They're sweat-, wind-, and rain-resistant, but come out in your next shampoo. Just shake into the thinning area, and pat your hair to disperse.
Promising review: "I was hesitant to try this, and I'm hoping my review will help someone else who feels the same way. I have alopecia areata, which causes circles or ovals of hair to fall out all at once. The hair fibers are a godsend. I use the dark brown with the spray applicator. You'd be able to see if you got up close to look, and it works better where there's some hair than areas that are completely bare, but even on bare patches its much better. I would definitely recommend this for anyone, any age, with thinning hair or bald patches." —Christine Wilson

Promising review: "My hair grows somewhat fast so I find myself coloring my roots at minimum every two weeks, which I think is bad for my hair. This product has been a lifesaver in allowing me to extend that time frame some. I wish I had found it sooner!" —Mmandkcs

Promising review: "This is the first hair color I've ever used back in 1995 (Atlantic Blue on my unbleached natural medium brown hair), and it took amazingly. Since then, I've tried everything I came across hoping for something that lasts longer, but this is the best I've found. It typically lasts four to six weeks on my hair. This is a vegetable dye and will not harm your hair if left on too long. Actually, it's very conditioning and makes my hair soft and shiny after use. Always wash and rinse in cold water and use a mild shampoo made for colored hair!" —KelRosner

Promising review: "I’m one of those people who just sucks at curling my hair. I've tried numerous times to curl my hair with a curling iron, but I can never get it right. I love this wand! I literally feel like a pro curling my hair and it took less than 10 minutes! It used to take forever with those darn curling irons. Never again! Seriously tho, this is a must have for all." —MissEm

Promising review: "I left the largest rollers, the purple and gray ones, in for two hours to see how the curls would turn out. The results were great! The rollers are the perfect size and gave me the same look as my expensive digital perm. I've been getting digital perms for the last year to the tune of $200 every three to four months, so these rollers, at $12 a pack, are a steal." —HoyaBlue

Promising review: "This was the best nine dollars I've spent in a long time! The color is a perfect match to my hair. The hair is very long — I cut at least 12 inches off. It stays in place very well. This is a fun addition to my going out look." —SBonert

Promising review: "I originally purchased this for purposes of beardism. The product worked wonders and improved my bearditude. After I decided to cut it for summer I found myself one day without shave gel so I used this instead. This is by far the greatest shaving experience I have ever had — and that includes professional ones. My face feels like butter-soaked calfskin leather. You know damn well you can imagine how luxurious that feels." —Michael Gomez

Promising review: "Stop searching and buy this! I purchased this purple shampoo on a whim after seeing it on a BuzzFeed article. THIS SHAMPOO, let me tell you, has pulled any and every unwanted orange color from my hair. The shampoo is PURPLE, almost black. It reeks to high heaven, but so do most toners and glazes a salon would put on, so it's really not an issue to me. I use it once a week and leave it on for about five minutes while I shave in shower, and it does its job. Within two weeks it pulled all the orange brassiness from my hair and has left me with a wintery icy blonde that I never thought my hair could be. I love it so much and don't know what state of pumpkin I would be without this shampoo." —Lenna K.

Promising review: "It has two heat settings (plus a cool setting to set your style) AND ***ionic power*** to reduce frizz and add massive shine. And it has ceramic coating to reduce heat damage to your hair. I friggin' love this brush. All you need to do is section your hair out, depending on how thick it is, and roll it under your hair like you would a regular round brush — but because it releases hot air, there's NO NEED FOR A HAIR DRYER! Truly easy. And you get better results than with a flat iron, because you're lifting and brushing out the hair rather than just pressing it flat."—BuzzFeed Editor Maitland Quitmeyer

Promising review: "I have very fine hair and it's so hard to do anything with it. I ordered this based on the reviews and how it won't weigh down or make my hair look greasy. This stuff is great! After I blow-dry my hair, I add a small amount (about size of a nickel) into my hand and then begin to apply it. It gives my hair a nice shine but more importantly, it gives my hair the fullness and hold that I need. Overall great stuff!" —L. Avila

Promising review: "Yaaaaaa'll! Buy this thing. Seriously, add it to your cart right now and check out. RIGHT NOW! I have never liked straightening my hair. It took way too long (upwards of two hours), the flat iron would get caught in my hair, I'd burn my scalp trying to get too close; it just was a hassle. I'm so glad I tried this because what used to be a two-plus hour ordeal took only 45 minutes — and most of that was taking my hair down and detangling it from washing it! The actual straightening process was maybe 20 minutes." —Margaret

Promising review: "I love this curler beyond words. I am Asian with super straight hair that can never keep curls. Seriously, after curling my hair with a curling iron AND using hair spray, my hair is basically straight again in two hours. This is the ONLY curling iron that I've used that actually works and is super easy to use. I actually tried using it without spraying my hair and the curls stayed intact until the next day." —NYC Dog Mom

Apply this wax with wooden applicators like these! To use, place the wax tin into a professional wax heater. Within 20 to 30 minutes, it will be warm and liquid enough to apply. Test the temperature of the wax on the inside of your wrist; the best temperature should be about what your body temperature is. Then apply an oil of your choice and a quarter sized amount of the wax. Spread in the direction of your hair growth. Once dried down, remove the wax parallel and in the opposite direction of your hair growth.
Promising review: "Holy crap. Please listen to this review. This is the best, and easiest to use wax I have ever tried. It dries super quickly and when it dries it creates a vacuum seal around the hair. It does not stick to skin in the slightest and cuts the pain down 75%. I would pay $150 dollars for this stuff because it is so good." —Amanda

Promising review: "I had very LOW expectations for this. I accidentally cut my bangs too short the other night because my puppy distracted me mid cut. I thought it would be funny to buy this and wear it one day. I got it for laughs mostly, not really expecting it to look normal. AND OMG I AM SHOCKED! First of all, it's the exact same shade as my hair color. It was super easy to put on. The hair feels soft and realistic. I am so beyond amazed. So far, no one has been able to tell that the bangs are fake! I love them!" —Jrod

Promising review: "I got this for my private parts because I have extremely sensitive skin when it comes to shaving and waxing, especially if it's frequently. Fierce ingrown hairs and razor burn. I tried a small spot first and didn't have any side effects so I went for the whole shebang. Left it on for nine minutes. Wiped off with a warm washcloth and boom, silky smooth everywhere! " —Rebecca
