    1. A hair-finishing stick that'll take those little hairs and fly-aways and roll them up into your bun! It's essentially plant-oil in a mascara wand and it's perfect (like your hair).

    amazon.com

Promising review: "I have super fine hair with lots of breakage. No matter how I put my hair up I have bad flyaways. This stuff is great! So easy and it stays better and looks smoother than stiff hair spray." —Jill Stilfield

Get it from Amazon for $7.98.

    2. A bottle of hair-building fibers to help cover balding spots while you're still trying to grow back hair.

A reviewer's before and after photo of them using the hair-building fibers to cover some bald spots
    amazon.com

They're sweat-, wind-, and rain-resistant, but come out in your next shampoo. Just shake into the thinning area, and pat your hair to disperse.

Promising review: "I was hesitant to try this, and I'm hoping my review will help someone else who feels the same way. I have alopecia areata, which causes circles or ovals of hair to fall out all at once. The hair fibers are a godsend. I use the dark brown with the spray applicator. You'd be able to see if you got up close to look, and it works better where there's some hair than areas that are completely bare, but even on bare patches its much better. I would definitely recommend this for anyone, any age, with thinning hair or bald patches." —Christine Wilson

Get it from Amazon for $24.95 (available in four sizes and nine colors).

    3. A spray bottle of L'Oreal Paris root cover-up spray so you don't have to spend tons of $$$ and time getting your roots re-done. Just simply spray on your roots and witness seamless coverage with no residue. Plus, it's water-resistant!

A reviewer with gray roots and dark brown hair showing the spray completely covered their grays
    amazon.com

Promising review: "My hair grows somewhat fast so I find myself coloring my roots at minimum every two weeks, which I think is bad for my hair. This product has been a lifesaver in allowing me to extend that time frame some. I wish I had found it sooner!" —Mmandkcs

Get it from Amazon for $8.19+ (available in eight colors).

    4. A vegan, paraben-free semi-permanent conditioning hair color that'll last up to 25 washes so you can rock your new look for a long time without having to pay a ton of $$$.

A reviewer's hair before and after using the product with the second image showing how bright purple their hair is
    amazon.com

Promising review: "This is the first hair color I've ever used back in 1995 (Atlantic Blue on my unbleached natural medium brown hair), and it took amazingly. Since then, I've tried everything I came across hoping for something that lasts longer, but this is the best I've found. It typically lasts four to six weeks on my hair. This is a vegetable dye and will not harm your hair if left on too long. Actually, it's very conditioning and makes my hair soft and shiny after use. Always wash and rinse in cold water and use a mild shampoo made for colored hair!" —KelRosner

Get it from Amazon for $7.85+ (available in 17 colors).

    5. A Sally Hansen matte top coat to switch up your usual shiny nails to a cool, high fashion matte finish.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "A little goes a LONG way. It's so perfect and to top it off (haha) it lasts for at least a week. That is pretty good for a top coat that is not gel. Also the price is excellent and shipping was very fast." —Lisa

Get it from Amazon for $5.19.

    6. A tapered ceramic Remington Pro curling wand that might as well have come from Ollivander's, because you can curl your hair so effortlessly — without the traditional curl clamp — and make it feel like straight-up magic.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "I’m one of those people who just sucks at curling my hair. I've tried numerous times to curl my hair with a curling iron, but I can never get it right. I love this wand! I literally feel like a pro curling my hair and it took less than 10 minutes! It used to take forever with those darn curling irons. Never again! Seriously tho, this is a must have for all." —MissEm

Get it from Amazon for $22.85.

    7. A pack of 42 twist-flex rods for anyone trying to get curls in the easiest way possible. Just fall asleep with them in and wake up. It's that easy.

