35 Products With Results That Might Just Make You Gasp Aloud

*Sharp intake of breath at the sight of how much earwax was clogging your AirPods*

    1. A trio of power scrubber brushes you can attach your drill and instantly create a super-powered deep-cleaning device. Just make sure you don't walk right into your now-so-clean-you-can-hardly-tell-its-there shower door!

A drill with a yellow bristled brush attached to the end of it
    reviewer's sink stained then clean

These are from a New York-based small business!

Promising review: "These brushes are freaking fantastic. I tried them on a portion of my shower and bathroom floor tiles and grout. I immediately had to do the rest because it made the cleaner sections look dirty. I also tried it on the side of my fridge that is next to my stove top. It did a pretty good job there as well at removing grease and stains. The only downside is that it made me enjoy cleaning!" —Eric T. Ma

Get it from Amazon for $17.99+ (available in six colors, each with a different stiffness/purpose).

    2. Miraculous Folex instant carpet spot remover, which also works on upholstery to make stains do a Houdini-level vanishing act — just peep this reviewer's ketchup stain pics!!! Plus, it's odor free for scentsitive folks.

carpet with entire bottle of ketchup spilled on it
    the carpet clean

Promising review: "Can I give it 10 stars? I'm really disappointed I lived without this product for so long. However, I have an overpriced wool carpet that my dogs have destroyed with accidents, bully sticks, and just general recklessness. I gave up on this rug ever being clean again. I've had it professionally cleaned and tried a dozen things myself...and no difference. And so I thought I'd try this assuming that it wouldn't work on the stain-determined rug but that'd I use it on my less tenacious ones. I sprayed it on, reading the instructions saying that I didn't need to scrub it, etc. And minutes later, freaking magic. My very pale-blue-and-white rug is virginal. I admit that I did rub it in a little on the harsher stains/discoloration, but there were plenty of areas that didn't require any follow up rubbing. I'm sincerely blown away and just ordered a second bottle. The price of this product is minimal if you're looking to make your rug/carpet like new again, so I would absolutely recommend trying it. I don't think I've ever been this impressed with anything I've ever purchased. I feel cheated for not knowing about this sooner." —bubbleslovesoap

Get it from Amazon for $6.65.

    3. Amazing AirPod-cleaning putty squares, because you probably don't realize just how much gunk is lurking in those precious, expensive little buds you put in your waxy ears all day. Though when I put it like that, it's probably a lot, right??

Promising review: "AirSquares are AMAZING! I’ve tried for years to clean out my AirPods. Nothing has worked...until now. This is one of those perfect products that does exactly what it claims to do. My AirPods were so dirty that I was going to buy new ones. Not anymore!! My AirPods look like new after using these. I’ve already sent some to my family and everyone is getting some for the holidays! If you have dirty AirPods, you NEED AirSquares. You will NOT regret it." —Jason F

    4. An wowworthy exfoliating mitt you can use after a long shower or bath soak to get a simultaneously luxurious and kinda gross (but in a satisfying way!!!) exfoliation experience that'll leave you feeling like a whole new person.

Take it from the user below, who left one of the best and funniest reviews I've read in a while 😂.

Promising review: "Let me start by saying, I never knew that I was a walking, living, breathing mummy zombie lady. The first time I used this glove, I soaked in the bath to get my skin nice and prepped. I whipped that thing out expecting a bit of skin to fluff off, but what ensued was 30 minutes straight of scrubbing skin off that had built up since I was a toddler. I swore at one point I found old Band-Aid goo that had been buried under years of dead skin. OK, maybe that's not true, but with the amount of dead skin that came off my body, it could have been! I finally finished removing my snake skin and began draining the bathtub. What was left was like a scene from a horror movie. The entire bottom of the bathtub couldn't be seen because of the numerous chunks of dead skin clinging to it. That's not counting what went down the drain. I can only imagine that the creatures down there will one day rise to hunt me down and eat me because they gained an affinity for the taste of my flesh. I had to take an extra 15 minutes to clean my bathtub due to the gray, zombie skin that refused to be rinsed away. In other words, if you don't want to be a mummy, zombie person, this glove is your ticket to the living realm. Buy the glove, join the living — thank me later." —Shannon Graham

    5. Pumie Toilet Bowl Ring Remover, aka a pumice stone with a handy handle sure to produce results that'll bowl you over, even if your toilet is looking so nasty the Love Is Blind producers would film a close-up on it if you were on the show....

