozy to wear while working from home in the tundra that is northern Michigan, but also wanted to feel a tad more sophisticated than the shorts and T-shirts I've been sporting all summer. Now, I slip this on every morning over my pajamas and consider it my way of 'getting dressed' for work. Sometimes wool can irritate my neck and wrists, but this boiled merino is so incredibly soft and hasn't given me any skin irritation at all. The best way I can describe this chore coat is that it combines all the best things about your favorite warm sweater, the ease and simplicity of a cardigan, combined with the versatility of a neutral jacket. It's quickly become the centerpiece of my uniform." —Griffin Gonzales, BuzzFeed Shopping Writer
Get it from Buck Mason for $225 (available in men's sizes Xs-XXL and in six colors).
Promising review: "This dress exceeded my expectations. It’s light, flowy, cute, and comfortable! I usually order a size up to avoid dresses being too short (I’m 5’7"), but a lot of reviews said this runs big, so I ordered a medium, and the length ended up being perfect at just above my knees." —Amanda
Get it from Amazon for $26.99 (available in sizes S-XL and in 12 colors, patterns, and sleeve lengths).

"Plus one to Richer Poorer! I have lived in this sweatshirt. It is the comfiest, softest thing I own."—Melanie Aman, BuzzFeed Shopping Editor
And I'm going to have to third the recommendation by my colleagues. I actually splurged a bit at the beginning of quarantine because I knew I would get so much wear out of this. And let me tell you, it was SO worth it. I wore this sweatsuit at least a couple of times a week during March, April, and even May and have worn it many more times since. It's super soft and comfortable, yet I still feel put together. I do think it runs pretty true to size, so if you want more of an oversized look, I'd order one size up. But trust me, you will not regret this purchase.
Get it from Richer Poorer for $100 (originally $144; available in women's sizes XS-XL for both pieces and four colors for the sweatshirt and seven colors for the sweatpants).

I cannot even describe to you just how soft it is — it's what I imagine living in an actual fluffy cloud would feel like." —Heather Braga, BuzzFeed Shopping Editor
Promising review: "I don’t even know how to start... this is honestly the best purchase I’ve ever made from AE. It’s the softest thing I’ve ever owned. Feels like I’m wearing a cloud. I’m 5'9" and 160 lbs. I bought it in small and XS online, both fit but I decided on the small for a more cozy fit." —Creasy
Get it from Aerie for $32.97 (originally $54.95; available in women's sizes XXS–XXL).
Promising review: "I'm a stylist and have been trying on many, many Amazon leggings for fit. These are the best for my curvy hips and a smaller waist. I am about a size 12, and these are not too thick but have compression. The feel is GREAT. They seem very high quality. They are so completely comfortable I am wearing them without something covering my butt, for the first time in about a year. (These show off my curves!) I'm wearing a size L and am now shopping for several other pairs!!." —Auretha, Soul Stylist
Get them from Amazon for $29.99 (available in sizes XS-XL and in 22 patterns).
"I bought a second set of these after feeling how soft and comfy they were! With the ruffle details, the top is cute enough to not just sleep in, but also wear on a Facetime date or Zoom meeting!" —Katy Herman, BuzzFeed Shopping Editor

