Promising reviews: "The quality of my avocado-eating life has increased exponentially since purchasing this item. The ease of cutting into the avocado, removing the pit, gracefully slicing out the pieces of delicious green food: this is what dreams are made of." —Nelsonstaketheworld
"This is a nifty little gadget that cuts your avocado, pulls out the seed, and then cuts the 'meat' of the avocado half into perfect slices for sandwiches or salads. The item may seem redundant when you have a good knife, but this gadget is so fast at what it does, it's really worth it." —BioLover

Promising review: "I have two of these rollers, one for upstairs and downstairs. I have two dogs, but the shedding comes from my German shepherd. This roller is a dream! It works on my bed, on the kids bed and our sectional couch which is always covered in German shepherd black hair. I've replaced the rolls multiple times. I will say that the sheets are super sticky, so yes it does take some attention to detail in order to remove the pet-hair covered sheet for a new one, but really it is not that hard, unless you aren't paying attention to the perforated lines and just try and tear it in the middle of a sheet. We love this thing and if I had a complaint it's that Target is always out of the refill rolls!" —2 Puppies
Price: $10.49 for the roller and 60 sheets (refills are $9.99 for 160 sheets)
It has 12 narrow pockets, two double-wide pockets, and one pocket on the bottom that's the width of the full organizer. (That means it can hold over 16 pairs of shoes!) Reviewers also use it for baby onesies and teen bathroom products!
Promising review: "Great for anyone, especially if you're on a budget. This is a very sturdy, large over the door organizer that has various pocket sizes and holds quite a lot. I use it for various small items from random papers to medicines to chargers and crafts, etc. Very versatile, worth $10 but functions as if it costs more than that." —Marian
Price: $10
It has 18 different cubbies, so even if you had a family of six there's enough space for everyone to store three pairs!
Promising review: "Super easy and quick to put together and a nice-looking piece of furniture. I bought a body pillow for a cushion on top; it's the perfect size on the bench. My women's size 11 shoes DO fit in the cubbie (surprisingly)! Only downside is my husband has size 13 shoes and both shoes don't fit in one cubbie. A great buy!" —gmaof6
Price: $119.99.

They're designed to be incredibly efficient with the space on your shelves, the rounded corners make for easy pouring, and you press the button on top to open and seal the containers.
Promising review: "These are the best; I use them for everything because they save money and keep food longer. They're great for families who eat at home a lot and don't like to waste food (like with kids — and other people — leaving bags open). They also help keep everything organized and looking great in the pantry!" —Target Reviewer

You want one that's about 8-10% of your body weight; this one's available in either 12 pounds or 18 pounds.
Promising reviews: "I love this blanket. I was worried it was going to be too heavy, but it was fine. I noticed a difference in my sleep the first night. I woke up feeling like I actually got decent sleep." —Carm
"The quality is outstanding and the material is soft and cozy. I got this because I was tired of dragging my other weighted blanket from my bed to the sofa. This is my favorite: it was much cheaper and I love the thin layer of batting sewn into the pockets. I don’t notice the beads shifting around like I do on my other one." —Mimiofthree
Price: $49.99–$59.99
Well, it'll be more ergonomic than putting your laptop in your lap and looking down at it the whole time. It tilts, the height's adjustable, and it comes with a mouse rest that you can adjust depending on whether you're left- or right-handed.
Promising review: "Perfect!! I’ve been working from home and needed something I could put over me while sitting on the couch and this fits perfectly. The adjustable height and tilt is great. Highly recommended!" —Brittn3y_24