It's great for hard water marks in the tub, too!

Promising review: "We rented a home and the toilets were disgusting. The picture above is after just five minutes with the stone. I had tried bleach, every toilet bowl cleaner available, and countless hours of scrubbing to no avail, but this stone worked instantly! I will be buying several more! The stone does dissolve when scrubbing so you need a couple. I was able to completely do almost two toilets that looked awful with one stone!" —CristaCross

Get it from Amazon for $11.55.

    6. Washable microfiber mop pads that'll fit on your trusty Swiffer WetJet or similar mops so you can kick wasteful and pricey disposable pads to the curb. You'll be shocked — and perhaps horrified — by how much more ick they can pick up than the mop heads you have been using.

One pad can last up to 100 washes and works on pretty much any surface, from wood to tile to stone.

Promising review: "I wanted to reduce waste with disposable pads and I was pleasantly surprised by these. This photo was AFTER I cleaned the floor with the disposable pad! I was able to get a super clean floor, spots were easier to clean up, and it didn’t sound like it was scratching my floors. This was easy to use, didn’t use more cleaner then the disposable pads, and got my floor cleaner. Definitely gonna but more if the two I got ever wear out." —Riley

    7. Baby Foot, an absolutely amazing lavender-scented foot peel to make old and dead skin peel off like wild and basically make it look like you got whole new feet.

This product is a dream come true for anyone who gets a kind of sick satisfaction from peeling off dead skin (and let's face it, that's all of us, right?).

Promising review: "This mask comes with two baggies, and you place each of your feet into its own bag and tape it up to avoid leaking. The moment you put them on, the jelly-type liquid travels all over your feet and in between your toes, and it's the most relaxing feeling ever. You can feel your skin drinking in the moisture and nutrients. While you do not see results right away, your feet will smell amazing for a whole day after the treatment. After six or seven days, all the dead, dry skin starts falling off, and your feet really do feel baby soft. I never thought I had dry feet, but oh boy, was I wrong!" —Melvika

    8. Or a giant foot file for an even faster way to get those crusty tootsies ready for their close-up.

A reviewer's heel looking dirty and deeply cracked
The same reviewer's heel looking much cleaner and mostly smooth, with only a few small cracks left

This miracle worker has got over 6,000 5-star ratings!

Promising review: "This thing is pretty amazing. I was skeptical for sure, since I've tried all kinds of lotions, balms, and stone-based products, none of which helped my heels whatsoever. I've worn socks to bed for years, because if I don't the sheets hardly last a week before they have holes rubbed through them. My wife ordered this thing that looks like a mini cheese grater, LOL, and after two minutes — two minutes!! — of rubbing it on my heel, it's a complete 180. I never would've believed it until I tried it myself. This is well worth double what it costs." —LBK

Get it from Amazon for $10.99.

    9. A 20-pack of multisurface eraser sponges that may not be the name brand, but do not mess around when it comes to messes. Like in the pics below, I imagine the sponge saying (if sponges could talk, that is) "Ha! You call yourself PERMANENT marker? We'll see about that."

