This year, Google compiled its data to see which top trending search results had the highest spike in traffic over a sustained period in 2015 as compared to 2014. Here's what they found:

10. Straight Outta Compton

Paras Griffin

The biographical film about NWA, the iconic hip hop group from Compton, was released in August.

9. Fallout 4

In November, the Fallout 4 video game was released.

8. Chris Kyle

Time / Via

Chris Kyle, who died in 2013, was a Navy SEAL who wrote an autobiography titled American Sniper. The book was turned into the 2014 film, directed by Clint Eastwood.


This mobile and computer game was released in April and quickly became one of the most popular games on the internet.

6. Paris

In January and November of this year, Paris, France, was the site of terrorist attacks.

5. Ronda Rousey
