Penn Badgley Sent Cardi B "You" Merch, Along With A Very Special "WAP"-Themed Letter From Joe Goldberg

*In Joe's voice* "Cardi B, you have a way with social media. You're meaningful. Substantive. I just like you."

Major spoiler alert for You Season 3 ahead!!!

Can Cardi B and Penn Badgley just meet up in person already?

The pair's recently formed social media friendship has taken the internet by storm (and rightfully so). And in the latest update, Penn actually sent the rapper some personalized merch from his Netflix show, You.

It all began when a 2019 interview of Penn promoting the series went viral on Twitter, in which the actor praised Cardi for her authenticity on social media. The Bronx-born artist eventually took notice and was pretty darn happy about it.

Of course, Penn responded with a concise "I—," and the two later changed their profile pics to one another: Penn opted for a photo of Cardi with blue hair, and Cardi chose a haunting image of Penn's character, Joe Goldberg, looking stalkerishly out a window.

As of right now, their reversed profile pictures are still up.

Showcasing the merch, Cardi took to Twitter with the hilarious caption, "How Joe found my new house address? 😳😳"

The merch includes a baseball cap — with the stitching "Hello, You..." in all caps and stylized in the series' font — à la the one worn by Joe to "disguise" himself while he engages in creepy/murderous behavior.

Undoubtedly, though, the best part is the personalized note, which is written in Joe's internal monologue style (try and resist, but you can't not read it the way Joe sounds): "My stalking and killing may make me a certified freak, seven days a week," the letter begins, referencing Cardi and Megan Thee Stallion's mega-hit "WAP," "but it also brought me to...you."

"Cardi B, you have a way with social media. You're meaningful. Substantive. I just like you," the letter (which I sincerely hope was written by Penn) continues. "You're authentic and nuanced...just as you are with your music. You keep me on my toes, the ones that are left, at least. You can't be caged in, and it's refreshing."

"Can't wait to see you slaying in this hat, but I certainly hope you don't disappear," the letter concludes, with an "au revoir" from Joe himself — a nod to the Season 3 finale, which features our main villain journeying to Paris in search of his latest obsession (Tati Gabrielle's librarian Marienne).

Following the culture-shifting event that was Cardi and Penn's friendship, fans began clamoring for the singer — who pitched her own cameo — to appear in Season 4. And with Netflix's bio reading, "Petition to get Cardi B to guest star in Season 4 of You!" at one point, it all seemed incredibly imminent.

So it’s episode 1 and I’m at Paris Fashion week shutting it down! I turn around and there stands YOU Ok finish it off @netflix 😌

For his part though, Penn "can't say" if Cardi's involvement is a done deal because he doesn't "actually know" what the plan is for Season 4.

I guess, all that's to say: Stop playing, Netflix! The people want what they want, and what they want is a Cardi and Joe Goldberg run-in!!! Please, and thank...you.
