Just 36 Game-Changing Fashion And Beauty Products

Patches to help your lobes support big earrings, a way to smudge-proof your mani, a major It bag, and *that* mattifying powder Rihanna showed off at halftime...just to name a few.

Unless otherwise specified, all sizes in this post are listed in women's.

    1. A miraculous smudge-correcting clear nail polish to banish those infuriating little crinkles and other imperfections that have long plagued your manis once and for all.

Did I just order this right this second? Maybe.

Promising review: "This refreshes my worn-out manicure very well. I apply this as a topcoat over my old manicure. It respreads and smooths out the polish and leaves it fresh and shiny. It's a bit pricey, but it does save me a lot of time and trouble not having to repolish my nails." —SoniaSophia

    2. Chic, somehow-only-$15 sunglasses that some folks say are comparable to a certain brand that rhymes with Shmay-Span.

A reviewer wearing the tortoiseshell print wayfarer sunglasses
reviewer in transparent rose gold version

Promising review: "I am still in shock that these sunglasses were so nice. I bought them for the style and look (trendy yet comfortable) and figured the polarized label was a gimmick (polarized sunnies I’ve bought in the past have been well over $200). I was going on a trip and needed some sunglasses I wouldn’t cry over if I didn’t return with them (always lose mine). These sunglasses were packaged beautifully. They came with a polarized tester! They passed the test as well as my Ray-Bans I knew were polarized, but when I kept switching back and forth between these and my Ray-Bans I’m pretty sure the lenses on these are even CLEARER. Maybe because they were brand new, but I was so impressed!! They are so cute and stylish while also so comfortable with an amazing lens. BUY THESE!! Super-good deal, you won’t be disappointed! They also seem so sturdy, so I’m hoping they will last me a while. Update: I still have these sunglasses and I’m still obsessed!!! ONLY issue I have had with them is the lens glue is kinda melting down but I think it’s because I left them out alone in Arizona 110-degree weather, just boiling them out there. Still look amazing, still so strong. I’ve sat on them 8,574,927 times and they are still alive. Amazing. I’ll never buy expensive sunnies again." —liz

    3. The Chi Thermal Care hair care kit, which comes with a shampoo, thermal protective conditioner, and leave-in serum that work together to make damaged, dry, and heavily heat-treated hair look healthy and shine-tastic. It's a whole new haircare routine for under $25 — and my coworker especially swears by it for when she's straightening her hair!

    Jordan Grigsby/BuzzFeed

BuzzFeed Shopping writer Jordan Grigsby raves, "You see that shine? That volume? That bounce? Babyyyy my hair is FLAWLESS. Witchcraft, right? Oh, and if you could feel it?! HONEYYYY, so, so soft and silky. It is seriously bone-straight and looks and feels soooo healthy! And, my hair is NATURAL (other than the obvious blue dye); I haven't used relaxers or keratin treatments in over 10 years. Now, I am by no means a hairstylist, and nothing tops their magical hands, but sweetieeeee, these products blow my mind. This trio does what needs to be done, and like, I did it — I delivered these results. Nothing has ever made my hair look like this unless a stylist was styling my hair. And when I step out of my house, you cannot tell me I'm not the most fabulous person in the world — I'm literally Beyoncé. My hair flows and bounces as if I have a personal fan in front of me, and I CANNOT keep my hands out of my hair. The shampoo and conditioner help get ALLLL the product buildup out of my hair and leave my hair feeling squeaky clean. Then, I add my serum (before blow-drying and again before straightening), and BAM — I'm flawless. The combo of all three is just *chefs kiss*, and they help protect my hair from heat damage. If you want a magic wand to set everything off, invest in the Babyliss straightener! My hairdresser uses it so I grabbed one too and now I always look like I just stepped out of the salon." Promising review: "These are amazing. They are literal lifesavers. I LOVE my heavy Kendra Scott earrings, but I’m pretty sure they’re the culprit of why my right earring hole has ripped slightly. Using these support patches, it’s as if the earrings don’t even exist. I am going to tell all of my friends to get these for their heavy statement earrings!!" —Donthemom50

"This set is so unique. I absolutely love it. I am roughly size 12. I got this in an XL, could have likely gone with the L though as there's lots of stretch. It looks great though. It's really comfortable and beautiful. It looks so classy. With the right bra, you could wear the cropped top on its own for a night out (paired with jeans and heels or a black pencil skirt would be so cute)." —Christina

It was a very bright pink at first but super easy to spread — a bit like Glossier's Cloud Paint, except personalized. It's very long lasting, too — I applied in the morning and could still see a rosy glow by the end of the day."