The average American household ends up throwing away $2,200 worth of food each year, so they'll save you money, too.
I've been using a set of two of these containers since March 2018 (that's over two years!) and STILL love them, because they actually do work and at this point have saved me from throwing countless strawberries, spinach leaves, bell peppers, nectarines, and cherries in the trash — instead, I've been able to enjoy basically every last bite, even when it's taken me 10+ days to finish something! Read my full FreshWorks produce saver review for more. They're completely top-rack dishwasher-safe (I run 'em through all the time). And although it's not surprising considering they're plastic containers, they show absolutely zero signs of age after the two years of regular use. (Note: don't put anything showing signs of mold in the containers, because in my experience it can make it grow faster.)
Get a two piece set from Target for $16.99.
Meaning you can switch to reusable water bottles, too. One of my former roommates has owned an older pitcher from the brand for nearly nine years now and it's still going strong. All you have to do is replace the filters every few months (two with the original filters, six with the "longlast" ones).
Promising review: "The pitcher does exactly what it is supposed to do. We have Lake Michigan water and it has a distinct chlorine smell on certain days. After following the initial prep instructions we noticed the filtered water no longer has a chlorine smell. NICE! The filters will last a couple of months easily based on the recommended max filtering usage. I'm hoping the cost of filters will be in the same range as the cost of buying bottled water in the long run. The pitcher is large and holds 10 cups. It may be heavy to some, however, it weighs less than a gallon of milk so if you can handle a jug of milk, you'll be fine with this pitcher." —CakeSeraSera
Price: the pictured 10-cup version is $29.99 (and available in two colors). They also make a smaller 5-cup version for $19.99, but it may not be in stock in all areas right now.
And y'all, we stan the Tubshroom because it just plain works. You do have to clean it off every other day or so, but that's a small effort, especially compared to having to clean out a drain full of slimy, goopy hair.
Here's what Sarah Aspler, an editor here at BuzzFeed, had to say in her Tubshroom review: "It’s so simple to install. You just pop it in the shower tub drain and you’re good to go. There aren’t any straggler hairs hanging around the drain anymore. All the hair is collected out of view! And it takes approximately two seconds to clean. I just remove the hair with a piece of toilet paper and toss it in the garbage. LATER, GROSS HAIR CLUMP!"

Want the pair that's the third from the bottom? Simply lift up its hanger on the left side, and swing it open. And voila! You can finish getting dressed *and* didn't ruin your lovely organization scheme.
Promising review: "Fantastic pants hanger for those who have a small closet and a lot of pants...I use these specifically for my dress pants and those that are "wrinkle-prone". Slip your pants on and off easily and it's a space-saver since you can hang up to five pairs on one hanger. Fantastic quality and aesthetic — these really got me into my closet-cleaning groove." —taylorn
Price: $7
They're like, a fraction of the width of wood or your more traditional plastic hangers. I use similar hangers in my tiny NYC closet and can fit a TON of clothes with no problem!
Promising reviews: "These are EXCELLENT. They save so much room in the closet, and none of my clothes fall off them. Also, they don't cause a bump mark in the fabric (of sweaters, for instance). Thanks for these!" —ItsHotInDallas
Price: $5 for 10 hangers (available in three colors)
When you're loading the groceries in the trunk, you can also stop spills and keep bags closed by looping it through the bag handles, twisting a couple of times, and laying it flat on top of the bag!
Promising review: "I recently moved to a six-floor walk-up, and decided this was worth a try, as the more I can carry in one trip the better! This helped my hand so much!!! I highly recommend it." —Vanessa

It has so much convenience built in: you can schedule regular cleanings *and* one-off cleans to designated areas via the app, it automatically charges in its home base, it has sensors so it won't fall down the stairs and can maneuver around obstacles, and it can move from hardwood floors to rugs without a hitch!
Promising review: "I've had this for over six months and it is so helpful. I just set it to start once a day and it keeps my house much tidier. I have four kids so my floors always have crumbs. This does an awesome job at picking them all up and does very well taking dog fur off the carpets too! The mapping could be better; sometimes it will go over the same spot multiple times and miss other areas. Overall I do love this thing though." —Ew

All the removable parts are 100% dishwasher safe, too!
Promising review: "We LOVE this sandwich maker! It works as described. We got it so that we could have a good, healthy, quick, breakfast. The egg is always completely cooked, the english muffins are crispy, there's enough room to add veggies as well as meat, the sandwiches stay very hot, and we have been adding some hash browns to the egg. It is non-stick, but it helps to spray the egg plate with a little cooking spray — the egg sometimes sticks slightly. Extremely easy to clean — just wipe off with a damp paper towel. This is an awesome little machine! The only drawback is trying to resist the temptation to fill it too full of goodies!! The egg does leak a little if it's too full. I would definitely recommend this product!" —Carole P
Price: $24.99 (also available as a double sandwich maker for $39.99)
Promising review: "I’ve had neck problems on and off for about a year now. It always starts when I wake up in the morning. I woke up yesterday with some neck pain and took a chance on this pillow. Was pleasantly surprised that just after sleeping on this pillow for one night, I woke up this morning with little to no pain! I’m not sure how it will do in the long run since I have only used it one night but I am hopeful that this could finally end my neck pain." —stmann
Price: $25.49.
Reviewers have even used them for hair brushes and lighter shovels!
Promising review: "These work really well. I have my Swiffer Wet Jet being held by one. It fits and holds it perfectly. The other one is holding my broom and long handle dustpan that has a smaller diameter pole. Since my dust pan is attached to the broom, and since it’s a smaller size, it slides down some. But still works for me. Sticks to my wall well!" —Pattyfrompittsburgh
Price: $11.99 for two grippers and four strips
My aunt uses this as her spice rack and LOVES it. You can see everything, reach everything, and it leaves your counters completely clear.
Promising review: "I LOVE my spice organizer! No more clutter!! It comes with multiple leg sizes (tall and short) to adjust based on your cabinet and preferences. You can either put in one shelf or two, once again depending on your preferences. I used both shelves and the tall legs and it works perfectly in my cabinet. There are multiple adjustments to make the spice rack as wide as your cabinet, which fit perfectly. I would highly recommend this for a cluttered spice cabinet!" —efitz12

