"Um, guys, the BaubleBar Labor Day sale sounds to good to be true, but it IS true. I have been eyeing these whimsical yet fashion-blogger-worthy flamingo hoops all season, and now they are 10 FREAKING DOLLARS. Sounds fake but okay. Suffice it to say I'm ~tickled pink~." —Katy Herman

"I'm tired of taking dressing so seriously, and these earrings will 100% help me on my quest to make more of my outfits fun and — dare I say — funny. And who doesn't love a little pop of red? Even a neutral-colored outfit + these earrings + a red lip are going to equal ensemble sure to both slay and amuse." —Rachel Dunkel

"This is the year in which I stray from my strict uniform of skinny jeans and wander into the abyss that is different denim silhouettes — which is why I've been obsessed with trying to find the perfect boyfriend jeans. I'm gravitating toward this specific pair because they seem to be tighter at the waist and upper thigh (thus eliminating the need for a belt), while still being loose at the bottom. Plus, the light wash gives these the perfect vintage vibe!" —AnaMaria Glavan
Get them from Nordstrom for $76.80 (originally $128; available in sizes 23-37) or check out all of Nordstrom's Labor Day deals – they're offering up to 40% off.
"After discovering just how comfy and stylish a good pair of loafers can be, I’m now constantly looking to expand my collection. These Franco Sarto ones are the perfect summer-to-fall transition shoe. They’re shaped more like flats than your typical loafer, so I imagine they would feel softer and require less breaking in. I can see myself wearing these with pretty much anything, from distressed jeans to cigarette trousers. They would make any outfit look ~sophisticated~ and are a great alternative to sneakers for days I want to look a bit more put together. The fact that they don’t have any prominent hardware on them is a plus, because I won’t have to worry about matching my belt or jewelry. Stop me before I add all eight colors to my shopping cart!" —Yi Yang
Get them from Macy’s for $67.99 (originally $89; available in sizes 5–11 and eight colors) or check out all of Macy's Labor Day deals – they're offering up to 60% off when you enter promo code WKND at checkout.
"I already have a Rifle Paper rug and so I can attest to the fact they really are ALL that. This rug has been on my wish list for a while and, thanks to Rifle Paper's Labor Day sale, I think I may finally snag it this weekend. I love how the florals will make any room pop and plan to use this to bring more color into my living room. What's not to love?" —Heather Braga

"Ok, I don't know what it is with my ongoing desire to buy heels, despite the fact that I wear flats almost every day (hello, it's NYC and I get tired easily), BUT I saw this color while scrolling through Target, my fave, and my brain did a little flip. I already own a striped, summery pair of A New Day heels veeeery similar in structure to this and they're really cute and comfortable, so that's really all the support/vote of confidence I need to buy this pair. And they costs less than a dinner and drink!" —Sarah Han
Get them from Target for $20.99 (originally $29.99; available in sizes 5.5–12, also in wide) or check out all of Target’s Labor Day deals – they’re offering up to 30% off clothing, home, electronics, and more.
"While I’m not usually the type to splash out hundreds of dollars on a vacuum (because I hate cleaning and rarely do it), I lucked into living with someone who already owned a Dyson, and boy has it changed my feelings about vacuuming. I shed. A lot. Like I’m truly surprised that I’m not bald yet. Fortunately, sucking up the long blonde hairs that seem to sit on every surface in my apartment is easy, and I actually look forward to vacuuming. The one downside to the older Dyson I have is that I wish it lasted a little longer on one charge — and that’s where Dyson’s Labor Day sale comes in handy. This cordless vac is lightweight yet powerful enough to dig into deep carpet fibers to extract hidden dirt. It's great for homes with pets, which I sadly don't have, but living with a boy is similar, right? Someone call my mom, because I’m about to spend $300 on a vacuum. Surely that’s a sign that I’m an adult now…" —Melanie Aman

"I've considered this dress every time I logged onto ModCloth this summer but never actually added it to my cart, so perhaps now is the time. I love yellow. I love gingham. I love fit-and-flare silhouettes. I love sexy (but not too revealing) details like little cutouts. I love stretchy, smocked backs. I love strappy sundresses that show a little chest and make my A cup boobs (which I am proud of, thank you very much) look like they could be a B cup! As you may have inferred if you were following along closely, I love this dress." —Katy Herman

I, for one, love that shade of red and it's an amazing color to rock for the fall and winter. I almost can't wait. I also think this set is great for both everyday looks and night-out looks, and an awesome item to have for Halloween! Plus, the lipstick and eyeshadow have intense pigmentation. And those colors are to *die* for...maybe even by poison apple?" –Nusrat Sultana