Promising review: "Dewy and glowy. I tried it over makeup and it appeared as a strong pink shade but settled to a flushed, glowy color. I had my little sister try it too because I wanted to see the color change again and it lasted a really long time on her. The texture was smooth and it was easy to rub in and blend out." —Summer

    12. Some vegan and cruelty-free Avarelle acne patches, which are made with tea tree and calendula oils to soothe swelling as well as hydrocolloid material to absorb all the gunk from your zits. Your spot treatment regimen will never be the same.

avarell and cosrx patches on a reviewer's face, the avarelle patch is more transparent
reviewer holding used patches full of goo

Promising review: "These have been life changing for me. As opposed to other brands, this has been the only one that works in protecting and getting rid of pimples, and is absolutely the only one that is thin and transparent enough to wear in public or under makeup. Cosrx also makes a hydrocolloid patch similar to this, which is only meant to absorb anything inside your breakout (aka they only are meant to really work on whiteheads) however when I’ve used their version, it sticks out like a sore thumb and makes no difference in the size or appearance of my breakout after the recommended wear time. Since the Avarelle patches also contain soothing ingredients, they work to calm inflammation in breakouts that are under my skin as well; I no longer use ANY spot treatments, and aside from masks this is the only product I use to treat my occasional breakouts. After sleeping with the Avarelle patches, my breakouts are usually either totally flat, or gone. As you can see in the photo, the Avarelle patches are paper thin and colorless, but somehow still absorb a million times more than the Cosrx." —Kris

Promising review: "I don't really know anything about makeup, but I attended a wedding, and I felt like it was appropriate for me to wear a little. My eyes are hooded, and eyeshadow pigments always end up along my hidden crease, creating a huge mess. My sister, a makeup lover, told me that all I need was a good eye primer that would hold the pigments in place. I don't really know how to blend, but with this, my drugstore eyeshadow pigment stayed on my lids for eight hours with very slight fading. This definitely gets 5 stars." —Tabitha Reed

"I'd never used an eyelid primer before and wasn't sure what to expect. WOW! This is so easy to use! The first time I used it was for a wedding in the middle of July on a 95 degree afternoon. This stuff kept my eyeshadow fresh until midnight! This is great!!! —Cynthia A

Promising review: "Love it so much had to get it in three colors! I got black croc, brown croc, and the beige croc. They’re all so pretty and I use them as my everyday purse. The thing I like most about these are the size — I bought a similar style purse and it was way too small and had to return it. But this holds my wallet, phone, lip glosses, and everything else I need to carry. Super good quality too and I love the thick strap; it’s more comfortable and doesn’t fall off your shoulder. Overall I think they’re worth the price tag." —Amazon Customer

    17. Super durable and reliable Invisibobble hair ties for a great everyday option that'll blend in with your 'do and will put the fabric-covered elastics you've been using every day since middle school to shame.

transparent coiled hair tie and its packaging
reviewer with the brown version holding their hair in a ponytail

Personally, I plan on never using any hair ties other than these for as long as I live. They're marketed as "traceless," or that they won't leave a crease, but if you have your hair up for a long time, I think there's gonna be a crease no matter what. That's not what I like about them. For me, it's all about the comfort and the GRIP. I can just put my hair up with it and forget about it the rest of the day, without adjusting it a zillion times. They stay put and make for messy-bun perfection. I'm also headache prone, and these are super comfy and don't cause headaches even if my hair's up all day. They're comfier and more attractive-looking just chilling on my wrist than normal elastics, too. And OH, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the freaking DURABILITY. One of these things — despite being either in my hair or on my wrist 24/7 — lasts me for actual months. Not only do they not fall out of your hair and get lost, but even when they get super stretched out, they shrink back down to the right size to be usable again. Can't say enough good things.

