If You've Ever Wanted To Be On "Let's Make A Deal", Here's What It's Actually Like

    There's a LOT of dancing.

Hi, we're Krista and Asia, and we love going around LA to see new things the city has to offer (mostly things that involve food...or drinks 😉).

But one thing we hadn't tried yet is going to the set of an actual game show. So, when we heard Let's Make A Deal is celebrating its 10th season and films in our area, we were like:

Anyone can come be in the show's audience (and potentially get chosen to play) FOR FREE.

Of course, for Let's Make A Deal, you'll have to dress-up in a costume — and the more creative, the better!

But if you don't have a costume, there is a costume and accessories shop on set where you can borrow one for the taping — which is what we did.

Then each audience member (typically 200 per show) goes through a short individual interview to gauge if they would be a good contestant for the show. They love high-energy peeps so be ready to cheer, wave your arms and freak out!

Also, bonus points if you have a special talent to share. But be prepared to prove it on camera!

After the audience is seated inside the soundstage, there is a short presentation of the rules, and then it's time to play!

But not before you get a chance to check out the costumes of your fellow audience mates — these people went ALL OUT!

And, of course, to get you pumped up to play, there's a LOT of dancing!

We can't tell you what happened during the specific episode we taped because it hasn't aired yet, but we can tell you that there was winning, zonking, and lots of genius improv by one Mr. Wayne Brady.

We got a chance to chat with the host and five-time Emmy winner afterwards — and he's just as charismatic as he comes across on the screen.

Brady has been the host of the show since the updated version premiered in 2009, and he told BuzzFeed that he's well aware what a lucky man he is.

Brady told BuzzFeed that even after taping ten seasons of three-show days, it never gets old.

And when asked what his favorite memory of his last ten seasons as the show's host are, Brady told BuzzFeed that it's always the people.

If you're in the L.A. area and you get a chance to attend a taping of Let's Make a Deal, take it — whether you get called up to play or not, it's a seriously good time.