A reviewer's hair with the flex rods in next to a photo of them with the flex rods freshly taken out and their hair is super curly and beautiful
    amazon.com

Promising review: "I left the largest rollers, the purple and gray ones, in for two hours to see how the curls would turn out. The results were great! The rollers are the perfect size and gave me the same look as my expensive digital perm. I've been getting digital perms for the last year to the tune of $200 every three to four months, so these rollers, at $12 a pack, are a steal." —HoyaBlue

Get it from Amazon for $9.99+ (available in two sizes).

    8. A set of hair extensions that'll feel and look so much like the real deal, you might even forget you have them in.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "This was the best nine dollars I've spent in a long time! The color is a perfect match to my hair. The hair is very long — I cut at least 12 inches off. It stays in place very well. This is a fun addition to my going out look." —SBonert

Get them from Amazon for $9.99 (available in four lengths and 42 colors).

    9. A 2-ounce tin of Honest Amish Beard Balm Leave-in Conditioner you can use to soften coarse hairs, get rid of "beardruff," or use as a pre-shave balm for skin so soft you'll forget there was ever a beard there.

A before photo of a reviewer with a full beard and mustache and an after photo with a cleanly shaven face looking smooth
    amazon.com

Promising review: "I originally purchased this for purposes of beardism. The product worked wonders and improved my bearditude. After I decided to cut it for summer I found myself one day without shave gel so I used this instead. This is by far the greatest shaving experience I have ever had — and that includes professional ones. My face feels like butter-soaked calfskin leather. You know damn well you can imagine how luxurious that feels." —Michael Gomez

Get it from Amazon for $11.43.

    10. A bottle of Fanola No Yellow shampoo for anyone with orange undertones they want out of their life. The violet pigment in this shampoo will get rid of unwanted yellow hues on gray, light blonde, or streaked hair.

A reviewer showing the before and after using the shampoo with the after having a less yellow hue
    amazon.com

Promising review: "Stop searching and buy this! I purchased this purple shampoo on a whim after seeing it on a BuzzFeed article. THIS SHAMPOO, let me tell you, has pulled any and every unwanted orange color from my hair. The shampoo is PURPLE, almost black. It reeks to high heaven, but so do most toners and glazes a salon would put on, so it's really not an issue to me. I use it once a week and leave it on for about five minutes while I shave in shower, and it does its job. Within two weeks it pulled all the orange brassiness from my hair and has left me with a wintery icy blonde that I never thought my hair could be. I love it so much and don't know what state of pumpkin I would be without this shampoo." —Lenna K.

Get it from Amazon for $12.98+ (available in three sizes).

    11. A John Frieda hot air brush so you can get that blown-out look but without spending the time or $$$ for the salon. Drying your hair with a round brush + a blow-dryer 👏is 👏a 👏myth. This tool does it all in one!

    Maitland Quitmeyer / BuzzFeed

Promising review: "It has two heat settings (plus a cool setting to set your style) AND ***ionic power*** to reduce frizz and add massive shine. And it has ceramic coating to reduce heat damage to your hair. I friggin' love this brush. All you need to do is section your hair out, depending on how thick it is, and roll it under your hair like you would a regular round brush — but because it releases hot air, there's NO NEED FOR A HAIR DRYER! Truly easy. And you get better results than with a flat iron, because you're lifting and brushing out the hair rather than just pressing it flat."—BuzzFeed Editor Maitland Quitmeyer

Get it from Amazon for $23.71+ (available in 1- and 1.5-inch sizes).

    12. A molding wax for those stubborn hairs that need medium hold to lock them in all day. This formula has minimal shine and will give your hair some added fullness.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "I have very fine hair and it's so hard to do anything with it. I ordered this based on the reviews and how it won't weigh down or make my hair look greasy. This stuff is great! After I blow-dry my hair, I add a small amount (about size of a nickel) into my hand and then begin to apply it. It gives my hair a nice shine but more importantly, it gives my hair the fullness and hold that I need. Overall great stuff!" —L. Avila

Get it from Amazon for $12.32.

