    1. Clear drop-front shoeboxes for ultimate sneaker protection, to eyeball your selection while piecing together your OOTD, or to use as a pretty rad backdrop for selfies.

A reviewer photo with a wall of sneakers inside of the clear drop front shoeboxes
    Kayla Boyd / BuzzFeed

"I kept putting off buying these shoeboxes because they are definitely a pricier route if you have a lot of shoes. But I decided to go for it and purchase the boxes in chunks — it's hands-down the best purchase I've made all year! Living in a small NYC apartment, I could never find a way to store all of my sneakers in a way that wasn't damaging or wouldn't have them be out of sight (then I would honestly never wear them). After trying tons of different racks over the years, this is the first option that I've ever been 100% satisfied with. It looks great, even in my small bedroom, I can see and access all of my sneakers, and the boxes are extremely sturdy. I am obsessed with my shoe wall." —Kayla Boyd

Get a set of six from The Container Store for $49.99 (also available in a larger size).

    2. A gel nail polish kit to help you maintain your gel manicure even when you can't make it to your fave nail shop. *cue TikTok sound* Nobody's gonna know — how would they know?

A reviewer photo with their nails painted using the gel nail polish and all of the different nail polish colors in the kit
    Kayla Suazo / BuzzFeed

"Long before quarantine days I was a nail salon regular. Once lockdown really hit, I realized I needed to take my manicure ~into my own hands~. These Gellen gel polishes give salon-quality results at home. Truly, I can get a full two weeks without peeling/chipping/breaking. The amount of $$$ I have saved..." —Kayla Suazo

Get it from Amazon for $24.99.

    3. An Australian pink clay face mask made with kelp, witch hazel, kakadu plum, and Australian pink clay, ~obviously~. Those pores of yours, don't stand a chance.

    Australian pink clay mask

"I'm always wary of brands that have been hyped up on Instagram. I'm just a natural skeptic. But this Sand & Sky pink clay mask!? I understand why so many people have been raving about it. My acne has thankfully calmed down in the past few years, but I still get breakouts about ~once a month~. When I see some pimples forming, I apply this before bed and when I wake up in the morning — all spots are visibly reduced and it's great at helping cystic acne come to a head (ew). It also helps... take away that deep pimple pain? If you know, you know. Definitely moisturize after using this as it can be a bit drying due to the clay formula." —AnaMaria Glavan

Get it from Amazon for $49.

    4. Pig of the Month — a BBQ subscription service that brings you meaty delectables to satiate your carnivorous needs every month. And, they even come with special sauces and ingredients to introduce you to new recipes for your various meat dishes.,,

"This subscription box from a woman-owned brand comes with lots o' meaty options that are all but ready for ya' because someone else has done the prep work. I recently gave this behemoth of a delivery a spin with my meat-eating family chock full of food opinions, and they loved it! Even my dad, who can be a hard sell for any food things I get sent. ('This is weird' is something I hear often.) We quickly went through the included Tangy Memphis BBQ Sauce (which you can buy separately here) after pouring it all over pork chops, chicken, and most everything else." —Elizabeth Lilly

Get it from Pig of the Month starting at $255/3 months.

    5. A moisturizing gel-cream reviewers say has become their go-to moisturizer for lightweight hydration.

    The moisturizing gel cream

"I have this moisturizer and as someone with oily skin, I approve!! Once you squeeze it out of the tube, it looks just like a creamy gel. But once you apply it to your skin, it feels cooling and dries to a soft matte finish (totally wasn't expecting that). Because of that, it doesn't make my face feel excessively oily throughout the day (and I literally wear this all day). I'm also prone to large, painful cystic breakouts and this hasn't aggravated my acne at all. My mom has dry skin — the total opposite of mine — and when she tried some, it hydrated her face enough to the point where she didn't feel like she needed to reapply during the day. This moisturizer seems to strike the perfect balance for the needs of both dry and oily skin!" —Jasmin Suknanan

Get it from Versed for $14.99.

