Sadly, I was not born with beachy, perfect waves. In fact, my hair has a natural half-straight/half-kink thing going on, so when I want to look presentable with my hair down, I always rely on my curling iron.

The only flaw of my curling iron is...pretty much EVERYTHING. It takes forever, the heat exposure is bad for my hair, my arms get tired, and I've burned myself at least a hundred times — all in the name of achieving some sexy curls.

"Great alternative to heat curls. My hair is thick and heavy. Normally if I use foam rollers it's super-'80s curly in the morning and completely flat by the time I get home.
