Miles From "Degrassi" Was An Absolute Bisexual Legend, And Here Are 17 Moments To Prove It

    Those salmon pants, though.

You know Degrassi, the Canadian teen drama that pretty much shaped everyone's teenage years.

    Original TNG cast

We all know and love Emma, Manny, J.T., Liberty, Paige, and the rest of the OG Next Generation cast. But a lot of people don't realize Degrassi actually continued all the way through 2017!

    Season 14 cast

So today, I want to show my appreciation to a newer Degrassi character: Miles Hollingsworth III.

    Eric Osborne as Miles

Although I'm not a fan of his relationship with Tristan, Miles remains my favorite bisexual TV character of all time. Here are some of his best certified Bicon™ moments:

    Warning: Spoilers ahead!!!

    1. First, when he came out to his entire family in the most iconic way possible.

Miles blurts out to his dad that he was late because he was busy making out with his boyfriend, everyone stares

    2. When he shot down his father's nonsense with some simple logic (and a jab at his brother).

Miles' dad calls him having a boyfriend ridiculous, Miles responds: "Kissing someone is ridiculous? Then I guess all of us are ridiculous, except Hunter"

    3. When he had this very relatable response to people asking him to define his sexuality.

    4. When he had these very reasonable standards.

Maya: "So you just make out with whoever?" Miles: "Whoever asks nicely"

    5. When he gave Frankie some brotherly advice.

Miles tells Frankie people will find a reason to make fun of her no matter what, so just live your life

    6. When he uttered this absolutely iconic line.

Miles jokes about accepting a challenge to get pregnant

    7. When he beautifully explained his dating philosophy.

Miles to Zoe: "Love the person, not the gender"

    8. When he ran for school president with the best slogan.

Miles' slogan was, "I play for all teams"

    9. When he read the greatest poem of all time.

Miles: "Roses are red violets are blue, this assignment sucks, and Tristan also sucks"

    10. When he wore his signature salmon pants with PRIDE.

    11. When he said he would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, thank you.

Tristan with their fake baby for home economics: "Hey, Daddy!" Miles: "Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and shut that down right now"

    12. When Zoë was struggling to figure out her sexuality, and he was there to support her.

Miles: "If you care too much about what people think, you just end up hurting yourself; forget other people's definitions, be the person you wanna be"

    13. When Tristan tried to shame him for being with girls prior to their relationship, and Miles was NOT here for it.

Tristan calls Miles a "manwhore" and "someone who humps anything that moves," Miles responds: "Hey I can't un-have sex with those girls, if you can't handle my past..."

    14. When he blessed Lola and us with these glorious Oomfchat (aka Snapchat) faces.

    Miles makes goofy Snapchat faces

    15. When he wrote a semi-autobiographical play and named the character based on himself "Hero," because of course he would.

    16. When he refused to let other people define his sexuality based on his relationship status.

Miles says he dates girls too, "I'm not just about sex with boys, if that's what you're saying"

    17. And finally, when he officially came out as bisexual!

Miles: "All my life I've struggled with my identity, this has left me afraid, afraid to be labeled, afraid to identify as bisexual, but that is a part of me"

Miles Hollingsworth, you absolute bicon, you!