    6. A laptop table that'll help you be super productive from the comfort of your bed. You may even be on time for the next Zoom meeting. ~fingers crossed~

    Marquaysa Battle / BuzzFeed

"The ULTIMATE laptop desk tray — I own it and I can promise that any student who works from bed (listen, sometimes it's like that) will enjoy every single feature. I don't know where my back and neck would be without it. This baby has three adjustable heights as shown in the photos. On top, it has a spot for your laptop and a mouse pad. Both sections lift up and reveal a storage spot inside the tray for pens, pencils, notepads, etc... The tray also has five USB ports, an LED light, and a laptop fan. Of course, all that runs on three AAA batteries. Simply put, this laptop desk tray has all the bells and whistles for a student to work comfortably and have what they need in less than arm's reach." —Marquaysa Battle

Get it from Amazon for $41.99 (originally $51.99).

    7. A pair of slip-on sneakers because they're not only stylish, they're eco-friendly — made using recycled materials. Who knew saving the planet could be so fashionable? We did. 😜

A model wearing the slip on sneakers in black and white with a pair of shorts

"These sneakers from Avre are my current favorite pair of shoes. I've had them for a couple months now, and I wear them almost every day. Since they're made of knit fabric, they stretch right onto your foot and are super comfortable. Plus, the chunky heel adds a bit of extra style. I mostly wear them with leggings and joggers (because that’s what I live in), but I have worn them with jeans too. They do run big, so I would size down a half size. I also love that they’re made from recycled water bottles, as I’ve been trying to be a little more conscious with my purchases." —Abby Kass

Get it from Avre for $145.

    8. Essence's Lash Princess mascara for noticeable length that lasts all day without the flake. People will say its photoshopped, but it's all you.

    Emma Lord / BuzzFeed

"Hello, that is my face above, because I bought into the hype of over 35,000 positive reviews and now I will never look back!! Putting it on is like giving my eyelashes butterfly wings. It doesn't get clumpy, it stays put ALL the live long day (I spent all of this ridiculously hot pandemic summer wearing it, so I can speak to that), and you can apply it on very lightly if you don't want it to look so dramatic, or continue applying for longer lashes each time." —Emma Lord

Get it from Amazon for $4.99.

    9. A natural toothpaste made with Korean medicinal bamboo salt that'll keep your teeth in tip top shape without the harmful ingredients found in other toothpastes.

    The toothpaste

"I use this toothpaste! Traditional toothpastes have always activated my (TBH overeager) gag reflex so I decided to switch to something natural. This makes my teeth feel amazing and I stay gag-free, even when scrubbing my tongue." —Mal Mower

Get it from Ojook for $18.

    10. Amazon Fresh for people who love to eat but hate grocery shopping. Depending on your region, you can tell Amazon what to pick up from the grocery store and get it within two hours, all from your comfy spot on the couch.

    Marquaysa Battle / BuzzFeed

"First of all, Amazon Fresh has *aisles* to scroll through just like you would in the grocery store — except you can do it while laying in bed with your sleep shirt on, no socks, and no hustle to find a close park or physical cart in need of sanitizing. Clutch! Instead of completing my order with a handful of get-me-by items, I ended up buying enough groceries for a full two weeks. And I got free delivery within a two-hour window since my order was $35+! Everything was delivered in these super eco-friendly paper bags. Delivery was 100% contactless. The Amazon Fresh delivery person placed my bags neatly at my door, rang my bell, and then walked down the hall wayyy beyond 6 feet away to wait and make sure I had heard the bell. When I opened my door, they waved and thanked me for my business, and headed out. The experience was super seamless and pleasant." —Marquaysa Battle

    11. A Bartesian cocktail machine for that end-of-the-day bar quality cocktail without actually having to go to the bar. It's like the Nespresso of cocktails that reviewers say is totally worth the splurge.

    Hannah Loewentheil / BuzzFeed

"When I first caught wind of the Bartesian premium cocktail machine ($349.99 on Amazon), my first thought was does anyone actually need this gadget? But after trying it for myself, I can say the answer is a firm YES, and here's why. I love making cocktails at home, and while I'm no bartender, I feel very comfortable shaking a spicy margarita, stirring a negroni, or whipping up a Pisco sour. But making craft cocktails at home requires many (often expensive) ingredients, bar tools, time and effort. With the Bartesian though, you can make fancy drinks with the click of a button — literally. Once you turn the Bartesian on, it prompts you to insert a cocktail capsule. The smart gadget recognizes the cocktail you're trying to make and will ensure you've placed the proper spirit in the bottle (I know, it's mind-blowing). Next, it prompts you to choose your cocktail strength (there's even a mocktail option), and to place a glass with ice underneath the spout. Next, the Bartesian will start pouring your craft cocktail. The whole process takes about 20 seconds and it's all very exciting. With many bars closed and people quarantining or feeling hesitant about going out to eat, this gadget allows you to make professional-quality cocktails at home." —Hannah Loewentheil

Get it from Amazon for $349.99 or from Bed Bath and Beyond for $349.99.

