🚨 Warning: MAJOR spoilers from Season 4, Episode 9 of The Good Place. 🚨
The Good Place is one of those rare shows where I can easily go from laughing to crying hysterically in record time, and this week's fall finale cause me to do exactly that.
"The Answer" focused on the mere seconds between Michael snapping his fingers and Chidi waking up and remembering everything.
In that time, we got to see tiny Chidi give his first ever lecture about why his parents shouldn't get divorced.
And how Chidi spent his time asking those closest to him some tough questions, like when he asked Jason how he knew that Janet was the one.
But, the most heartwarming moments were between Chidi and Eleanor as we saw more of their love story, like one of their first kisses.
It all led up to the moment before Chidi had his memories erased during the Season 3 finale.
We learned that after he left Eleanor, Chidi actually asked Michael about soul mates.
After their conversation, he had Janet keep a note so that when he inevitably woke up he would remember something very important.
Well, it turns out he wanted to remember that there isn't one correct answer to life's greatest questions, but Eleanor is THE answer he's been searching for.
Also, Chidi writing a note to remember Eleanor mirrored when Eleanor did the same thing during the Season 1 finale.
Honestly, I'm weeping just thinking about it.

I don’t care who you are or what your opinion is; there will never be any couple in any show that will top chidi and Eleanor. Nor will there ever be a moment that has me ugly crying like this. The good place wins. I can’t believe I have to wait so long for another episode.
