I already knew my way around a kitchen pretty well in college. My roommates destroyed so much of my kitchen equipment that I literally had to hide it and buy a second set of shittier equipment that they could ruin 🙄

Talk to your professors. Find a class that you love and take an interest in it. Join all of the clubs you can handle and generally just get as involved as possible. I didn't do this until junior year and I really regret not putting myself out there more early on.
