You do realize that parts of the Midwest get large lake effect snowfalls, right? Maybe not to the extent of some place like Buffalo, but some of the U.S. cities with the largest annual snowfalls are on these lists because of Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, etc.

15/16. Clearly I have been neglecting my duties as an avid Harry Potter. I must confess I have not re-read the series since 2012...this is the sort of thing that happens when you start slacking off.

I have had to buy new copies of a few of my Harry Potter books because they were just too well loved. I don't mind if books are a little worn, but my copies were starting to resemble messy piles of pages rather than actual books.
