e.l.f. don't sell in China, so they don't test on animals. Only products that are sold there have to be tested on animals, not just if they're made there.
This is basically what my husband and I did for our wedding. Bought a bunch of assorted ceramic and glass animals/vases/trays/ etc, spray painted them in our wedding colors (white, black, gold, and blush pink), and decorated the hell out of the tables. It was kitschy yet fancy.
