The First Trailer For "The Mandalorian" Is Here, And It's Actual Art

"Bounty hunting is a complicated profession...don't you agree?"

Back in April of 2019, BuzzFeed attended the Star Wars Celebration in Chicago — where we got our first look at the Jon Favreau series, The Mandalorian, for Disney+ — and were THOROUGHLY hyped.

Well today — while attending the positively packed panel for Disney+ at Disney's D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA — we finally received our first OFFICIAL trailer for the series...and it is ART IN MOTION.

We know from our trip to Star Wars Celebration that this series will take place AFTER the events of Return of the Jedi, in what Favreau himself described as a time wrought with "scum and villainy"...and that tone is VERY apparent in this trailer.

I mean, the teaser literally begins with a pretty sinister-looking shot of some Storm Trooper masks stuck on pikes.

We then see the titular Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) — a bounty hunter — suiting up to do what I can only assume is some serious damage.

And we also get a look at some of the main players in the series, including Carl Weathers as Greef Carla.

And Gina Carano as Cara Dune, an ex-Rebel Shock Trooper.

Also this really freakin' awesome droid. Just look at them go!

And then — right before we cut to black — we see a VERY familiar sight to Star Wars fans: Some bounty hunters' prey encased in carbonite.

Overall, the whole trailer is, like, really beautiful? For real, would you just LOOK at this shot:

And this one? This is actual art I'd like to frame and hang over the mantle that I don't have:

So check out what is sure to be a pretty darn badass series when The Mandalorian hits Disney+ on Nov. 12, 2019!