Promising review: "I wasn't sure what to think based on the description alone. You just never know. But as soon as these bad boys arrived, I fell in love with them. They fit great and are sooo comfortable. The fabric feels almost like a very thin cashmere and I like that they have pockets so I can haul things around. I bought these to replace a pair of terry joggers whose drawstring broke and just wanted them to be as easy and comfortable and cozy. They totally are. I want to buy them in every color and wear 20 pairs at once." —Meredith in Maine
Get them from Amazon for $13.99 (available in sizes S-3X and 20+ colors and prints).
Promising review: "This is one of my go-to tees. It's my absolute favorite and so comfy. I bought a large. I usually wear a medium, but I wanted a baggier look. I have washed and dried this tee numerous times, and it has not shrunk, nor lost its shape or color. Grab one before they are gone!! I have one in black, gray, and white." —J. Edwards
Get it from Amazon for $17.99 (available in women's sizes S-XXL and in 33 colors and prints).
These joggers are one of my favorite purchases this year. I personally believe that Aerie has some of the best comfy clothes, and my closet would have to agree. These joggers are many with one of the softest materials I've ever felt. They essentially feel like butter. And I love that they're high waisted yet aren't too tight. I bought these over the summer, and they were not too hot to wear on even the warmest of days. But now that it's winter, I'm still wearing them. They're so versatile. I've worn them with T-shirts, sweatshirts, and even sweaters. You really can't go wrong picking up a pair of these for yourself.
Get them from Aerie for $38.46 (originally $54.95; available in women's sizes XS-XXL, short, long, and in three colors).
Promising review: "I LOVE these and practically live in them. The fabric is thick and totally squat proof. The pockets on both legs are great for carrying a phone, cards/cash, keys — I can just run out of the house without needing a purse (so liberating!). I wear these for working out, hanging out at home, running errands... I am short (5'4") and the 5" inseam hits just about mid-thigh." —Kelsey O.
Get them from Amazon for $19.99 (available in women's sizes XS-5X and in 42 colors and lengths).
"As someone who is rather busty, I find this bra to be supportive enough to feel secure, but like a slice of heaven when I don't feel like wearing a more structured bra (which is basically all the time). It has great coverage, which is really hard to find once you move out of the D-range of bra sizes." —Kayla Boyd, BuzzFeed Shopping Editor

Promising review: "I just bought my second pair of AT Slim pants. They have completely replaced jeans because they are more comfortable, hold up better, and look better. They also dress up well with a nice shirt and shoes making them the perfect travel clothes. I am in between sizes and ordered up on my first pair. Because of the stretch, they felt a bit loose. The second pair, I exchanged for one size smaller. There were no questions asked and the turnaround time was quick, even during COVID. I sound like a shill, I’m not, just a happy customer." —Dave C.
Get them from Western Rise for $128 (available in men's sizes 28-40 and in five colors).
Promising review: "This is incredibly soft. It is big and baggy and a large weave, but thick, and so it is wonderfully comfortable. The colors are rich and deep. Because it is such a large weave, it can snag on some things but seems to also be easy to stretch it back into shape. With that being the case though, not sure how to tighten it again to maintain shape, mostly in the cuffs. This honestly just feels like wearing a personal blanket." —Jackie Giusti
Get it from Amazon for $39.97 (available in one women's size and in 22 colors).
I really have no idea what the set is made of. Clouds? Dreams? Happiness? Whatever it is, it is SO soft. I actually audibly said, "Wow, I think this is the softest thing I put on my body" the first time I put these on, even though I was in my room by myself. Not only is this set super soft, but it's pretty stylish too. I've worn it around the house all day to work and felt super put together. It's been a rough year for everyone, and a soft sweatsuit will not change that, but this set just might bring you a little comfort and happiness, and that's all that we need at this moment.
Get the set from Knix: $55 (for the top; available in women's sizes S-XXL and in white and grey) and $55 (for the bottoms; available in women's sizes S-XXL and in white and grey).

