i heard there was a "this will give me diabetes" joke on this show so i never watched it. sounds like the writers sucked in more ways than one with not only not understanding the character but also not understanding which jokes are ableist jokes.

ive never had the manager title, but i have been in a "lead" position with a "senior" title and have lead with empathy as well. it's the only way. we're all just trying, and no one is at fault for not being "perfect", whatever corporate means by that.
