James Charles Was At Kylie Jenner's Skincare Launch And People Were Pretty Confused Why

"Stop believing everything you read on the internet."

Whether you want to be or not, I know you're aware of the drama that's been following YouTuber James Charles for the last couple of weeks.

In case you've somehow managed to avoid it, the drama kicked off after James' friend and fellow beauty YouTuber Tati Westbrook made a (now-deleted) video "exposing" him for various things.

During the drama, things didn't look so great for James. He lost over 2 million subscribers on YouTube in a matter of days, and a lot of his famous friends appeared to unfollow him on Instagram.

One such friend was lip kit queen Kylie Jenner. People were pretty shook that she had appeared to cut ties with James, considering they seemed pretty close, and even made a video together for his YouTube channel.

But, sure enough, when you search for James in Kylie's following list on Instagram, he's nowhere to be found.

Which is why there was a lot of confusion when James showed up at the launch event for Kylie's skincare line, Kylie Skin, on Tuesday.

And the caption of the selfie James posted didn't seem to indicate any bad blood between the two of them.

People literally flooded the comments of his post, pointing out that Kylie unfollowed him/doesn't follow him.

    So.

    Many.

    Comments.

And while a few people did point out that James wouldn't have been at the event if Kylie didn't want him there...

Most of the comments went something like this:

So James himself popped up in the comments to clear a few things up.

"She never followed in the first place," he wrote. "Stop believing everything you read on the internet."

So there we have it. No sister scandal here, ladies.
