BuzzFeed Community is the home for awesome posts created by BuzzFeeders who have successfully been promoted by our team of editors. If you like to share humor, cool stuff you've found, insights into identity and fandom, personality and trivia quizzes, and the occasional ode to Taylor Swift, then this is the place for you! To become a part of BuzzFeed's Community, all you need to do is sign up for an account, make a post that you think would do well on BuzzFeed, and click "Suggest" to suggest your post to our Community editors.
If the post you suggest is good or fun or original or interesting or some glorious combination of those four things, our editors will feature it on the BuzzFeed Community page.
If you are an organization, a brand, or an individual with a political, commercial, or self-promotional agenda, BuzzFeed's Community platform is probably not the best place for you. To learn more, go here.

How do I create a quiz?Source: Jen Lewis / Via: buzzfeed.com
Quizzes are all the rage; they're super fun, addicting, and pretty easy to make! How the hell are you going to know which Harry Potter character you are if there's no BuzzFeed quiz to help you figure it out? If there's a quiz you'd like to see on the site, whether it's about your favorite show, something you love, or just about your group of friends, you can now create your own and post it! We have a whole post dedicated to making Polls, Trivia quizzes, Personality quizzes, and Checklist quizzes, so please refer to that for help!
What is Cat Power?Source: youtube.com / Via: buzzfeed.com
As you know, the internet is powered primarily by cats, so your Cat Power on BuzzFeed is an official measure of your rank in BuzzFeed's Community. The more you are featured and the better you get at making awesome posts, the higher your Cat Power will be, and with great Cat Power comes great Cat Responsibility, which, I don't know what that means, but it's fun to say.
When you first sign up for BuzzFeed, you will have one opportunity to suggest a post each day. After your first post is accepted, your Cat Power will go from 0 to 1, and over time, as more of your posts are accepted, your Cat Power will increase, giving you more opportunities to suggest posts for the Community page in addition to other cool perks and privileges.

I created a post and it's not showing up in the Just Launched section. Why?Source: Nat Geo / Via: natgeo-gifs.tumblr.com
The Just Launched section shows only content that has either been promoted by our Community team OR if you as a user have Cat Power. If your post gets promoted, or if you're given Cat Power, you will receive an email letting you know. If you don't get one within 24 hours, it's likely that the team passed on this post for now, but always keep trying! If you want advice on how to get promoted or feedback on your post, you can always contact us.
What is your policy on brands, organizations, political and self-promotional Community accounts?Source: NBC

You can learn more about our new guidelines for brands and Community accounts here. Please note that if you do post on behalf of a brand, organization, political/public figure, etc., your account will likely be removed.
