My husband loves 'hot' foods and even grows his own peppers to put on anything. He really likes this on his French toast and I like it with peanut butter. The flow-rate through the LifeStraw is a little reminiscent of drinking a really thick milkshake, which is understandable considering the filter basically gets everything. When I filled up my Nalgene with water from the stream, I could see the sediment start to settle; I even made sure to get some with the straw just to see. Worked like a charm. Promising review: "These work wonderfully! I originally purchased them because I was cooking for a group of 100+ on a trip. We made about 40 lbs of shredded chicken thighs. Having made the same meal about a year prior, and spending a couple of hours shredding chicken with two kitchen forks, we knew there had to be an easier way! Using these shredding claws, we shredded 40 lbs of thighs in about 45 minutes. There were two of us and we kept swapping, because shredding still hurts your back/shoulders. But these claws are so sharp and useful that it took less than half the time! I've since used them to make shredded pork at home and they also work wonderfully for that!" —H. L. Kern

If you want a real effective exfoliating soap, I would give this a try. Some of the other 'scented' soaps smell like a bottle of Old Spice was dumped into the soap. Also, the price for a 7 oz. bar is about 40% less than other brands. Good price, great soap." —Saul F

I thought there was just no way it could deliver perfectly popped and delicious popcorn from the microwave. I figured I would give it a try for myself since the price was very reasonable. I was shocked at how well this thing actually works. I just dump a half cup of popcorn into it without any oil at all, throw it in the microwave for a few minutes, and presto! I have perfectly popped and delicious popcorn. I would point out that you need to be very careful about not letting it pop for too long though. I've found that if you leave it cooking for even a few seconds too long, it will very quickly start to burn the popcorn." —Master Obi Wan

I actually dropped this one and submerged it underwater accidentally, but we've used it four times since. It didn't phase it. I LOVE IT!! It's very loud and the acoustics are great! It's so easy to connect, and it has a bag to keep it in. I've spent seven times as much on others that weren't nearly as good!!! I give 10 stars!!! Update: two months later, it still works great after being dropped and splashed in the river several times, after eight-mile trips down the river, tubing, and biking...and we can use it for two days without recharging before the battery dies. Promising review: "These cards are awesome! I looked at several types of gold foil cards and decided on this set because of the good reviews and simple-but-beautiful design. They were a Christmas gift for my husband to go with his poker set and he loves them! He collects unique decks of cards and he was totally impressed by these. We like the feel and look of the cards, they’re very eye-catching. They’re made very well and seem durable. Five stars from us :)." —Rani Mierky

    44. A ticket stub diary to give him a clever way to store all of his tickets from past sporting events, concerts, or movies. This will be so much nicer than the random drawer or box he's been keeping them in.

Promising review: "I've bought two of these books as gifts and one for myself. The pages are sturdy and there are a lot of size options for your ticket stubs. The first 10 or so pages are for normal-size tickets, then they get bigger towards the back. Also there's a big picket in the back cover that acts as a catch-all, which is so handy!" —Lstope426

My BuzzFeed Shopping colleague Kayla Suazo said:

"My first observation after opening the box was the smell. It smells FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC. It also comes with sweet postcards from the cities where the batches are from, so the entire experience feels so lovely and personal. As for the coffee itself, it's heavenly. I am used to store-bought coffee — which yes, is fine — but both of these tasted incredibly fresh and different from each other. The Peruvian coffee has this dark, almost chocolate taste to it, so I imagine it would be delicious with a morning sweet treat (maybe I should start eating pie every day?). The Colombian batch, on the other hand, was a little lighter roast-wise but still had delicious notes of rich sweetness. TL;DR: both of them were incredible both in taste and quality."

Promising review: "Great color, kept me warm in Iceland from hiking windy cliffs to glacier caves to late-night Aurora Borealis hunting. Became my go-to beanie for its comfort and cute-factor. My skin is sensitive and doesn't do well with wool — this is soft and comfortable. It even stayed pretty dry around water spray." —Krystal Carden

model wearing the band with screws and bits sticking to it as he holds a drill

Promising review: "My husband always puts screws in his mouth and it drives me crazy so I bought this for him for Christmas and he used it for a project where he had to hold little screws and it worked perfectly! Ever done a project where you dropped a screw and can’t find it or it fell down a crack and have to figure out how to get it out? We most definitely have. I am excited that that will be no more! My husband was impressed with the magnetic strength and the side pocket. Worked like a charm." —JandD