"Anyone who reads this, get an Instant Pot!!! I got the 3-quart and it’s worth the size, it’s more than enough for small three-person family like mine. Trust me, it’s lifesaver. A few nights ago we decided on dinner around five o'clock. After buying everything we were home by six, and by seven dinner was done. Honestly I don’t know how I lived without it." —christinam4ee470e81, from the comments in this roundup of gadgets that'll save you time.

And all you need to do is fill its on-board tank with tap water then select one of its three steam settings. No kidding! Oh, and when one side of the (machine-washable) mop pad gets dirty, this one lets ya just flip it over for a completely clean side!
Promising review: "I hate mopping my floors. I have tile throughout my house except in the bedrooms. We have two dogs and two cats. So you can imagine how often I have to dust and mop the floors. I love this steam mop! It is easy to use. My floors are so clean. No mop buckets, no wringing out a dirty mop, no more chemicals! I can do all of the floors in my house in about 25-30 minutes, whereas before it took about an hour and a half. I loved it even more when I realized I could use it to clean base boards! It is so easy to use and such a convenience." —Happy Home
Price: $99.99
It's dishwasher-safe, and made from a sturdy plastic and stainless steel that's designed to withstand years of use. (Note that reviewers say it does not fit the Keurig Mini, unfortunately.)
Promising review: "Excellent product. Works extremely well in multiple Keurig coffee makers in my office, including commercial models. Plastic body is sturdy and thicker than other 'cheap' reusable cups. Filter screen is easy to clean in running water and drains completely during brewing (no drips/residue). Bought this to replace other cheaper products that did not work as well. Very pleased." —Garthamatic
Price: $12.99
Promising review: "I bought two of these and LOVE them. They are high quality, sturdy, and beautiful. The storage is awesome. My kids sit on them all the time and don’t cause damage. Perfect comfortable height with our large sectional sofa. The color is a bit less “bright” than I expected from the picture, which I am happy about. Came fully assembled." —ksmom2019
Price: $84.99+ (available in three colors; also check out Target's full storage ottoman selection for more options! Pretty much all the available pieces are under $200.)
Promising review: "I think this is great for the value! I was thinking I was possibly going to get some on the cheaper side, but not at all: this is made of thick acrylic, has weight to it, and looks really nice. I got rid of three(!) other storage containers and was able to combine everything into one — now I have more room and it looks super nice and clean." —Naniki007

If you plan to do a big project with this, def watch YouTube videos on how to apply it neatly, and how to do the corners!
Promising review: "I bought this on a whim to cover my kitchen backsplash tiles. It took three to four hours, but the contact paper cut well and applied to the tile very nicely. The texture of the underlying tile comes through the paper, which gives a 3D effect. It took about half a roll to complete my kitchen and I have plenty left in case any portion gets damaged. I can't speak to its longterm durability as it's only been up for 48 hours (although I wouldn't personally use it on countertops that will receive heavy use). If you're willing to put in the time, this is a wonderfully cost effective upgrade and it looks great." —Caitlin
Price: $5.99 for 20 feet (18 inches wide).
Promising review: "I bought this mattress topper six months ago and liked it instantly. I waited to write a review to see how it would hold up with use. It's still as comfortable now as the day I bought it, showing no signs of wear. This topper adds comfort for stiff joints and I've found I sleep much better now that I have it. I would strongly recommend it for anyone who needs a little extra padding on their mattress." —Katrock

Promising review: "We have a household with several adults and pets, and this caddy was exactly what we needed to fit everyone's stuff. Tons of room side to side *and* back to front so you can double stack on the shelves if necessary. It's also very sturdy and secure, and fit easily behind our detached shower head. It's nicely styled with a simple, clean look that would work with almost any decor. One drawback, it doesn't fit travel sized or smaller bottles." —Arin
