Florence Pugh Joined The SAG-AFTRA And WGA Strikes Picket Line Yesterday, And Her Sign Was Perfect

Florence Pugh joined writers and her fellow actors outside of Disney Studios a month into the SAG-AFTRA strike and more than 100 days since the WGA strike started.

As of today, we are 33 days into the SAG-AFTRA strike and over 100 days into the WGA strike after contracts weren't reached with AMPTP. This marks the first time both actors and writers have been on strike at the same time since 1960.

As a result of both strikes, Hollywood is largely on pause with productions halting until fair contracts are reached for both unions, with writers and actors joining picket lines across the US.

So many celebs have showed up on picket lines in both NYC and LA in support of both unions...

...while others, like Dwayne Johnson, have also donated to various foundations in support of actors and writers who are currently on strike.

One actor who recently joined writers and her fellow actors on the picket line is Florence Pugh, and people could not get enough.

She joined the picket line a month after she and the rest of the Oppenheimer cast walked out of their London premiere when the SAG-AFTRA strike was officially called after they walked the red carpet.

Florence showed her solidarity yesterday while holding a sign that read, "Grrrrrrr!!! This is BULLSHIT!"

And she shared her view on the picket line to her Instagram story, too.

She was spotted alongside actor Kate Berlant outside of Disney Studios in Burbank, and stopped to take photos with both writers and actors who were on the picket line as well.

Thank you to @Florence_Pugh and @kateberlant for coming out today to walk the picket line at Disney today. Both so kind and lovely, walking the picket line for their union and supporting both actors and writers on Day 106 and Day 34. Amazing women! pic.twitter.com/9mNMUlGvA6

Here she is with That '90s Show stars Callie Haverda, Sam Morelos, and Max Donovan, who were also picketing outside of Disney.

Florence joining the SAG-AFTRA and WGA picket lines, specifically outside of Disney Studios, is also significant.

Florence will notably reprise her role as Yelena Belova in the upcoming Marvel film Thunderbolts, making her one of the faces of the MCU, aka a huge Disney property, moving forward.

Filming on Thunderbolts was supposed to start production in May 2023, but was halted because of the WGA strike and now has been further delayed because of the SAG-AFTRA strike, with no agreements being reached for both unions.

Also, Florence attending the Disney picket line comes following rumors that she is reportedly Disney's "top choice" to play Rapunzel in the rumored live-action adaptation of Tangled.
