I'm torn between JD Salinger's Nine Stories and Stories by John Cheever. Both the product of 20th century existentialism. Their characters struggle to find meaning in spite of all the luxuries and privilege within their reach. There's always something missing...
Sorry, not buying it. It seems so cliched. Upper class women in an "upper class" city? She may have seen an 80's movie by Ishmael Bernal on cable late at night and was inspired. This was entertaining and all but I think this is fake.
Been through ALL of them. I'm currently experiencing #9 and I hope someday, a few months or even a year from now, I'll read this comment and be like "Thank goodness I'm over that!". :(