Promising review: "It sounds like hyperbole to say that these hair ties changed my life, but it's true. I sleep with my hair in a messy topknot using these elastics every night. In the morning, I just take my hair down, run a brush through it, and that's it. My hair is done, and more voluminous than ever before. I do have pretty low-maintenance hair in general (long, naturally straight) but I never thought it could be THIS EASY. One note: I still use normal elastics when I work out because these don't always hold tight enough when I'm running." —Rachel P.

A reviewer wearing the elbow-length-sleeve dress in navy and white windowpane print
reviewer wearing the dress in navy, red, and yellow plaid

Promising review: "This is one of my absolute favorite work dresses of all time! I feel like Joan from Mad Men every time I wear it. I get compliments every time. This dress looks even better with a skinny belt, and the mock turtleneck collar is a classy detail that pulls it all together. The fabric is stretchy enough to hug your curves, but not cheap looking. It's thin enough to be comfortable, lightweight and breathable, while still being opaque and good quality. Oh, and it doesn't wrinkle!! I'm usually a size US 14/16, and the 2XL fits me like a glove." —Rebecca

My sister suggested Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect, and I IMMEDIATELY fell in love. It provides dramatic length and great volume. I can honestly say I can’t stop looking at my eyelashes in the mirror every single day because of how awesome they look. Also, it is very long-wearing. 25. Orly's Bonder base coat, which will change your nail game for good. It'll keep that beautiful mani/pedi you worked so hard on intact for days (perhaps over a week) to come, and actually make your nails easier to paint.

    bottle of the product
    reviewer's matte burgundy nails

The reviewer with the gorg mani above said their nails stayed perfect after a long day of gardening and housework! I personally am an Orly devotee as well — I love almost all of their products that I've tried, and their polish bottles have an excellent grippy handle. After seeing the amazing reviews for the base coat, I tried it too, and I'm blown away. The product calls itself "rubberized," which is a great way to describe the not unpleasantly sticky way it leaves your nails ready to better stick to polish. The major bonus is that with this, my clumsy self is able to do a better job of painting my nails to begin with. Because of said rubbery stickiness, my polish brush doesn't slip all over the place or over the edges of my super-short nails. I'm able to do a way cleaner, more precise job, which then lasts longer too. With this and the brand's top coat, I've gotten my longest-lasting, best-looking at-home manis ever. TL;DR, this is a must if you love doing your nails yourself.

Promising review: "JUST BUY IT. This stuff is amazing. Prior to using this, my nails would last two, AT MOST three days without chipping. Now that I use this as a base coat, my manicures last at least a week with no major chipping. The very edge or tip might become worn down a little, but it's definitely not noticeable. I could probably keep them looking decent for two weeks if I added another coat of topcoat and was a little more careful with them. I was skeptical about buying this at first because I wasn't sure that a base coat would make much of a difference in the longevity of my manicure. I thought the secret to lasting nails mostly depended on the topcoat used, but I was wrong. Doing my nails is a lot more fun now that I don't have to worry about chipping after two days!" —Elizabeth

    Madewell

Promising review: "I had been on the hunt for a good oversized denim jacket when I saw this. I had a coupon expiring so I decided to go for it and I'm so glad I did! Unlike some of the denim jackets I've purchased in the past that were made with similar non-stretch denim, this one feels lived-in already. I'm thankful it was; it doesn't give me the annoying stiff cardboard feeling that some of my cheaper jackets often do and is instead a soft, rigid feel. I'd say it's true to size as it was advertised as an oversized fit and I feel it is the perfect amount of oversized at my usual outerwear XXL. I can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can wear it out and about!" —MMM10

I'm 5'10" and I often find 'one size' to be too short, but these fit down to my ankle. The best part is, the top doesn't roll and they don't slide down. Keeping in mind I'm wearing them during winter, they also didn't make me sweat. I didn't want to take them off. I need to order a billion pairs, including a few to wear to bed." —Avery T

    28. *THE* Dyson Supersonic hair dryer, which, my friends, I must tell you lives up to all the hype. I did not think a luxury hair dryer would change my life, but I was wrong. This wonder is designed to not just be freakin' gorgeous, but work for all hair types, reduce heat damage and frizz, and increase shine. Plus, it comes with five amazing magnetic attachments that are a breeze to switch out.

