Why we love it: "Even though they are talking a mile a minute and there is such a lack of diversity in the show I want to SCREAM (one Asian family, and a Black-French wise guy), I love this show, it calms me down, and reminds me of my childhood when I didn't get more than half of the references and that was okay. We got mother-daughter relationships, small-town drama, and family drama all set in the '00s so the fashion is fun and the eyebrows are thin! I also never skip the theme song because that song is genius, and Carole King is a goddamn legend. The show is 45 minutes long with 22 episodes per the seven-season run! So you can be watching this show for a long time. YOU'RE WELCOME! You are welcome. 6. Santa Clarita Diet

Why we love it: "Santa Clarita Diet is probably one of the most charming television shows of all time. This delightful zomcom (zombie comedy) follows realtor Sheila Hammond (Drew Barrymore) who unexpectedly becomes a zombie after eating some bad clams. She can still pass as human, she just has to eat people every now and then so Dexter-esque hijinks ensue. YES, this is a show about a peppy realtor with a secret second life where she hunts down and eats bad people! Do I really need to say more? Despite being kind of gross and gory at times (as any zombie show will be), the show has a lot of heart. Barrymore and her co-star Timothy Olyphant have amazing chemistry and have instantly become my favorite TV show couple. The show was created by Victor Fresco, who you might know from Better Off Ted, an equally under-appreciated show. Although Santa Clarita Diet was canceled after just three seasons (and on a cliff hanger, no less!), I'm still dedicated to getting everyone I know to watch it." —Rebecca O'Connell

Now that it's Summertime — aka time for me to stay indoors and catch up on shows that I've missed — I'm finally getting around to the shows that were on my list to watch but hadn't gotten around to yet. Roswell is SO GOOD that I'm actually forcing myself to pace through the episodes every couple of days instead of all at once because it's just so enjoyable. For me, it hits all the sweet spots: romance, drama, beautiful people, nostalgia, AND aliens??? Yes, please. I haven't been so pleasantly surprised with a flashback episode than the show's fifth, which flashes back to 2008 in all of its emo glory. The music and clothes were like a gut punch of all the teenage feels. Long story short, if you're looking for a good show to get hooked on, Roswell, New Mexico is for you." —Whitney Jefferson

11. Hyori's Bed & Breakfast (A.K.A. Hyori's Homestay)

Why we love it: "Lately my mental health has been really tanking, so I wanted something lighthearted and relaxing to watch on Netflix — I'd heard of Lee Hyori's reality show before (and anyone who knows K-pop and its history knows she's a fucking icon) and decided that, yes, a show about a bed and breakfast on the peaceful, lush island of Jeju Island would fit the bill. And damn, it makes my heart so happy! I'm sure Hyori and her husband, Sang Soon, ham it up a little for the camera, but their relationship is truly super cute — like, in a way that gives me hope about love and marriage. And all of the guests that are chosen for the show (thousands of people from all across Korea applied!) are also fittingly cute, kind, and have interesting backgrounds. Plus, the first season recruited K-pop singer IU to help out as B&B staff and her demeanor is so endearingly awkward, and it's fun seeing her ~just be herself~. I returned to my old ways of bingeing 'til 4 am in the morning last weekend and I HAVE NO REGRETS." —Sarah Han

It's an anthology series that's all animated (different styles of animation for each episode) that dives into things like the meaning/purpose of life, what survival is, morality, etc. This series is masterful at telling a story and somehow using each story's animation style to enhance the mood and emotion it's trying to convey. Why we love it: "It’s a modern-day vampire mockumentary that’ll be a welcome addition to the binge rotation of anyone who has a dark sense of humor. (But it isn't scary!!!). In my humble opinion, a well-done mockumentary is one of the best things you'll ever watch. Um, have you seen the likes of This is Spinal Tap or Best in Show? (Seriously, if you love Schitt's Creek, puh-leez watch Best in Show for more Catharine O'Hara action.) So when my brother told me that there's a mockumentary about vampire roommates in current-day New Zealand, I *had* to watch. And it's amazing! What We Do in the Shadows is one of my all-time faves. It slaps every. Single. Time. But when I heard they were making a TV show I thought 'ehhhh.' Welp, I've never been more wrong about anything in my life. The TV show is almost *too* good. Like, I maybe don't trust that it's so good! And though the first season has been airing on TV, I've been traveling a lot lately and bingeing it while I can. The film was set in New Zealand but the TV show has four vamps living as roommates in modern-day Staten Island, where a boat dropped them off with kinda-sorta orders to turn Americans into vampires. And they haven't. The roommates include Nandor, a Vlad Dracula–lookalike that tries and fails to rule the household in a variety of silly scenarios; Laszlo and Nadja, a couple who are eternally bound (or ARE they?!) after she turned him into a vamp a few centuries ago; and then there's Colin, a day-walking energy vampire who's the WORST, being an energy vampire and all. Oh, and they also live with Guillermo, Nandor’s familiar who’s been there for YEARS and Nandor isn’t the nicest to...but he also isn't the worst! But why is it so good?! The same folks are behind it as the original film (Jemaine Clement and Taika Waitit). You'll find some 1-on-1 camera confessionals like you would in any self-respecting reality show and, trust me, I am well versed in all reality TV so it holds up in that regard. It also does a fantastic job marrying comedy and vampire tropes together, like situations where one vamp turns into a bat, gets picked up by animal control, and then everyone else has to help him escape. And I'll never get over Nandor calling crepe paper 'creepy paper' while shopping in the craft aisle and spreading glitter all over his skin like in Twilight when a vamp bigwig is coming for a visit. Plus, Nadja's reactions to everything slays me. I should've known it would be amazing when Matt Berry (the horrible creepy boss from IT Crowd) was cast as Laszlo. But I won't waste your time *explaining* why I love that you could use watching the premiere. Seriously, watch it, make everyone that enters your home watch it (as I have), bring it up in unrelated conversations (as I also have), and then thank me eternally. But what if you hate scary things?! NBD, as some of my biggest scaredy cat friends also love it." —Elizabeth Lilly
