Pancakes with nothing on them (no butter, margarine, syrup, etc.). When I can’t keep anything down and I’m in the middle of an awful flare, this is one of the only things I can handle. Well that, and rice.

Yikes, we don’t get the insurance fees added to our stipends either. Or the “graduate student fees” totaling near $1000. It’s looking more and more like this is a universal thing. Grad students get shafted in the worst possible ways.

Thank you for the advice. Symptoms like this (and worse) have been going on for over 10 years and all doctors like to do is throw their hands in the air and say “yeah who knows it’s prolly IBS”. I’m at wit’s end.