A reviewer holding the sponge up in front of a table covered in permanent marker scribbles
The same table with the scribbles totally gone

Promising review: "Got kids or a messy spouse? You need these! I go through a lot of Mr. Clean erasers, so much that it was easier to cut them in half first because the centers are always the first to go. Then when I found this magnificent pack, I had to try it and I'm glad I did. They are smaller and fit my hand better but also thicker. They seem to work better with less effort which is awesome! Worked great on a Crystal Light counter stain, a bathroom rust ring, a drain circle, and scuff marks on sinks, crayons on walls, Sharpie on binder, a ring around the door knob from greasy mechanic hands on my new unpainted white door, and even the spot high up on the wall next to the toilet where one would lean his hand because it might get out of control if he doesn't have that extra stability? Anyway you get the point; they are awesome." —Sherry

Promising review: "I couldn't believe how clean it got our oven in just a few scrubs with this stuff! It looks brand-new!" —Philip Romanowski

    11. A stainless steel tongue scraper, aka the oral hygiene gadget you never knew you needed. Buh-bye, bad breath and aftertastes, I won't miss you. Also, let me just say that I have a very strong stomach for before and after photos...but this one got me.

reviewer's tongue covered in nasty grayish buildup
    reviewer's tongue clean

Promising review: "I was not ready for what was about to happen to me. I rushed to the bathroom to try out my new tongue scraper while my wife was shaking her head saying we have that on the back of our toothbrushes. I yelled 'No this is different!' Then she came into the bathroom to watch what I was about to do to my tongue. I made my first pass and about fainted with what came off of my 'clean' tongue. Been using for about 1.5 weeks now daily after I brush. LOVE it! Wife loves it now as well! So glad it came with two because if I had to choose..." —Luv2train

    12. A ~handy~ grooming glove over 17,000 pet owners swear by for giving their tiny shed monster a groom they'll actually enjoy — and saving themselves from a house full of hair.

The grooming glove with silicone nodules, full of hair held in front of a French bulldog
cat next to glove full of hair
    AnaMaria Glavan / BuzzFeed, www.amazon.com

Former BuzzFeed Shopping editor AnaMaria Glavan swears by this thing. She says, "The glove is super comfortable and using it couldn’t be more foolproof: just put it on and run your hands through your pet’s fur. That’s it! The silicone grooves pick up so much fur with ease. Like, my dog looks close to hairless. HOW is he shedding so much!?!? After a few runs, I found that I would have to remove fur from the glove before continuing (you can pick up the fur with your other hand or run the glove under some water — either works) but it’s no biggie. The silicone actually makes it really easy to keep this clean. We got Rockie when he was 5 and he’d been riddled with skin issues and allergies, so I was pretty nervous to use anything that could potentially aggravate his conditions. However! Not only does this *not* bother his skin, but he…loves this. A lot. He starts snoring after exactly two run-throughs on his back. Also, his coat looks SO shiny after each use! TL;DR: this is one of those inexpensive add-ons that any pet owner should have on hand."

Promising review: "The cats are in heaven!!! We have four cats and bought this to try to cut down on shedding and hairballs. After having it for just a week, we never want to be without it. Even our anti-social cat comes up and begs for a pet when the glove comes out. The only thing that is not perfect on this glove is that I have smaller hands, and the glove is a little big, so my pinky doesn't stay where it should. But hey, if that's the only downside, we aren't going to complain. Long story short, if you love your pets, you will buy this glove as soon as possible." —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "I LOVE makeup. Specifically, eye makeup. Love a good cat eye and layering eyeshadow. I've always had to bleach my towels to get the remnants of my mascara and eyeliner off. I hate every eye makeup remover that I've tried because it either stings or makes my eyelids oily (y tho?). This thing has seriously changed things for me. It gets my makeup COMPLETELY off in less than one minute without harsh scrubbing. I no longer have to buy any kind of cotton balls or cotton pads that will end up in a landfill. I can actually buy new towels and demote the stained ones to cleaning towels. My skin is clearer because it is makeup-free before I wash it and my eyes no longer burn! GETTTT ITTTT." —Cori A.

