So, I JUST got a new puppy a few days ago — an adorable 8-week-old Havanese named Bailey. We're crate-training Bailey and the first two days were a bit rough for him. He would almost constantly whine/cry when in his crate, to the point that we were only getting about an hour of sleep. I had heard really great things about the Snuggle Puppy, so in a desperate attempt to ease Bailey's separation anxiety and make crate-training easier, as well as to save our sanity, we bought this stuffed toy, and let me tell you, it's made ALL THE DIFFERENCE!
The way it works, is you take this little red heart beat-like ticket, turn it on, and put it inside of the toy, Velcro it shut, and it's meant to make your pup feel as if they're not alone inside the crate. I was hesitant if this would work like I've seen so many reviewers say it worked for them, but it's blown my expectations out of the water. He loves being close to it when he rests in his crate (he also loves chewing it). Best of all, he slept the entire night and has just been so much more calm and happier in his crate. Also, you can opt to buy just the toy itself, or the kit which also comes with a chew toy, and a blanket. I bought the kit which I'm really glad about, because Bailey absolutely LOVES the toy that it came with. I truly cannot say enough good things about this.
Get it from Amazon: the Snuggle Puppy for $39.95 (available in three colors), and the Snuggle Puppy kit for $69.99 (available in three colors).