"I know mugs are not a very ~exciting~ sale purchase but if you’ve ever seen one of these in a Nespresso store, I guarantee you’ll feel the same excitement as I do. They’re designed by French architect India Mahdavi and are no doubt the most satisfying mugs I’ve ever held in my hands — everything from the shape to the weight to the texture is perfect. The little spout is not only cute but also easy to drink from. Because they’re double-walled, I won’t burn my hands when enjoying a hot coffee. My friend recently bought a pair of these and said they are 100% worth the investment. Normally, they’re a bit expensive. but with the Labor Day discount, I can justify treating myself. Truthfully, I want them in every size, but I’ll start my collection off with the eight-ounce cappuccino cups." —Yi Yang

"So, I know that skinnies aren't the most ~trendy~ jeans right now, but I can't yet see a day where they won't be a staple in my closet. (It could happen! I bet I thought the same thing about my bootcut jeans back in early high school). I've owned various brands of jeans and pants in my life — my current go-to bluejean was $10 from H&M, and it's held up really well for almost two years now — but I bought my first pair of 7 For All Mankind ankle jeans during their Black Friday sale last year, and they are hands-down the most comfortable pair of pants I own. Even better? I'm on the short side, which means those ankle jeans hit me where normal jeans should, no need to hem. That pair's black, so now I think it's time for something blue, and with several skinny pairs under $100, this seems like too good a deal to pass up." —Natalie Brown

"Leopard print is in my closet year-round, but fall is when I REALLY break out that patterns because it reminds me of my own attitude — bold, fierce, and passionate. I love the low heel on these shoes, especially since I don't like wearing sandals or slides that make my feet super close to the ground! Plus, I can already picture these going with so many outfits. Overall, I think they'd be something I could easily slip on in the morning when running out of the house to get to work." —Jasmin Suknanan

“I was working on a leggings roundup recently and came across these Aerie leggings. "If it was socially acceptable to get rid of my furniture to make room for more coffee table books, my sofa would have been out of my living room years ago. As it is, people like to sit on seats, so I have to be slightly more picky about the books I pick up. This hardcover number definitely makes the list. It takes readers through the history of photographs starting in 1839. If you're not much of a reader, this is a satisfying way to look back on history in the most aesthetically pleasing way possible. The images are as lovely as they are interesting, as you get to learn how the images were made in the first place. I dig it, I want it, and thanks to Labor Day... I'm getting it." —Mal Mower

Liiiike, by now I know I like coverage and not being paranoid about accidents and nip slips happening, so one-pieces like this bb are supreme in my mind. But let's be real: I CAN'T GET THESE COLORS OUT OF MY HEAD! I need it. And then I need to run to the nearest body of water. Plus! It's made out of 78% regenerated nylon (made from nylon waste rescued from oceans and landfills like fishing nets, carpet fluff, and fabric scraps), so it feels like I'm doing a small but good deed." —Sarah Han

"I had been wanting to try DIFF Eyewear for a while after seeing major celebs promote them on Instagram (yes, I am a victim to the powers of social influencing). When I finally got my first pair, they exceeded my expectations. The quality is really great and, obviously, they're super cute! This particular pair was a collaboration with Taco Bell (LOL) and they are just so fun and trendy. PLUS, for every pair of glasses they sell, the brand donates a pair of glasses to someone in need. I just ordered a pair of prescription lenses from DIFF and I can't wait for them to arrive!" —Kayla Boyd

"I am truly a fan of midi skirts because, if you've ever walked up the steps of a subway station, you know that anything shorter can be uncomfortable whilst commuting in New York City. So many stairs! So many people! So many breezes! I love that this one has a kitschy design but still uses neutral colors — it makes it easy to pair with any top in my closet. Will I still wear it with something black? Probably. But if I ever decide to incorporate more color into my wardrobe, this skirt would totally work!!!!" —AnaMaria Glavan

"I resisted buying AirPods for a long time, because I have a pair of excellent wired earbuds that have served me well for several years. However, since Apple took away the separate headphone jack several years ago, I found myself having to choose between charging my phone or listening to music. In addition, I like to listen to music while I work and, somehow, my headphone wires always manage to get in the way of my typing. After dealing with these (admittedly) minor inconveniences for a while, I've decided to treat myself to a pair of AirPods. I literally cannot wait to experience what it’s like to whip them out and not have to spend ten minutes untangling them. Plus, I can deck them out in adorable cases. I recently saw my friend drop her AirPods on a hike, where they tumbled down some big, scary-looking rocks and guess what? They survived without a scratch and are still functioning perfectly. I’m sold!" —Yi Yang

