How to find your own power!
Are you a sentinel of your business?What are you watching more? Is it important for you to control your employees ,to be seen as an unapproachable and powerfull person?The business will fail rapidly because the fear will affect the staff decisions.They will resign or will have time only to slander instead of manage the time properly. Are you obsessed to control the sales and to look for culprits?An obsession doesn't mean that you will accomplish the target.It disturbs the development of any company .The "culprits" will feel like prisoners in their workplace. Are you interested permanently in posting about your company and its results ? Don't suffocate the readers ,friends or followers.Engage in discussions about great work environments,leadership ,time management etc.You can share opinions but also learn to manage better! Are you convinced that your company can function without investing more money in technology ?The progress makes you to save money,time and attract best employees. .The young employees are so addicted and accustomed with new technology that will work to the best parameters. Are you permanently afraid of competition?Do you ask yourself million of questions about their strategies?Do you blame the lack of luck,the money you need,the location or the prestige? Stop!It is another story,another people,another thinking !Appreciate but not envy.This was not the reason when you started the business,to be afraid or disturbed by the competition.If it were so ,not even started the business.You bet your idea with courage and belief. Guard your business investing in people ,technology and mostly in you to have capacity to perceive beyond and understand your role in the other's life.
The first help that you offer to a new employee is to open your organization to his contribution.First day in the company is a hand on his shoulders. The first mistake the other colleagues make is to explain him the rules.It is rather a routine.All people of the organization can be so accustomed with these rules and consider that is mandatory to introduce the new employee in the core.Sometimes a fresh eye can disturb this and comes with new ideas.So as a owner you must take care and train people to create a open environment for learning ,asking and contributing . Starting from the interview when HR verifies the employee knowledge about the company culture ,you may be sure about his minimal informations ,after you must assign a mentor and encourage conversations . A new employee will understand the culture when will feel confortable to ask and to act .If will not understand it means that the company restricts the behavior and the culture is something imposed rather a worship. A new employee is for a very short time new .It is important that not only understand the culture of your organization but to apply and share.The culture has a strong base,is like a history .The past is wrote but the future is in the new employee' s hands .Depends on your ability to inspire from top to executives .If you take care of your business will be like sharing a secret recipe with your employees.And this entails confidence. In a world where people want to work without restraint it is very difficult to keep a culture. The international mobility ,the desire to create own businesses ,the fabulous IT knowledge of young people, must determine you to adapt the collective beliefs, values and attitudes through innovation and motivational procedures. Happy customers ,profitability ,productivity and creativity are results of a positive influence that you as a owner ,emanate .Be the first who learn how to improve the awareness and identity ,build human capital and enhance quality of life and the culture of your company will be understood and appreciated from the very beginning.
I can not forget a little episode from my professional path .It was when I managed a department of fifteen people in a big company. Apart of giving passion in what I was working and also seriousness and commitment I treated all my colleagues and the boss with all the respect and attention.But..... One day ,I was called by my boss into his office to ask me to solve some personal buyings.I remember very well the picture.I was dressed very elegant and professional with a black office dress with a open face to give my help.I entered the room and the owner was sitting well in his chair with his legs on the desk, without shoes.He was eating an apple ,speaking in the same time!He put me to take a box with 5 bottles of wines to change it for him at one provider of us.With the same smile I made this and not for I was afraid to lose my job as the others unfortunately feared ,because I respect and trust myself. I didn't be offended by this ,because it was not me in the ingrated situation but I only be discontented about the disrespect of a man for his business ,his employees,for himself and how can a business develop with such a leader! There was the time when I learned the following lessons: A demeaning work rise you in your eyes and actually can not be embarrassing if you love the work for learning something to evoluate. It is wonderful to understand in which environment you are working and to take decisions if this is not for your development ,instead of be afraid . To continue to respect myself and the others . To be a motivational leader and exchange positive experiences. To not generalize and not look for excuses for people that can not be changed. To have the same positive mind that can forgive !
