This. ER workers are constantly verbally and physically assaulted by patients and family members. And it’s often done by people who have full mental capacity- they just feel entitled to abusing the people trying to help them.
Whoever decided to throw NPs and PAs under the bus as if they’re uneducated and waltz around rich and care free…wow. They are often underpaid, overworked, and completely disrespected. Stop tearing down other healthcare workers- it’s a team.
It’s pretty common to work multiple games in a day. You can work with as many leagues as you want, and tournaments are usually multi day events with back to back games all day long.
Yep, tons of people use ambulances like taxis in the states- it’s free for them with certain health insurances, and it is wildly inappropriate.
And it’s a misconception that you’re seen immediately in the ER if you come by ambulance. You go through the same triage process regardless…
If we’re talking about the US, healthcare workers most certainly have NOT already gotten theirs. There aren’t even enough vaccines allocated to all the workers in the highest risk departments (ER, ICU, etc) let alone every healthcare worker right now.
We agree. PAs do not want to be called doctor OR nurse, they want to be called PA. Sexist people refer to women in scrubs as nurses and men in scrubs as doctors no matter what they say. That was the point.
For anyone skeptical about how quickly the vaccine was developed:
It happened so fast not just because it was made a top priority, but because we weren’t starting from scratch. Vaccine researchers and developers have been working on coronavirus vaccines for years ever since SARS…
Wow to these conspiracy theories. No one is falsifying death certificates, no one is earning extra pay for covid deaths, and yes there are in fact that many covid deaths.
Pneumonia is the actual lung infection CAUSED by things like viruses or bacteria- they are not separate diseases.…
Totally understand if that specific PA’s advice wasn’t the best for him but please don’t discredit PAs in general! PAs are highly trained and qualified!
THIS. Patients always call my female PA colleagues and I “nurse” while my male PA colleagues are “doctor”. And this is despite introducing ourselves to every single patient as a PA and explaining what that means, and after they have met their actual nurse.