One of my besties FULLY spoiled me for my birthday this year and got me this gorg special edition royal blue version of the famous Dyson dryer. I was skeptical, but has blown me and my hair away. I hate gadgets and products that require a lot of setup or learning curve. This was not that at all — I popped it out of the luxe storage case, fastened on the styling concentrator head, plugged it in, and it was ready to use in seconds. The three speed, four heat setting, and cool shot buttons are super user-friendly and no more complicated than on a regular hairdryer. What is different? The POWER. This thing truly lives up to the "Supersonic" name with the power of the airflow, but is still relatively lightweight and just feels so luxe in your hand. I love the sound when you turn it off: it's a so-quick "zip" of the air shutting off like the noise a cartoon UFO would make sucking up a cow from a field — it makes it clear how this thing can go from 0 to 100 back to 0 again, all without getting too hot.

The magnetic head and detachable parts are also so cool — the magnet is strong but the heads easily snap on and off. I've really only used the basic styling concentrator head and played around a little with the smoothing, flyaway-busting attachment, but the Dyson YouTube channel has tutorials on how to make the most of all attachments. The dryer also comes with a gentle air head for fine hair and sensitive scalps, a wide-tooth comb attachment for curly and textured hair, and a diffuser for defining curls and waves. Basically anything you could need for a blowout is in this sleek box.

TL;DR: The Dyson dryer is worth the splurge because it can make pretty much every day a great hair day and, if you're someone who regularly gets professional blowouts, will save you money on those in the long run. I have honestly been feeling more confident in meetings and fabulous in my outfits when I've got an epic Dyson blowout happening. So yes, life and style game totally changed.

Promising review: "I love my new dryer. I have very curly hair and it used to take an hour to dry my hair. I have cut that time down to 20 mins. I am biracial and have never had a product that allowed me to diffuse my hair without fizziness and or completely drying my hair out. I also purchased the Corrale straightener. Even after using the Corrale my curls pop right back. I love my products. Dyson is on point. I waited over a year to invest in these products, but the quality is worth every penny." —ALilly

    29. A clever, chameleon-like Hackwith Design House shirt that can be tied and untied to be worn over five ways, with a variety of necklines *and* as an open cardigan. It's truly the MVP — most versatile player.

BuzzFeed Shopping editor Chelsea Stuart says: "I have this shirt and I *love* it. All credit for its discovery goes to TikToker @jennifer.bianca who I happened to stumble across on my FYP. It checks all my boxes: black, comfortable, versatile, and durable. My initial worry was that I wouldn't feel secure in it (I have a 38DDD chest and most wrap tops/dresses I've tried haven't stayed where they're supposed to), but I haven't had an issue with this! I've worn it tied in the front giving me a square neck (like the middle picture) and tied in the back giving me a V-neck up front (just like the photo on the right) — both were super comfortable, and I didn't have to adjust myself at all. As someone whose weight fluctuates, I also appreciate that this piece can handle pounds gained and lost. The fabric is medium weight, so I'll be wearing it season to season, and there's just enough elasticity in the arms that if you roll up your sleeves, they won't fall back down. All that is to say trust that I will be buying additional colors!"

Get it from Hackwith Design House for $145 (available in sizes XS/S–3X/4X and in five colors).

Promising reviews: "I saw this on TikTok and for $8 thought I'd take a chance. I have sensitive skin and have to watch what I use. I LOVE this product! Goes on smooth and you don't need to use a lot. I put it on before I put on my foundation. Makes a huge difference. Highly recommend and will buy again!!" —Leslie Mattingly

"Normally my makeup goes on great, but then once it dries it's super crusty and shows my pores. This made everything so smooth and my skin has never looked so healthy. Even after I took my makeup off, my skin felt moisturized, which is a hard thing to do with my dry skin. I saw the hype all over social media about this primer and I never believed it, but finally decided to take the plunge and test it out and now I'll never go without it." —Taylor Kessinger

    31. Cult Gaia's now-iconic Hera bag, aka the bag I've seen everyone carrying at fashion week. Yes, it's an It item of the moment, but it's also one of the best going-out bags I've ever seen, period. The size and handle make it much more practical than a teeny clutch, and the rhinestone mesh goes with every single dressy outfit. Glitter is a neutral — I'm calling it once and for all.

