My ex and I had recently broken up. My best friend woke me up early Valentines Day to come meet him for coffee. He had bought me a bouquet of a dozen roses. I know it's a typical gift, but it melted my heart that he didn't want me to be sad and miserable on Valentines day.

I can't even tell you how many psych doctors I've told about my cutting. None of them care. The only way you get proper help is if you say you're suicidal. But then they'll keep you in the hospital. During my last appointment (with a social worker, they wouldn't even give me a doctor)…