It seriously made me realize that I ring I inherited from a family member 15 years ago was a completely different color than I thought it was. In the 15 years I've had this ring, I've never seen the actual color of the stone! My mind was blown! I'll have one of these on hand for the rest of my life." —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "I read about this in a BuzzFeed article, read the reviews, and looked at the images posted by reviewers. I figured why not. Our house is about 20 years old and things are starting to just look worn. Add kids and a dog to the house and you have plenty of scratched up or water-stained wood. This is magic in a bottle! The wood was trashed, but now it looks brand-new." —ByteMe

    16. snaking tool to free your drain of all the hair that's lurking in there. Remember that strong stomach for before and afters I said I had? People, we have found my limit.

clean tool about to go down reviewer's drain
tool covered in clumps of hair from drain

Promising review: "Works so well I might not eat for days. I live in an apartment complex and the maintenance people are pretty strict about not using drain cleaning chemicals but rather calling them to unclog a slow-draining bathtub or sink. However, I have pretty long hair and I'm certain that the maintenance people don't get paid well enough to go up against the horror that's been building up in my bathtub drain over the past several years. When I got the Vastar snake drain cleaner I went straight to work. No instructions needed, the concept is pretty simple: You grasp the tool with the end that's a handle, push the pointy end down the drain, and the jagged part catches on the nest of hair that's swirled its way around your plumbing. I didn't even get the thing 3 inches down before it was getting stuck on clumps of hair and built-up gunk. I gagged my way through getting all nausea-inducing blockage lurking in my bathtub's drainpipe. It's now clear to me why this is a three-pack...there was simply no way I was going to be cleaning off the plastic tool and reusing it. Very happy with this product, glad it comes in a pack." —K.

    17. An incredible natural stain remover that refuses to half-ass its tasks. It won't settle for just preventing a stain from being noticeable — it'll make you question whether the stain was ever really there to begin with. Whether it's food, dirt, or bodily fluids, this stuff is up to the task, so feel free to live your best messy life.

stained shirt with product on it
    kid in clean shirt

Promising review: "My son came home from daycare with dark red/purple stains on his clothing. They had hours to set into the fabric. We sprayed Puracy on the stains (see picture of them soaking) and let it sit overnight. The next morning we washed the shirt as usual. The next picture is my son wearing the shirt…stains 100% gone. I am in disbelief. This product is amazing!" —Will

    18. A paws-itively amazing rubber pet hair broom with a built-in squeegee designed to sweep up all that shedding (and even liquids!) like no other. It's def a must for anyone who ever has to clean up after their pet, but can be used on non-fur baby-related spills too.

Two Golden Retrievers posing next to the broom and a pile of hair about as big as one of them
A dog next to the broom, a cheeky sign, and a pile of hair about the size of a sheet of paper

Since it's basically a giant squeegee, you can even use it on cars and windows! And yes, it also works for cleaning up after humans who shed hair like nobody's business (same). BuzzFeed Shopping editor Emma Lord raves about it for that purpose in her Furemover broom review.

(Psst...if you're wondering, the sign next to the pooch on the right reads "This is our new carpet broom. THIS is who is evicted from our bedroom. This is the gross ball of hair collected from our carpet.")

Promising review: "LIFE CHANGER. We have two very floofy cats and I have long, thick hair, so needless to say there is a lot of shedding in our house. I could tell our vacuum wasn't quite doing the trick and I happened to stumble upon this item that looked to be the solution. WOW. First of all, it's a bit of a workout if you've got a medium-pile carpet like I do. I use short, firm strokes with the squeegee side and it pulls the hair up instantly. It's tedious work to do a whole room, but the satisfaction you get when you see all the hair makes it so worth it. Then you'll do a second pass in high-traffic areas and see how much MORE hair there is and wonder how you ever lived like that. Once you've got a nice pile, you can pick the clump of fur up by hand. I like to give it a quick vacuum after to get the dust and dirt that comes up. I haven't used it on our laminate flooring, but I'm sure that will blow me away too. This item is a complete must-have for anyone who owns a furry pet. This broom will absolutely outshine any expensive 'pet-rated' vacuum cleaner out there." —Leanna G

    19. Salicylic acid wart-removing adhesive bandages for anyone who's tried everything to get rid of a stubborn wart. These miracle workers are discreet enough to look like they're just covering up a paper cut or scratch, but will *finally* give you some relief.

