The first half isn't exactly true either. Research that's publicly funded through the NIH (taxpayer dollars) has to be published on PubMed, which is open to literally everyone. There are a lot of messed up things about the healthcare system, but #17 seemed pretty off-base.

@shelleye Most hospitals *only* provide 'hospital scrubs' for people working in surgical specialties--OR, L&D, sometimes ICUs. It's fairly rare for hospitals to provide scrubs to all of the inpatient staff. It all comes down to cost--hospital scrubs are expensive, and a ton go missing.…

True, but it actually seems like a nice, intentional choice given how much major movies and shows rely on CGI nowadays. In some ways production probably would have been a lot easier if they'd just relied on CGI, but it's neat that they made the extra effort to do it this way.
