    Schitt's Creek returns for its final season as the Rose family begins to contemplate their next steps, which includes the decision of whether or not to stay in Schitt's Creek. David and Patrick start to plan their wedding, Alexis's career is taking off, Johnny is dealing with the motel business, and Moira decides whether or not she wants to be in the spotlight again. Whatever happens this season, it's going to be emotional no matter what.

    2. The Good Place

    After the Season 4 midseason finale that focused on Chidi and Eleanor's relationship, The Good Place is about to return with its final five episodes. As Team Cockroach races to find a way to save humanity, there's sure to be a ton of twists and turns as we prepare to say goodbye.

    3. Sex Education


    Season 2 shows Otis moving on from Maeve and enjoying his relationship with Ola. Unlike Season 1, which showed Otis pining after Maeve, the roles are reversed this season. Also, Eric's new found self-confidence attracts some new attention at school. This season continues to be filled with heart and laughter, which is exactly why we fell in love with Sex Education in the first place.

    4. Outlander


    Based on Diana Gabaldon's The Fiery Cross, Season 5 will follow Jamie and Claire as they continue to make their home in America. With Jamie hiding his relationship with Murtagh after being ordered to kill him, and Claire continuing to use her modern knowledge to help people, family has never been more important than right now. Also, Brianna and Roger struggle to find their place in this new time as they build a family of their own.

    When it returns: Feb. 16 on Starz.

    5. Brooklyn Nine-Nine

    Brooklyn Nine-Nine returns with Season 7 and TBH it couldn't come soon enough. Picking up after Captain Holt was demoted to a crossing guard by Wuntch, the Nine-Nine will likely look a little different. Also, 2020 will bring us the return of the Jimmy Jab Games, and that's reason enough to be excited.

    6. Good Girls

    This amazing and underrated show is back with Season 3 and things have changed yet again. Picking up shortly after the events of Season 2, Beth has taken control and stations herself, Annie, and Ruby in great positions to aid their new criminal enterprise. Once again, this season leans on the incredible dynamics of Christina Hendricks, Retta, and Mae Whitman, and it's amazing.

    7. Grace and Frankie

    Everyone's favorite BFFs are back for their penultimate season and it's going to be a wild ride. Season 6 picks up after Grace and Nick got married and now, Frankie is worried that her relationship with Grace is changing forever.

    8. Shrill

    Allyson Riggs / Hulu

    The criminally underrated series returns with Annie finding herself in a very good place after confronting her own demons, her mom, her boss, and her troll. However, Annie quickly realizes that quitting her job was a hasty decision. Soon, she learns that all of the problems she conquered might still need some attention.

    When it returns: Jan. 24 on Hulu.

    9. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

    Chilling Adventures of Sabrina returns with Part 3 and picks up with Sabrina dealing with the ramifications of defeating Lucifer and Nicholas Scratch going to hell under the watchful eye of Madam Satan. So with an assist from Harvey, Rosalind, and Theo, Sabrina will stop at nothing to free Nick.

    When it returns: Jan. 24 on Netflix.

    10. BoJack Horseman


    So many great shows are ending in 2020 and BoJack Horseman is sadly one of them. The final episodes will pick up after Hollyhock questioned Peter about who the bad guy is after learning Maddy's story. There's no doubt that these last episodes will be gut-wrenching, heartfelt, and hilarious as BoJack goes out on a high note.

    11. The Magicians


    Following the tragic loss of Quentin in the Season 4 finale, Julia, Alice, Eliot, Margo, Kady, Fen, Josh, and Penny must learn to navigate the world without him. However, after they returned magic to the world, there's now too much of it and as the excess builds, an apocalypse looms.

    When it returns: Jan. 15 on Syfy.

    12. Cable Girls/Las Chicas del Cable


    Cable Girls/Las Chicas del Cable is back with Part 1 of its final season this winter. The new season will pick up after the girls went their separate ways. Lidia teased that years later Ángeles's daughter would bring them all back together, and the Spanish Civil War would be their toughest challenge yet. It looks like we'll finally see what she meant.

    13. Star Wars: The Clone Wars

    The final episodes of this beloved series will pick up where it left off after it was cancelled in 2014. While little is confirmed about the new season, it will cover the Siege of Mandalore, one of the final battles of the Clone Wars. It will also explore several storylines that ended abruptly in the expanded Star Wars universe.

