We recently asked the BuzzFeed Community to tell us which queer TV characters have such main character energy, they deserve their own shows. Here are some of their responses:

"I would love to see a show of him dealing with being a queer teen in the academy, because I think we can all agree that Reginald would not be supportive. Plus, he most definitely wouldn’t be allowed to embrace his feminine side. I would love to see more of his childhood and him growing into himself."

"He is more interesting than any character on this show, TBH. From his relationship with his parents (which you would think would be stereotypically harsh, but it's not) to his friendship with Otis, I would love to see more of his backstory and his individual adventures."

"Her solo episode on Euphoria only scratched the surface of the complex life that she lived. I would love to see how she lived with her mother both before and after she sent Jules to the horrible hospital. I want to see her live her best life in the city with her other queer friends. The town in the show is way too small for the big personality that is Jules Vaughn."

8. Captain Raymond Holt and Kevin Cozner from Brooklyn Nine-Nine

"Captain Holt and Kevin from Brooklyn Nine-Nine 100% deserved their own TV show! Even though they had their arguments, it was such a relief to see a healthy LGBTQ+ couple onscreen living a happy, fun, and fulfilling life. I’d LOVE to see Holt and Kevin as main characters in their own series, and bring the whole 99 back every once in a while (mainly for Halloween heist episodes)."

"One of the best things that happened to Riverdale was when Toni Topaz joined the show for Season 2 — she instantly became one of the most beloved characters (and one half of Choni — my personal favorite Riverdale ship!), and I couldn’t imagine the show without her. She’s such an interesting character, and I’d love to see a spinoff explore her backstory more and give her the screen time she deserves."

11. Miles Hollingsworth III from Degrassi: The Next Generation and Degrassi: Next Class

"She deserves more screen time. This show has done a fabulous job of fixing the books’ mistakes so far, so why shouldn’t they give Nadia a three-dimensional personality while they’re at it? Plus, Black queer representation is not very present in fantasy books, so I hope they don’t skim over or omit her arc with Tamar."
