If your hair just hasn't been cooperating lately, perhaps what you need is a great hair mask or a quality curler to come to the rescue.
Promising review: "Just wow! I was skeptical at first. I wish I would have bought this sooner! After showering I get all the moisture I can out of my hair. And leave it to kind of air dry while I’m getting ready, having coffee, or whatever I’m doing that morning. It takes me about seven minutes to dry my hair if that! I have very thick naturally curly hair. It’s is a fabulous tool to have in your arsenal! May be the only one I have to use. No flat iron needed as of yet! Would buy again in a heartbeat!" —D.K

Promising review: "Stop searching and buy this! I purchased this purple shampoo on a whim after seeing it on a BuzzFeed article. THIS SHAMPOO, let me tell you, has pulled any and every unwanted orange color from my hair. The shampoo is PURPLE, almost black. It reeks to high heaven, but so do most toners and glazes a salon would put on, so it's really not an issue to me. I use it once a week and leave it on for about five minutes while I shave in shower, and it does its job. Within two weeks it pulled all the orange brassiness from my hair and has left me with a wintery icy blonde that I never thought my hair could be. I love it so much and don't know what state of pumpkin I would be without this shampoo." —Lenna K.

Promising review: "This is the first product that I have ever used where I saw immediate results. For those out there that have tried Olaplex at home, it's very similar in consistency but I think I see better results and this product is much cheaper. I shampooed my hair, towel-dried so my hair was damp, then ran the product through all my hair, mostly concentrating on my ends. I left it in for as long as I could and rinsed it out and my hair felt smooth and soft immediately. I let my hair air dry and it was soooo shiny! It is a small bottle but you don't need to use much so I can see it lasting for a while if you only do a treatment once a week or once every two weeks." —Samantha Ellis

Promising review: "My hair grows somewhat fast so I find myself coloring my roots at minimum every two weeks, which I think is bad for my hair. This product has been a lifesaver in allowing me to extend that time frame some. I wish I had found it sooner!" —Mmandkcs

I know because I've used it! It makes my hair feel fuller, more voluminous, and clean too. The scent is light and lovely and I love the price.
This is sulfate-free, paraben-free, cruelty-free, and vegan.
Promising review: "I would give 6 stars if it were possible. I have fine hair. This shampoo leaves my hair light and clean. It doesn't dry it out, and it doesn't weigh it down. It smells great, not cloying or perfume-y. And surprisingly, my wet hair is a bit easier to run the comb through than with my other shampoos. Like my salon shampoo, this one is concentrated so you don't need to use much. Even the container is well made with a chunky container that is less likely to topple from a caddy. I appreciate the environmentally friendly features. Most of all, I'm really happy with what it does to my hair." —Sam

Promising review: "If I could give this product more than 5 stars then I would!! My husband has suffered from extreme dandruff/psoriasis for years to the point that he would pick constantly at his scalp. I would be able to visually see large sores and peeling skin chunks constantly no matter what shampoo/treatment he would use. This stuff worked absolute wonders for us and I would recommend to anyone with slight dandruff issues to extreme psoriasis conditions!"—Tabitha C.

Promising review: "I have really long, thick, fine hair. I get tangles and hair matts really easily. In my life, I have never had a brush get tangles and matts out with such ease. It makes hair brushing enjoyable and painless. It gets out the knots within seconds and without the pain I used to experience with other types of brushes. I hardly lose any hair using this brush because it is so gentle. The bristles are soft and flexible. It has made hair brushing something to look forward to. They're sweat-, wind-, and rain-resistant, but come out in your next shampoo. Just shake into the thinning area, and pat your hair to disperse.
Promising review: "I was hesitant to try this, and I'm hoping my review will help someone else who feels the same way. I have alopecia areata, which causes circles or ovals of hair to fall out all at once. The hair fibers are a godsend. I use the dark brown with the spray applicator. You'd be able to see if you got up close to look, and it works better where there's some hair than areas that are completely bare, but even on bare patches its much better. I would definitely recommend this for anyone, any age, with thinning hair or bald patches." —Christine Wilson

This is safe for color-treated hair and uses natural plant ingredients. It's also small so you can carry it with you on the go.
Promising review: "This product is amazing. Buy it right now. If you have flyaways, stop what you are doing and order this. I struggle with fine hairs sticking straight up no matter where I part my hair. This little miracle product makes them lay down and stay down. A tiny bit goes a long way; using too much has the hardening effect similar to using too much hairspray. It’s a small mascara-sized tube and wand. Easy to keep in your bag, but honestly my morning application lasts all day. I love this." —Patrick McKenna

Promising review (for messy bun): "My bun game has gone to a new level! Very easy to apply and the feel is very realistic, it doesn’t feel like a synthetic hair! The color match was to a tee. I have quite fine hair so my usual buns look very odd (like a round pot handle vibe) but with Sammy, I feel so confident and put together. The application was super easy and unlike some of the ponies that make you feel weighted, there was no issues with feeling tightened or restricted on my scalp." —Jia

Promising review: "I love this curler beyond words. I am Asian with super straight hair that can never keep curls. Seriously, after curling my hair with a curling iron AND using hair spray, my hair is basically straight again in two hours. This is the ONLY curling iron that I've used that actually works and is super easy to use. I actually tried using it without spraying my hair and the curls stayed intact until the next day." —NYCdogmomma

I particularly like that I don't get so much 'hat hair' with the roomy bucket hat, like with my baseball caps; there's some breathing room. My hat appears very well-constructed with rich colors. Promising review: "Total game changer + new holy grail. I have some kind of dermatitis/dandruff that I'm don't care about enough to go to the dermatologist for. This is a TOTAL game changer. My favorite aspect is definitely how good the peppermint feels while I let it sit. It's a close tie with the actual product performance, my scalp probably hasn't felt this clean or light since I was a kid. I didn't expect to see any changes, but it's actually made my roots look healthier too. The texture is also really good, it's thick enough that it stays where you put it without dripping, but thin enough that you can easily work it into the area. I do wish more product came in the tube, or there was a value size option. I love that the tube is metal (and not plastic!!) but it does make it harder to squeeze out the last bit of the product. I will absolutely be repurchasing this regularly, and keeping an eye out for a bigger tube." —Amelia

Promising review: "This leave-in smells amazing and feels cooling and pleasant on the scalp. I'm going natural with my hair, and it's been a difficult journey so far, but I am very pleased with the effect of this product. My curls are defined, moisturized, soft, and my scalp feels much better than it has in a while. It's a large bottle and it doesn't take much to distribute throughout my hair, so I feel like the bottle will last for a long time, which makes it a much better value, and I love that the ingredients are very natural." —Lynn M

Promising review: "This is my new hair super hero. I have really curly hair that I torture with bleach and heat tools. Even with conditioning treatments its a bit sad. After a friend recommended this, my hair has been so much better! I wet it slightly, and leave as a leave in treatment for an hour or so. After my hair has a noticeably smoother texture and looks SO much better. My hair stylist has noted my strands look significantly less damaged. I only wish it came in a bigger size!" —DZ
