Wood! What a miraculous material. Is there anything it can't do? I mean, besides resist fire? Oh, and take care of itself.

You're on your own with the combustibility thing, but there is something that will make it waaay easier to keep all your wood looking mighty pine.

Howard Feed-N-Wax Wood Polish and Conditioner is — according to its more than 2,000 five-star reviews on Amazon — a miracle elixir that will answer all your wood-related prayers.

It's made with orange oil, which conditions the wood, and beeswax and carnauba wax, which provide a protective coating.

The company recommends applying it every three to six months, or whenever your wood needs some sprucing up.

And while the reviews are pretty impressive, it was the jaw-dropping before-and-afters that really sealed the deal on this stuff for me. It's like a makeover montage up in those review photos! Like this one:

Do you freak out when someone forgets to use a coaster on your precious coffee table? Take it down a notch, buy this polish, and people will stop avoiding your dinner invitations!

"I used this on my grandma's antique dresser to get rid of some water marks, and was absolutely shocked and thrilled at the same time! Worth every penny!" —Pantera1014

"This stuff is AMAZING!!! Super easy to use and has instant results! I used it on my 60-year-old church pew that sits outside (we also live on a dirt road). Look how awesome it turned out! You can see on the pic what it looked like before. Just buy it NOW!" —Aimee Nelson

And then, at last, the big reveal! Just in time for the prom! The wood prom!

"Wow. I bought this because the customer images looked amazing, and I wanted to see if I had results as good. The verdict? This product is worth every penny. I had so much fun seeing the prettiness return to the few items I conditioned that I was looking for more items to use this on around my house! I bought this to use on my wood trim around the house, and I know it's going to work perfectly after testing it on some tables. My only issue is that it's a little hard to remove, but overall it's such a small degree of difficulty, it's barely worth mentioning. GET THIS POLISH." —Gabby

This stuff works on all wood finishes. You just apply it to clean wood with a cloth (some reviewers recommended using Howard Orange Oil to clean the surface, but you could also use good ol' white vinegar and water), wait 20 minutes, polish it off, and enjoy your newly lustrous wood.

It also masks nicks and scratches, so even if your pup goes bananas on your floors and doors, no one will be the wiser!

"Wow, this stuff is amazing for scratches on hollow core doors! Our dog is a little monster that has scratched up nearly every door in our house and I was about to sand every single one and paint them white but I decided to try this first. It's saved me so much time and headache! It obviously doesn't fix the scratches but now you hardly see them unless you look really close." —ftsfoxx

There you have it! The only question that remains is: Do you respect wood?

Get it from Amazon for $8.95+ (available in seven sizes).