Promising review: "More than six years with a large, sometimes painful plantar wart on the bottom of my foot. The doctor tried freezing, I tried apple cider vinegar, aspirin, and freezing at home, over and over again...nothing worked. Never showing the bottom of my feet, refusing to get a pedicure with the girls and so, so embarrassed. It felt like I was doomed to have it forever; it was resistant to everything. Literally six years of fighting it and on a whim tried these because of the good reviews. ONE APPLICATION. I wore the bandage overnight. I didn’t think it did anything, but a few days later the wart just came off. I know it’s silly to be so emotional over a stupid wart but I’m telling you I nearly cried. I’ve never been so happy with a product in my life. Highly, highly recommend giving these a try if you’ve got a stubborn plantar wart." —Liz Dube

    20. A bottle of anti-dandruff shampoo that'll come to your rescue if your scalp is flakier than that one college friend of yours.

A reviewer's head with lots of dandruff flakes around their part
The same reviewer's head with no dandruff around their part

It's got over 57,000 5-star ratings, and works for more than just dandruff. I used to get recurring bouts of fungal acne on my forehead, and I tried this at the recommendation of the interwebs (its key ingredient is an antifungal). Every other day during a flare-up, I would put it on the affected area like a wash-off mask, let it sit for a few minutes, and rinse off. My forehead looked better the next day!

Promising review: "This stuff is absolutely amazing. I was one step away from going to the dermatologist. I had severe dandruff that was so bad I could shake my head and it would come off. With just a few uses per week, I got rid of all of my flakes. My scalp also stopped burning from dryness. My hair has never been healthier." —Moo Moo

    reviewer's plant droopy before
same plant much perkier 48 hours later

Each spike can be used for 30–60 days, depending on the season.

Promising review: "I always kill my plants, but I decided to try again. I just bought five houseplants, and three of them were marked down because they were looking pretty puny. Since I tend to kill them anyway, I figured I would give them a try and save some money. I put one of these spikes in each plant, and they all looked so much healthier and happier after just a couple of days. I also added one spike to the only houseplant that I've had for years without killing (I was beginning to think it was artificial); the leaves looked healthier almost immediately. I'm very happy with this product, and it was a great price." —victoria

Promising review: "This is the BEST product EVER! I will never use another hair detangler ever again. We use this product daily in my house, my daughter, my son, and I. Both of us girls have long and thick curly hair, and it allows us to brush through our hair with no problems! And my son mostly uses it to style his hair before gel, and because it smells so good! We tried a few products from Walmart, Ulta, and Target, and nothing was good enough. This is now on my Subscribe & Save every month!" —Tamira McLelland

    23. Bio Oil, an amazing vitamin A and E formula that over 4,500 5-star reviewers swear by for working skincare miracles, from fading scars to smoothing and moisturizing. Basically, it's the secret ingredient your self-care routine has been missing.

    reviewer's skinned knee partially healed
reviewer's knee with oil on it, almost entirely healed

Promising review: "I have eczema and I'm constantly trying to find basic skincare than I can use regularly. I have some really bad mosquito bite scars from last summer and some issues with hyperpigmentation, not to mention scarring from eczema outbreaks throughout the years. I saw this reviewed online and decided to give it a try, even though every other product they recommended for skincare was a bust for me. Not this! It smelled like it was going to be too strong and the consistency felt like it was just going to sit on my skin, so I was shocked when my skin drank it in and I had no irritation at all. Even better, after about two months I started noticing some fading and my skin texture felt better. Now it's been about four months and I'm a believer. I'm still on my first bottle (it seems like I've needed to use less over time or something), but I'm considering sizing up with my next purchase, just so I can drench myself in it daily...I'm only kind of exaggerating. It's actually gentle enough for my face and I can't even use Cetaphil on my face (I use very gentle face wash and moisturizer). I hope it becomes your new go-to skin treatment too!" —MissMaria82

Get it from Amazon for $8.92+ (or $8.47+ with the Subscribe & Save option; available in three sizes).

