Yeah…none of this surprised me. I love how it’s cool to listen to the music you like, just as long as it isn’t country or whatever else was included. Comments like that make me roll my eyes. Ironically enough, if you’re really interested in songs you can relate to, it’s hard to beat country music. Unfortunately people (teens and adults alike) dismiss the genre without ever really listen to it. My best advice to anyone? Listen to songs from a bunch of different artists - at least 5 - in every genre you can think of. Especially genres that you’re not familar with. Actually get a good feel for the genre before you write it off. And the first point of this is all that matters: listen to what you genuinely like. Who cares what it is and don’t care about the people who don’t like it. You’re the one choosing to listen to it; doesn’t mean they have to.
Same here! I’ve somehow created quite a collection and I easily spend more days not wearing makeup than I do wearing it. Not sure how it happened!
Seriously I don’t understand why people get so defensive. They like to to clubbing and get hammered, that’s fine. But there’s nothing wrong with not being into that either. People like different things. Nothing wrong with that. I’ve never understood the appeal of going out and getting completely plastered. I just don’t. Plus I’m on a medication that can interact badly with alcohol so that’s another reason for me to avoid it. But I don’t see what my, or anyone’s, not drinking has to do with people who do. People who put others down over something like this are lame. I think it’d be boring if everyone liked all the same things anyway.
Agreed. Birdman was painful to watch.