"I've been wanting new running shoes for months now, but they're SO. DARN. EXPENSIVE. I'm usually not a brand snob, but I do trust Adidas the most when it comes to designing the proper sneakers for high-level activities like running. It's amazing what a difference good running shoes make — the biggest thing I notice is the lack of painful blisters mid-run. I can't tell you how many times I've had to cut a run short, because my feet were k i l l i n g me and blisters were CERTAINLY in the way. So when I saw these that these sneakers are ~half off~ (that's right — 50%!!!), I knew I had to grab 'em. $42 is a STEAL for nice running shoes...you usually have to pay upwards of $100 (or more). Considering I could easily blow $40 at the grocery store, I think this'll be a ~responsible purchase~ that I can absolutely justify. Maybe now I can run more than two miles without wondering if my feet are going to fall off." —Emma McAnaw

"Whenever there are big sales on the horizon, I try to think of splurge-worthy things that I actually need but usually feel too broke to buy. And as fall is quickly approaching (FINALLY!), I've been on the hunt for a good pair of jeans. J.Crew is ~great~ for buying quality denim — they're 98% cotton, comfortable, actually run true-to-size, and last f o r e v e r. Basically they're worth every penny at their usual price, but getting them at 53% off is EVEN BETTER. I wanted to find a pair that feels *just* trendy enough to look in style, but also neutral enough to wear for a longggg, long time. These lightwash straight jeans with cute side stripes definitely fit the *bill*. Plus, they're high-rise, slightly wide-leg, and frayed, aka the perfect storm of stylish yet traditional. "I've seen these around and always loved the design and style, but recently I . looked into them a bit further and this brand is also just high quality – people swear by it *and* this glass, specifically, has a really thin rim, so the drinking experience is pleasant and not like sipping from a thick plastic bottle. The outside material also has a natural grip, which is great if you're outdoors, playing sports, or even rushing on your way to work." —Jennifer Tonti

"I’ve been meaning to try out clothing from sustainable brand Reformation for a while now, but the high price tags were a major deterrent. That’s why I've waited for their massive end-of-summer sale to pick out a few things. This dark floral midi dress speaks to my soul on several levels, and I like that the longer length will make it more wearable for fall. Heck, I could even throw a sweater over it, add some boots, and wear it during the winter! The best part is the viscose (a man-made cellulosic fiber made from wood pulp) that’s used to make this dress comes from sustainably managed forests. The timeless shape and the eco-friendly aspect make this dress a sound investment for my wardrobe!" —Yi Yang

"I learned how to knit back in high school from friends, but have never really advanced past the phase of knitting rectangles of various dimensions (well, a hat for a then-boyfriend in college that he wore a few times, but that's the extent of it). I've often thought about trying to knit myself a sweater, but figuring out the sizing and the exact yarn to buy to match a pattern in a book always felt a little too intimidating. That's why I've been itching to try one of the kits from We Are Knitters — you can choose a sweater pattern based on your level, and they send you the exact amount of yarn you need for the pattern, the right size needles, and anything else you need so you don't have to fret on the phone to your mom (who doesn't knit herself) as you wander up and down the aisles at your craft store. For anyone reading this for hints, I'd love to try it in the olive, natural, or grey." –Natalie Brown

"Hot weather is nice and all, but I'm more of an autumn gal (thank u summer, next) and the dark fabric on this top already has me rummaging through my closet for my combat boots and black skinny jeans. Also, lately I've been loving the puff-sleeve look. It's chic and simple but decorative enough to add a little flair to your look. It's a low-lift style that always makes me feel so put together. And since this is a crop top, it'll look AH-MAZING with some high-waisted jeans. I'm literally already planning my look in my head!" —Jasmin Suknanan

“I moved into my apartment in April, but I’m STILL getting everything together (don’t judge me, I’ve been busy!!!). My living room has been coming together, but I still struggle with the fact that the room doesn’t have a major light source, and it’s small. I’ve been looking for a nice mirror to help with that. This one will not only really pull the room together and look great, but it will also let light reflect *off* of it so the room looks bigger (almost every NYC apartment needs that). —Abby Kass