The photos I posted were with minimal scrubbing. The product does all the hard work!!" —Julie Dufour

"I rarely ever write reviews, but I had to for this product. I've had rust stains in my toilet and have tried countless things to remove them, with no success. This worked amazingly. Sprayed this on and the stains were gone as soon as the brush touched them. Magical!" —Jordan

The reviewer comparison above is what two bananas — one kept in the bag and one not — looked like after four or five days!

Promising review: "I am a big warehouse shopper and in the past often couldn’t eat all those berries or all that lettuce before they went bad. So I followed the directions and made sure the produce was dry (lettuce, spinach, asparagus, and blueberries). For the lettuce and asparagus, saw a little condensation in the bag, so put a paper towel in the bag where moisture was accumulating. Two weeks later, the berries were almost as fresh as day one. Lettuce was still crisp and crunchy and only a few pieces of spinach were starting to wilt. Asparagus were crisp as well. I would definitely recommend and will continue to try with other fruits and vegetables." —BAS

We went out to dinner and to the store before I finally got home to take off my makeup. I was a little shinier than before I left, but very happy with this spray!" —Jess Y.

    Danielle Healy/BuzzFeed

It's from a Denver-based Etsy shop specializing in plant-based cleaning products.

BuzzFeed Shopping writer Danielle Healy had major success with this stuff! She writes: "I recently moved into a new apartment, so lately I've been cleaning A LOT. Shortly after moving in, my partner and I went to store something on the top of the kitchen cabinets only to find them caked in a thick layer of grime. 🤢 After going at it with regular multipurpose cleaner (with little success) we broke out the scour paste as a last-ditch effort and OH BOY did this miracle product deliver (pics above). If it can handle that grossness, it's going to have no problem with day-to-day messes like soap scum and burnt-on food. Plus, it smells delightful and comes in minimal, low-waste packaging!"

Promising review: "Okay, what is this sorcery?? I can't believe I never knew these existed. I seriously felt like a teenager again last weekend. Literally days after talking about how great my skin has been, this giant, painful, bulging zit was starting to form right in the middle of my chin. A week before my cousin's wedding, naturally. It was like it wouldn't stop growing, and spot treatment solution was doing absolutely nothing. It hurt so bad, and I couldn't help trying to pop it, but it refused. Then I heard about these. I placed one on my chin the second they arrived in the mail. After a few hours, I saw the white forming and I was curious and peeled it off. Then I put a fresh one on before bed, and come the next morning...HOLY COW, the entire dot of the patch was now a giant white blob. This zit was no joke. It's amazing how much fluid/pus had to get sucked out. Like I said, this is some magic. The zit completely went away within a day." —Heather R. Weather

There’s nothing out there that is anywhere in comparison to this product!!!! This stuff is the absolute best. I highly recommend purchasing this. Promising review: "LIQUID GOLD. This is an exceptional product! We are an unofficial rescue home for dogs and cats. The latest dog is an 8-year-old Chihuahua, and she was not house trained because she had a doggy door that allowed her to go outside whenever she needed to. So during the transition period from untrained to at least my being trained to understanding her sign language, we have had our share of accidents. We also had some leftover stains from previous dogs in spite of our efforts with other cleaners. New or old urine, this cleaner is phenomenal. The stains sometimes disappear right in front of you. I have to mark the spot I am cleaning so I know where to go back to in order to apply the clean rag or towel to absorb any residual liquid. Don't know how many products we have tried. This is the very first one that deserved a 5-star review. So I just ordered the gallon bottle and will put it on Subscribe & Save as well. I highly recommend it. Obviously." —Gkayemarie

baby with super scaly scalp then the flakes removed

Promising review: "Take my money. This works. It just does. It will work for you — there’s no way your baby’s cradle cap will win this war. Granted my 3-month-old didn’t have the worst case of it, but I used this system once. One time. All of the crusty gunk removed by the comb of wonders. Had to clean it off three times during the bath. Which was very gratifying. It’s like popping a zit. I only got to experience the joy once, because that was all it took. Cradle cap gone." —Michelle