Promising review: "I've been wearing this style for over a year now. I have two pairs of the bike shorts and one pair of the full-length leggings. I wear each item at least once a week, depending on weather. I've worn them on day hikes and on long run days and on relay days where I do short runs at certain intervals all day long. They are the only compression bottoms I've found that actually support my body when I run. They're also incredibly comfortable and don't feel constricting at all, which feels like magic given how supportive they are! Also: pockets. I am spoiled now and refuse to buy any workout bottoms without pockets." —Meghan P.

    33. Winky Lux Glimmer Balm in Rosé, a glitzy, cruelty-free, vegan, phthalate- and sulfate-free wonder of a lippie that adjusts to the pH of your skin to turn the perfect, noticeable-yet-natural(ish) shade of pink. Because everything — including the most minimal beauty routines — is better with glitter.

This is a staple for me, and though I now own lots of Winky Lux's pH balms, this is still my fave shade. I think the really amazing thing about the balm (besides the sorcery that allows it to adjust to your unique skin tone) is how well it suits all different beauty styles. For example, I really don't wear makeup other than the occasional statement lip to suit my outfit. I never — seriously, never — wear natural-looking lip color. This is fun and makes enough of a statement for me to actually want to wear it. On the other hand, even though the bullet is super glittery, the finish on your lips doesn't look too much glitzier than a gloss, so even my typically sparkle-avoiding mom wants to borrow it!

Get it from Target for $15.99 or Amazon for $15.99+ (available in five colors).

Promising review: "This is the most perfect bathing suit. I'm about 200 pounds, wear a 16/20 depending on brand, and have a VERY difficult time finding bathing suits that fit the way I want. I took the advice of other reviewers and purchased the XXXL. IT BLEW ME OUT OF THE WATER, HOLY HECK!!! The fit is, in a word, perfect. I'm very glad the bust area has more fabric, as previous reviews have stated, since I'm not even close to lacking in that department. I may just buy this in every color." —Emma Maas

    35. A faux-croc biker jacket that is the literal dictionary definition of badass — and will make you feel like one, too.

    Katy Herman/BuzzFeed, Express

As a jacket-obsessed fashionista *and* someone who boycotts real leather for ethical reasons, I am a longtime devotee of Express faux leather jackets. The style I've been wearing for years has been discontinued (*sob*), but I was thrilled when I saw this statement-making twist in the store and knew it would become a regular in my rotation. I drool over everything about it — how it's structured but relatively lightweight, the badass biker belt, the zippers, the texture, and mainly the shoulder pads that give it a cool shape and make me feel like Marisa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny (a forever style icon). More pluses? *Pockets* and the fact that the hardware isn't silver or gold, but just black, so it goes with more and looks extra sleek. I brought this on a vacation to California (where it was chilly!) and wore it over a skirt, jeans, and a sparkly NYE dress, so yes it truly can do it all. 10/10 recommend playing around pairing it with soft colors like pastels and pinks for some cool contrast — the outfit above is one of my favorites I've worn maybe EVER.

    36. Glossier Boy Brow, a hypoallergenic, cruelty-free brow shaping and filling gel that's got a huge fanbase. Based on the amazing but natural-looking difference it makes, I can totally see why.

    Anamaria Glavan / BuzzFeed

BuzzFeed Shopping contributor AnaMaria Glavan says, "The precision that is required to literally draw in an eyebrow is a feat of Da Vinci proportions — and no, I’m not being overdramatic. I have tried to use pencil brow liners and it looked like a 3-year-old drew on my face. But dilemma time: when I put on my foundation, I feel like my eyebrows blend into my skin. So what should a girl who cannot color inside the lines of her brows do? Here’s what I needed: an eyebrow filler that would very lightly enhance my eyebrows (I prefer a natural-looking makeup routine), act like gel for all the unruly hairs that live above my eyes, and have a brusher application that would make the ordeal an easy one. No pencils. Step in Boy Brow, a cult-favorite that is loved by everyone and their Insta-famous mothers. But believe the hype: this magic bottle is proof that not all heroes wear capes. The creamy formula, which comes in blond, black, clear, and brown (which is what I used!), goes on smoothly and doesn’t require a lot of product to do the job. One coat was more than enough! My facial caterpillars have never looked better." Check out her full Boy Brow review (#5).