    12. A FURemover broom to dig up all the hair and debris hiding deep down in the crevices of your carpets.

    Emma Lord / BuzzFeed

"I shed. A lot. And it gets lodged very deeply into my carpets — like, so deep the vacuum can't reach it. So deep that it traps *other* gross loose particles on the carpet and lodges them, too. Enter the FURemover Evriholder broom. Now *technically*, this hair-retrieving broom is for pet hair, and a ton of pet owners swear by it. That said, a lot of other hairy individuals such as me are swearing by it too. Weird and unexpected bonus? It even has a built-in squeegee edge if you really wanna get your money's worth and use it to clean spills on tile, concrete, and hardwood, or to wipe snow off your car. Anyway, if you're a human who sheds a lot, mayhaps this hair-retrieving broom in all its $12.98 glory will also shock, delight, and disgust you as it did me, so we can all go back to living our long-haired lives without making our vacuums cry." —Emma Lord

Get it from Amazon for $12.98.

    13. An SPF 41 mister made with 16 clean ingredients — including lavender oil, flower oil, and rosemary leaf oil — and can mist over your face for full sun protection without having to rub your face. No more goopy sunscreen hands.

    The SPF mister

"This spray has SPF 41 and features only 16 clean ingredients! To use it properly, close your eyes and mouth, pull back hair, hold the bottle about 10 inches from your face, and spray evenly over your face and neck (mist about seven times). Keep your eyes closed for three seconds while the mist settles. You don't need to rub it in! Plus, if you text Habit, they give you daily reminders to use SPF!

I've been using this every day and I love it! It's so convenient to just spray it on over your makeup or once you're ready instead of adding another layer of lotion to your face. It's non-greasy so it doesn't get you oily; it only gives your skin a pretty, dewy look. Plus, touchups are super easy since all I have to do is spray again and there's no worry of disturbing makeup. It's small enough that you can just throw it in your bag. And when I say it smells like a dream, I'm not kidding! Why didn't this exist before?" —Nusrat Sultana

Get it from Habit for $30.

On the left, a before picture of blond hair with split ends, on the right an after photo with noticeably better ends and more shine and smoothness
    Elena Garcia / BuzFeed

"I went from very dark brown/almost black Asian hair to platinum blonde, a color I've maintained for almost four years. I truly believe the only reason I still have hair on my head is because 1. my colorist is amazing and 2. Olaplex. Despite having pretty strong hair, I remember globs of it breaking off in the shower right after I bleached my mane. In a panic, I bought a bottle of Olaplex and my hair has been thanking me ever since. I hate how expensive a single small bottle is, but I truly can't be without this. It's reduced breakage and brittleness, minimized frizziness, and just generally helped my hair look healthy." —Melanie Aman

    16. A Dyson air purifier guaranteed to be worth the big bucks. This little baddie has truly been a lifesaver, ridding the air of pollutants and improving the air quality indoors.

    The Dyson air purifier
    Elena Garcia / BuzzFeed

"My husband suffered through what was honestly the scariest sickness of his life — COVID-19 — back in March and is still dealing with some of the side effects, mainly trouble with his breathing. He's OK now (for the most part). During his bout with COVID, not only could I not be at home with him to help but he was coping with what he described as his lungs giving up on him. His breathing was labored and painful, and it prevented him from being able to sleep at night. He still struggles and has this constant, short but deep, cough.

When the smoke and ash from the fires surrounding us started to really affect our air supply my husband felt it the worst. The weakness in his lungs was already there but the smoke triggered his labored breathing.

