The rampant sexism and use of gendered stereotypes that derives from people not knowing the difference between gender and sex, which often goes hand-in-hand a tendency to assume gendered behavior is natural, rather than constructed, and/or universal in men or women. Really, the worst is when stereotypes like “girls should care about fashion!” or “boys are icky” are mixed into pseudo-intellectual articles so a whole new generation can soak 'em up and pass them on to their kids.

I don't know too much about either band, but there's no excuse for choosing Wanted over One Direction. Why? Liam Payne, member of One Direction, has a super adorable turtle (see photo for proof) named ARCHIMEDES. Which is a fantastic name for a turtle. In short, One Direction passes the turtle test.
