I am so sorry for your loss. My angel died in January after getting sick in November and it's very true that there is nothing like a dog. She was 7 when she passed away and you just have to focus on and remember the beautiful life they lived♡.

I've lived in Florida my whole life and seeing stories like this one no longer surprise me. A bunch of citizens (not only in FL) own pets that aren't exactly "suited" to domestication. Your comment reminded me of this picture :).