So when it came time to look for something to help us deal with both of those things, I wasn't here to play. I went with a brand I know, love, and that multiple people had recommended to us — Dyson. Specifically, the Dyson Pure Humidify + Cool. I don't want to be dramatic but I really think this thing is a cherry-flavored lifesaver and even my husband, who wouldn't spend a penny on anything if he could, said, "Wow. I really feel the difference." —Elena Garcia

Get it from Dyson for $799.99.

    17. A set of Cookie Monster magnatiles for a roundhouse of educational fun with some of Sesame Street's most notable characters. Children can learn to identify shapes, problem-solving with Elmo, Big Bird, Oscar and more.

"Boy, do we love us some Magnatiles around our home! The more thematic sets like these from Sesame Street (there's also an Elmo and a Big Bird) are a great introduction to the line for children under the age of 3. This Cookie Monster set in particular has some larger pieces, which makes it even easier for little hands to handle and build. 'M' is for Magnatile and they are indeed good enough for me (us)." —John Mihaly

Get it from Amazon for $39.95.

    18. A chore coat ready for your next virtual business meeting or a cozy corner for a little afternoon reading.

A model wearing the chore coat in the color ash
    Buck Mason

"I purchased this chore coat a few weeks ago and I can't say enough about it. I wanted something soft and cozy to wear while working from home in the tundra that is northern Michigan, but also wanted to feel a tad more sophisticated than the shorts and T-shirts I'd been sporting all summer. Now, I slip this on every morning over my pajamas and consider it my way of 'getting dressed' for work. Sometimes wool can irritate my neck and wrists, but this boiled merino is so incredibly soft and hasn't given me any skin irritation at all. The best way I can describe this chore coat is that it combines all the best things about your favorite warm sweater, the ease and simplicity of a cardigan, combined with the versatility of a neutral jacket. It's quickly become the centerpiece of my fall uniform." —Griffin Gonzales

Get it from Buck Mason for $225; available in sizes XS-XXL and six colors.

    19. A bag of Madagascar vanilla coffee because vanilla-flavored coffee is a yes every time.

The bag of Madagascar vanilla coffee
    Grounds and Hounds Coffee

"This brand combines two of my favorite things: dogs and coffee!! A portion of the sales gets donated to rescue initiatives for doggos who need a home (love it!! 🐶). So I just had to snatch up their seasonal Madagascar vanilla coffee flavor for my next cup of cold brew. This stuff smells like dessert heaven and has a nutty vanilla taste." —Jasmin Suknanan

Get it from Grounds and Hounds Coffee for $13.99.

    20. Daily Harvest scoops deliciously blended with nourishing ingredients without sacrificing the creamy, silky, smooth taste of ice cream.

    The Daily Harvest scoops

"Apparently, drinking a dragonfruit Vitamin Water in middle school was a pivotal moment for me because I haven't stopped thinking about the allusive spiny fruit since. While purchasing a whole fresh dragonfruit in the states continues to be an activity exclusively for the mega-rich (up there with big boats and horse sports), us commoners can settle for things simply made with it. A pint of Daily Harvest's dairy-free berry ice cream comes with organic dragonfruit, coconut, strawberry, and raspberry, and costs $8.99 — roughly the same cost as a plain ole' dragonfruit. (PS. if you're getting into Daily Harvest's ice cream, check out the Midnight Fudge flavor too, because it's unreasonably good.)" —Bek O'Connell

Get it from Daily Harvest starting at $5.99.

    21. A pack of carbonated cactus water for natural hydration without the caffeine or added sugar.

    The carbonated cactus water

"I think I finally found my go-to beverage to get me through the day! These Pricklee Superfruit Waters are made from prickly pears, come in three unique flavors, are low in calories and sugar but high in hydration. And they taste great! No carbonation, just water in a can. Best of all, they're helping me kick my at-home soda habit." —John Mihaly

Get it from Amazon for $34.95; available in three other flavors.

    22. A pack of ready to eat beans because you didn't meal prep like you said you would and instead binged through The Queen's Gambit. Now, you're hungry and don't feel like cooking. This is totally you. Throws those beans in the microwave, add a little rice, and you're good to go.