"This was me hiking last summer in Santorini posing for a photo op. It felt like a looong hike (I don't hike often, OK?). Despite POURING In sweat and walking up pretty steep inclines, my leggings did not bunch or roll. I've worn them what I guess is 50+ times since both for running errands in my hood and for actual workouts. They're super comfy, wash well (I send them out for wash and fold laundry service, which can be rough on clothes), are seamless all over, and flatten the look of my stomach (if that's a concern) without making me feeling like I'm in a sausage casing. They're my nicest pair of leggings and honestly, I thought I lived in my Spanx leggings before quarantine, but now they've basically become one with my leg skin." —Elizabeth Lilly, BuzzFeed Shopping Editor
Get them from Spanx for $78 (available in women's sizes XS-3X).
"I adore this jumpsuit. It's very soft and versatile. Wear it alone, with a cardigan, or layered over a favorite T-shirt! It does pill (as other reviews point out) but a session with my sweater shaver leaves it looking fresh again!" —Danielle Healy, BuzzFeed Shopping Writer
Promising review: "I haven’t felt attractive in a piece of clothing since somewhere around the end of second trimester over a year ago! This is so cute and I get compliments every time I wear it. It has MASSIVE pockets (yes!!), and the drawstring waist helps it hang just right. The only reason I don’t own it in every color already is that the leg fabric is pilling REALLY badly. I’m worried it will wear out soon, but it is worth every penny in price per wear. I’ve worn it all summer." —Leslie Reads a Lot
Get it from Amazon for $26.35 (sizes available in women's XS–XXL and in five colors).
"I own several pairs of these shorts and they are hands-down the most comfortable lounge shorts of all time. They somehow have the breathability of nylon basketball shorts, but also have a just-warm-enough fleece-like lining that sets them apart from other athletic shorts. I am unashamed in admitting that I live in mine. You can also have them personalized with a letter or symbol of your choice (and believe me, you'll need to do this because everyone in your household is going to end up purchasing multiple pairs and you'll need to be able to differentiate whose is whose)." —Griffin Gonzales, BuzzFeed Shopping Writer
Promising review: "These shorts are absolutely incredible! I wear mine almost everyday when after I get home from work. They are so beyond comfortable. They fit true to size, are the perfect length and will be the best decision you’ve ever made to buy them. I would rate them 10 stars if I could. I have since bought two pairs of every color since my first purchase!!" —Levi V.
Get them from Nice Laundry for $42 or $49 for the personalized and customized pairs (available in men's sizes S-XL and eight colors).
"These 'dream jeans' are *so* stretchy and soft that I prefer them to pretty much any other pair in my closet. As seen in the photo above, I was able to comfortably get on the ground to pet a pup without any issue (priorities). They don't cut into my waist — if I was capable of doing a cartwheel, I could definitely do one in these. I love them so much I sent a few pairs along to my sister who is also now obsessed." —Heather Braga, BuzzFeed Shopping Editor
Promising review: "These are pretty jeans. I am usually an XS/0 but since they are stretchable I figured I'd go a size down and these fit perfectly. They fit just right, I love how they stretch and how comfortable I feel in them all day." —Sandra
Get them from American Eagle for $44.96 (originally $59.95; available in sizes 000–24, in short, regular, and long sizes, and six colors).
I recently ordered this top to see what the hype was all about, and, let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The top is so comfortable and hits right where my high-waisted leggings end, which means there's no extra fabric around my waist. The top is great for low-impact workouts — but I also love to wear it every day because it eliminates the need to wear a sports bra and a tank top, so it's perfect to layer under sweatshirts and even sweaters.
Promising review: "This top is so cute and comfortable! It works best for yoga and low-intensity workouts, but I have worn it during high-intensity workouts, and it stays put (I do have a smaller chest). Also, it is great quality and very soft." —Emily Mahn
Get it from Amazon for $22.99 (available in women's sizes S-XXL and in 19 colors).
"These shorts come in a bazillion rotating colors because they sell out so quickly you might blink and miss them. I own a pair in pink (that is me being v cheeky above) and can confirm that they are so comfortable that I genuinely had to look down and make sure I wasn't naked a few times, but still opaque enough to venture out into the world without worrying about everyone seeing your booty. I probably own 10 pairs of bike shorts now (don't look at me), and these are the comfiest by far." —Emma Lord, BuzzFeed Shopping Editor
Get them from Free People for $20 (available in women's sizes XS-L and 19 colors).
Promising review: "I have told all my friends about this bra!!! I am a size 40 H, and I can never find bras that fit and they HURT! They are made out of concrete or something???? With knives that poke my rib cage. There was always a pile of bras on my living room couch because I would take them off as soon as I got off work. Anywho... So I ordered one of these in a 2X. The price was worth the risk. I now own every available color in 2X. This is the first bra I don’t want to burn after wearing for 8 hours. Like I actually don’t hate wearing this!!! And that’s HUGE!" —Amazon Customer
