I honestly don't get why people are so mad at the Palpatine line. Like... what else was he supposed to say? He doesn't know how Palpatine returned, and figuring out how/why wasn't the important part. Yeah, a lot of the audience want an explanation, but that's not what matters.

The one about The Giver only mentions a fraction of what was wrong with that movie. They took a deep, poignant social commentary and turned it into a cheap action flick.
