Carly and Pete dated back in 2015 and seem to still be on good terms after she appeared in Pete's movie The King of Staten Island and publicly thanked Pete for casting her. 

2. Cazzie David

When they were together/rumored: May 2016–May 2018

The two began dating in 2016 and made several public appearances together. Then, in 2018, Pete said on Open Late with Peter Rosenberg: "We’re not together anymore. ... Very talented girl, she’ll be great and she’ll be fine. Yeah, I think she’ll be okay." In her book, No One Asked For This, Cazzie shared that she heard about Pete's relationship with Ariana just a day after he texted her to end things. She also mentioned him in her book's acknowledgments, saying, "Pete. I love you ... Your bravery inspires me and your friendship means the world to me."

Pete and Ariana confirmed their relationship very shortly after Pete's breakup with Cazzie and Ariana's breakup with Mac Miller. The relationship moved very quickly, with the two getting engaged in June, almost a month after they started dating. Pete even got two Ariana Grande tattoos: a set of bunny ears behind his ear and her initials, "AG". They broke up shortly after Mac's death in September, and Pete shared, "I pretty much knew it was around over after that. That was really horrible, and I can’t imagine what that shit is like. All I do know is that she really loved the shit out of him, and she wasn’t putting on a show or anything. That was fucked up. Prayers to his family and all of his friends." The two began officially dating and were said to be long-distance because of their busy filming schedules. A source told The Sun, "It was wild while it lasted and they both really care for each other. But the distance has put a strain on them.