    The ready to eat beans

"The founder based his flavorful creations off his own Creole, Caribbean, and Latin kitchen. These are the ultimate in convenience. You only have to put the bag in the microwave for 60 seconds, which'll help you concentrate on the other parts of your meal. I love mixing the Trini Chickpea Curry with leftover rice for a super satisfying weekday lunch. The black beans are TO DIE FOR." —Elizabeth Lilly

Get it from Amazon for $24.99.

    23. A Magic Bullet for the blend-obsessed and coffee aficionados that need a kitchen gadget that'll make their morning routine that much smoother. Oh, and parents, it makes baby food, too. *mic drop*

    Harper Hendrickson / BuzzFeed

"This blender is the small but mighty LOML. It gleams with power, is compact but WILL put larger blenders to shame (those stainless steel blades are no joke), travel-friendly, and it comes apart nice and easy for quick cleaning and storage!

The Magic Bullet is also simple to use. It has a lock-in and twist-to-blend cup, with the blade at the top of the lid. This makes it easy to prep ready-to-blend smoothies for later when you are really on the go.

I lived in the California desert for a month while recovering from toxic mold exposure, and daily smoothies were (and still are) a big part of the recovery process for me. The Magic Bullet is versatile — it can chop, whip, mix, grind, and more! I also use my MB to make fresh hummus, sauces, and soups for dinner. Recovering from mold through diet is all about preparing and eating your own fresh food(s) from scratch, so this machine has been a huge time-saver for me and my partner. The Magic Bullet is speedy, convenient, powerful as heck, and you don't have to take my word for it. Reviewers swear by it for grinding coffee, saving money on baby food, making sauces, smoothies, and all sorts of other treats." —Harper Hendrickson

Get it from Amazon for $36.35 (originally $39.88).

    24. An accordion document organizer to help you keep track of all of your important paperwork from bills and receipts, to instruction manuals and recipes.

"I bought these for the purpose of organizing my loan and credit card bills and other docs that I definitely don't want to lose. There's not much to it since it's just your standard five-compartment folder, but at least now I know exactly where to find specific letters when I need 'em." —Jasmin Suknanan

Get it from Amazon for $7.99 (originally $9.99); available in 10 colors.

    25. A pack of space saver storage bags that'll give you back your closet and make more room in your suitcase when packing for travel.

Three space saver bags next to four stacked plastic containers to illustrate the difference in size showing how much space the bags can save as the stack of bags were significantly smaller than the stack of plastic bins

"Sooo, my closet is a mess. I admit it. And since I promised myself I'd do better, I decided to get these storage bags to see if they'll really give me a neat place to keep off-season clothes without taking up too much space in my room. I folded my clothes and stuffed them in the bag, careful not to fill the bag past the 'STOP' line since the instructions say you could risk re-inflating the bag if you do. I zipped up the bag and used the included vacuum pump to pump out the air, although you can also use a normal vacuum to do this. It took a few minutes, but I watched the bag deflate before my eyes. The flatter the bag becomes, the harder it should be to pump the air out. I stopped once it became really difficult to pull the handle on the pump and marveled at my work. I was pretty dang impressed, TBH. I didn't have any issues with the bag re-inflating and it's been two months so far. Yay for a cleaner closet!!!" —Colin Gorenstein

Get it from Amazon for $22.99; available in four sizes.

    26. Fragrance-free deodorant because your pits are sensitive but still deserve 24-hour odor protection.

    the deodorant

"You wouldn't believe how many fragrance-free brands I went through before I found one that works for me. Other brands had other additives/ingredients that irritated the heck out of my skin, cause a red rash, or simply did nothing to de-stinkify me. On super sweaty hot days, I've def had to give this brand a re-apply, but it still lasts longer and works way better than anything else I've tried!" —Harper Hendrickson

Get it from Amazon for $7.33; available in four flavors.

    27. A matte liquid lipstick that smells just as good as it looks, with a lightweight wear that leaves your lips silky smooth.

Nusrat Sultana / BuzzFeed,, Dear Dahlia / Via

It feels so extravagant, the shades are flattering, and they're long-lasting. The dahlia flower extract means they smell so good too (I need a perfume with this scent)! That's me above, wearing shades Delicate and Tender together!" —Nusrat Sultana

Get it from Dear Dahlia for $31.00; available in eight colors.
