lol that's the issue with New Yorkers, they think anywhere else is the middle of nowhere. There are plenty of places in the US where you can walk to stuff, but have space to live in and not pay ridiculous prices for it.

I agree - it never "pours" here. I'm from Pittsburgh where it rains super hard and living in Portland the rain is nothing even close to that. No need for an umbrella if you have a decent jacket.

I've lived in Portland for a year now and can say that's one of the first things I noticed is that I never needed my umbrella and nobody else used one. It rains but it never rains hard enough to use one. Not compared to other cities especially.