"All of Kurt Lyle's shoes are darn artworks of both form and function, but these particular boots deserves to be a literal painting. They're stunning *and* made to be comfortable. As someone who lives in the city, I consider my shoes to be a form of transportation. If I were to buy a car, I'd want one that is reliable *and* good looking. And THAT, my friends, is how I justify spending big dollars on small shoes. Fortunately, while this sale is going on, this beaut of a boot is more in my typical splurge-worthy price range and thus, I need it. I'm instantly drawn to the shine from the patent leather and love the subtle abstract heel. They still seem sturdy and comfortable enough to walk long distances in, but they don't compromise style. Their rubber outsole is literally designed for city walking... and for me, I'm pretty sure." —Mal Mower

"Fall and winter are my favorite and I can totally see myself rocking these leggings through both seasons. I'm already fantasizing about how cute they'd look with a chunky oversized sweater. I'm a sucker for anything with a subtle amount of spook to it, so you better believe these will be one of my Labor Day purchases." —Heather Braga

"I've been wanting wall decor for a while now, but haven't gotten around to doing that. But I do know one requirement: set up has to be super easy — and well, I don't think it gets much easier to nailing in the top corners. And the design is the best part! Anything that celebrates and affirms the female body (which I'm assuming the artist is doing, lol!) is a winner in my book. She looks so peaceful too. An encourager of naps, just like myself." —Sarah Han

"I’ve loved Superga since Alexa Chung first collabed with the brand, something I think about at least one a week. These sneakers aren’t from her collection, but they’re still a classic shoe that’ll stand out in a sea of Converse and Vans (no shade, because both of those brands are great). Also, I’m like pretty sure Leandra Medine released a similar shoe in her collection with Superga, and those are truly the only two celebrity endorsements I care about." —Melanie Aman

“I’m going to be real with you: I’m so over summer. Yes, it’s been great, but I’m ready for the days when I can step outside and not immediately start to sweat. Plus, fall fashion is my favorite. I don’t know if it’s because of the back-to-school season or what, but it’s always the time of year when I want to switch up my style a bit and try something new. When I saw this shirt from Who What Wear’s Target collection, I knew it was perfect for that. "I love a trucker jacket and already own a shearling-lined Levi's one that's come in handy so many times in the year since I bought it. I throw it over maxi dresses and ankle boots, packed it as my *only* outerwear when I carried on for a long weekend in blustery May London, and just generally feel like a badass when I pull it on for the day. But like most of my outerwear, that jacket is gray and black. I'm fortunate enough to have a dedicated coat closet in my one-bedroom NYC apartment (living solo is the best!) and it's mainly packed with black and gray things. 'Packed' you ask? Yes packed. So really I don't need to this additional piece of outerwear. Yet in the great words (or something like them) of Ariana Grande, 'I want it, I'll get it.'" —Elizabeth Lilly

“I love crossbody bags. I used them every weekend. But once the week hits, I usually switch back to my big tote to carry everything I need for work and beyond. But, when I saw this, I realized that it's the perfect compromise. It’s a crossbody, but still big enough to hold all my essentials (wallet, Kindle, hand sanitizer, etc.) *YET* won’t be so big that my shoulders will start to hurt when I have to hold it for hours while standing at the bar during happy hour.” —Abby Kass

"Urban Outfitters is taking an additional 40% off sale items, so naturally I spent a full day stalking each section. This big ole' pillow jumped out at me immediately, wailing 'buy me!' Throw pillows are worthless clutter, but I am the worthless clutter queen and I want to surround myself with fancy, dust-collecting pillows. So far, I don't own any, but this sherpa-covered beauty featuring a deranged, close-up image of a cat seems like the perfect place to start. In a post-Cats-trailer world, it only seems right." —Bek O'Connell

"When I first tried Good American denim, I was curious to find out if the brand would actually live up to the hype (and the price tag). Needless to say, I was impressed! As a plus-size woman, I actually hate wearing jeans. They just never fit right and they're uncomfortable. Well, this Kardashian-approved line gave me everything I was looking for. The jeans are a soft, stretchy denim that is comfy, yet durable. I wear them pretty much every time they're clean!" —Kayla Boyd

"I recently wrote about light fixtures that don't cost a fortune which was born out of my frustration shopping for classy but affordable lighting to replace the harsh 'boob lights' in my apartment. Options are slim! And, how much should you really be investing in a Brooklyn rental, anyway? The goods news: West Elm, a trusty source for all things lighting — and a prominently featured store in the aforementioned list — is offering up to 30% off plus free shipping on their selection. I'm quite taken with this three-light chandelier from the NYC-based Bower Studios. I frequently drool over their aspirationally priced homeware — here, for one weekend, I can almost rationalize shelling out this amount of cash." –Colin Gorenstein