    14. Doctor Who

    BBC America

    Jodie Whittaker's second season as The Doctor is already off to an incredible start by bringing back an iconic foe for her and her companions to go up against. This season will balance the brilliant social commentary it was so good at last season with more monsters and adventures. Once again, Doctor Who has reinvented itself in all the best ways.

    When it returned: Jan. 1 on BBC America.

    How to catch up: You can purchase Doctor Who on Amazon Prime and it will be available to stream again when HBO Max launches in the spring. You can also watch Season 12 episodes on BBC America.

    15. Roswell, New Mexico

    The CW

    Roswell, New Mexico will come back in a big way with its Season 2 premiere and hopefully we'll get some answers after Max did everything in his power to reunite Liz and Rosa. Also, Season 2 will continue to explore Michael's family and his relationships with both Alex and Maria, and Isobel will likely be struggling with the fall out regarding what happened to Noah.

    When it returns: March 16 on The CW.

    16. Arrow

    The CW

    Arrow will end its eight-season run this winter with just three more episodes. The first episode back with Part 4 of "Crisis on Infinite Earths," as our heroes continue the quest to stop the Anti-Monitor from destroying the multiverse. After wrapping the crossover, we'll also get the backdoor pilot for the Green Arrow & The Canaries spinoff series and then the series finale. Also, with Oliver dead and being forced to become something else entirely, these last few episodes are sure to be one hell of a ride.

    When it returns: Jan. 14 on The CW.

    17. Legends of Tomorrow

    Legends of Tomorrow makes its long-awaited return with the conclusion of the epic five-part crossover, "Crisis on Infinite Earths." After the crossover, Legends of Tomorrow officially kicks off and we will see Astra Logue, one of John Constantine's greatest enemies, face off against the Legends. Also, Season 5 will sadly include the final series regular appearances for both Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford as Ray Palmer and Nora Darhk.

    When it returns: Jan. 14 on The CW.

    18. This Is Us

    This Is Us reinvented itself during the Season 4 midseason finale and we're hooked once again. We'll begin to see the early stages of Rebecca struggling with memory loss and how it will affect everyone. There's also Kate and Toby's marital struggles and the ever looming future timeline that shows Kevin and Randall not speaking and Kevin expecting his first child.

    When it returns: Jan. 14 on NBC.

    19. Curb Your Enthusiasm


    With nearly three years between seasons, Curb Your Enthusiasm returns with a monumental tenth season. Larry David is back and the new season features not only returning favorites but also a whole new batch of guest stars from Jon Hamm to Laverne Cox.

    20. Homeland


    After being delayed a few times, Homeland will finally come back with its eighth and final season. The new season will pick up with Carrie recovering from months of confinement in a Russian gulag. Carrie's memory not what it used to be becomes a problem for Saul, who has been tasked by President Warner to end the "forever war" in Afghanistan.

    21. Kidding


    This underrated and absolutely brilliant series will finally return with Season 2 this winter. The new season will continue to follow Jim Carrey's Mr. Pickles as he teaches children through his show Mr. Pickles' Puppet Time. Also Ariana Grande will be making a small appearance during Season 2.

    22. Better Call Saul

    Better Call Saul continues to inch closer to the Saul Goodman we met in Breaking Bad. After finally being able to practice law again, Jimmy is now going by Saul and decides to take charge of his own fate. Of course, Jimmy's decision to change his name will effect everything, including his partner Kim Wexler.

    When it returns: Feb. 23 on AMC.

    23. Grown-ish


    Grown-ish returns with Zoey entering her junior year of college. Following a summer internship and kissing Aaron before she left, Zoey will definitely have a lot to figure out, especially when it comes to her relationship with Luca. Also, someone is five months pregnant when the season picks up.

    24. Will & Grace

    The Will & Grace revival will come to an end in 2020, but not without pulling out all the stops for the show's second round of final episodes. In the next half of the final season, Demi Lovato will guest star as a potential surrogate for Will.

    25. The Sinner

Jamie Burns, a resident and soon-to-be father, ends up turning to Ambrose for support. The new season adds Matt Bomer to the cast as Jamie.

    26. Narcos: Mexico


    Diego Luna returns in Season 2. The new season continues to follow cartel boss Miguel Gallardo as he deals with keeping his friends close and his enemies even closer.