    13. A 2-in-1 ionic hair straightener brush so you can finally enjoy getting ready in the morning without ~literally~ pulling your hair out!

    amazon.com

Safety features include auto-off and auto temperature lock, which automatically shuts off the brush if not used for 60 minutes. Temperatures range from150 degrees C (300 degrees F) to 230 degrees C (450 degrees F) for any hair type.

Promising review: "Yaaaaaa'll! Buy this thing. Seriously, add it to your cart right now and check out. RIGHT NOW! I have never liked straightening my hair. It took way too long (upwards of two hours), the flat iron would get caught in my hair, I'd burn my scalp trying to get too close; it just was a hassle. I'm so glad I tried this because what used to be a two-plus hour ordeal took only 45 minutes — and most of that was taking my hair down and detangling it from washing it! The actual straightening process was maybe 20 minutes." —Margaret

Get it from Amazon for $36.99.

    14. An automatic ceramic curling iron for anyone who loves to change up their look day to day but is at their ~split ends~ trying to style their hair in under an hour.

    amazon.com, youtube.com

Simply place a sectioned off part of your hair behind the thickest prong, and it'll automatically wrap around the iron, and rest of the hard work is done for you!

Promising review: "I love this curler beyond words. I am Asian with super straight hair that can never keep curls. Seriously, after curling my hair with a curling iron AND using hair spray, my hair is basically straight again in two hours. This is the ONLY curling iron that I've used that actually works and is super easy to use. I actually tried using it without spraying my hair and the curls stayed intact until the next day." —NYC Dog Mom

Get it from Amazon for $41.99.

    15. A tin of all-purpose wax so people who want to rid their underarms of hair can do so without razor burn and bumps coming up out of nowhere.

A reviewer showing their back pre and post wax hair removal
    amazon.com

Apply this wax with wooden applicators like these! To use, place the wax tin into a professional wax heater. Within 20 to 30 minutes, it will be warm and liquid enough to apply. Test the temperature of the wax on the inside of your wrist; the best temperature should be about what your body temperature is. Then apply an oil of your choice and a quarter sized amount of the wax. Spread in the direction of your hair growth. Once dried down, remove the wax parallel and in the opposite direction of your hair growth.

Promising review: "Holy crap. Please listen to this review. This is the best, and easiest to use wax I have ever tried. It dries super quickly and when it dries it creates a vacuum seal around the hair. It does not stick to skin in the slightest and cuts the pain down 75%. I would pay $150 dollars for this stuff because it is so good." —Amanda

Get it from Amazon for $21.50.

    16. A set of clip-on bangs, because you know you've wondered what you'd look like with them. We all have! Now's your chance to see what you'd look like without making it permanent.

A reviewer showing the before and after of their hair with and without the clip in bangs and it looks natural and color matches beautifully
    amazon.com

Promising review: "I had very LOW expectations for this. I accidentally cut my bangs too short the other night because my puppy distracted me mid cut. I thought it would be funny to buy this and wear it one day. I got it for laughs mostly, not really expecting it to look normal. AND OMG I AM SHOCKED! First of all, it's the exact same shade as my hair color. It was super easy to put on. The hair feels soft and realistic. I am so beyond amazed. So far, no one has been able to tell that the bangs are fake! I love them!" —Jrod

Get it from Amazon for $6.99 (available in 25 colors).

    17. A bottle of Veet's hair-removal cream formulated with aloe vera and vitamin E for sensitive skin to remove hair within less than five minutes for anyone who is tired of shaving every other day just to get the smooth look they're going for.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "I got this for my private parts because I have extremely sensitive skin when it comes to shaving and waxing, especially if it's frequently. Fierce ingrown hairs and razor burn. I tried a small spot first and didn't have any side effects so I went for the whole shebang. Left it on for nine minutes. Wiped off with a warm washcloth and boom, silky smooth everywhere! " —Rebecca

Get it from Amazon for $7.99.
